  1. Millions of dollars at her disposal and it sounds like she recorded the audio on this gem. That voice is like an ice pick in the nads.
  2. I found many travel parents to be borderline psychotic when it came to interacting with coaches, officials and parents. I wasn't always thrilled with the structure of the organization(s), either, as there often seemed to be more of a profit motive than I would like to see. Maybe soccer is different. Big picture, I think 'travel' clubs contribute to our global enviro issues and can be quit divisive in practice. I'd eliminate them totally.
  3. Am I being punkd? Is that you Ashton Kuchner, over behind the potted plant?? I said 3 times Benghazi was political. Impeachment is political. My point was only that given what happened in Benghazi, there is not a political adversary that would not 'launch an investigation'. The cover up made it uglier than it was. It was an outright lie to the American people, manufactured and as I indicated earlier, imo, an effort to sew seeds of hatred against Libyans. But political, yes. Always. 100% of the time.
  4. You asked what I thought and then punched me in the nose for answering? Come on Kirb, it's Christmas! I'm just a guy on a message board killing time!
  5. I worry about a stop sign blowing off in high winds and slicing me in half as I sit behind the Toyota Camry in front of me--so I get the concern. However, for the Bills to make some noise in the playoffs, they need to continue playing defense at a high level, and get on a bit of a run on O. I don't think that McD is of the mind that taking time off leads to performance at a high level, nor does mailing in a game to a divisional opponent. It seems contrary to the type of intensity he likes to see. I do think we could see some guys off the field early, but for now, I'll trust the process but keep some extra diesel, rags and pitchforks in case we need to track down a certain Gingerbead man later.
  6. Indeed--Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. What a year, any way you slice it!
  7. As always I appreciate the civility extended as we disagree. I'm many things, naive is not one of them. It surprises me to hear you say it irked you that the Republican's "used it", while sort of glossing over the cover up. The cover up itself was political, why would anything else not be? It is interesting to me though, that in the eyes of Obama/Clinton supporters, a President excersizing his authority when considering extending foreign aid to a corrupt nation (that seems to be acknowledged by all, including current candidates Joe Biden) is impeachable, yet allowing the assassination of an ambassador and those their to protect him and concocting an elaborate cover up to impact the elections that falls apart in 14 days is just another day in Washington. As for my naivete regarding Rs ans Ds, here is what I have come to conclude. People like Obama, Clinton, Bush et al run in the same circles, form alliances and count on the collective innocence (or ignorance) of the voting public to not pick up on the scheme. It's the only thing that makes sense given the aftermath of election after election where horrible, horrible things are said about the other candidate, "Bush manufactures a war and young people die as a result) giving way to alliances after all is said and done. Mutually assured destruction and alliances of the heart are the reasons Obama wasn't impeached. Trump falls outside that circle of friends, and as pointed out many times here, poses a threat to that "thing of theirs".
  8. I’m still trying to figure this out. Is Biden stuttering or reproducing one of the between 20-100 people he calls every week? For what it’s worth, he sounded like a malfunctioning geriatric cyborg in Schwarzenegger’s latest epic Terminator 23:A Wrinkle In Time.
  9. Like most things in life, it’s more complicated than that, but one could argue that cutting a deal with your mortal enemy comes with risk. It seems not in dispute that a substantial, life-altering amount of money went in cash, which certainly inspires confidence in one’s leadership. It always amazed me that these proud nations of the world could pool the finest minds in the world and figure out the Iran Nuclear deal, but the only way for Barry to settle up with the Ayatollah was a cargo load of cash that disappears into the mist. My only question Is how much was skimmed off the top as it hands touched it, including Obama, Clinton, Biden and the rest.
  10. Don't project Doc. I never said nor implied R good D bad. On the other hand, you're hanging your hat on the notion that Obama was a viewed as a presidential Care Bear or he would have been impeached, and that's nothing more than mythology. You can choose to believe it if it makes you feel good, but that does not make it fact. There are all sorts of mistakes made politically. Is it fair to suggest that if the Rs allowed the Obama/Clinton Benghazi coverup to go unchecked that perhaps Clinton becomes president? The death of an American ambassador on the presidential watch will always--100% of the time--result in investigations. When you factor in a bs storyline to explain why the US govt was caught with its pantsuit down, I'm not sure what you're thinking. I'm comfortable calling it political, because it is, but you cannot revise history to suit your needs.
  11. Benghazi was a clusterf&*$ and there is not a political party ever that would not have launched an investigation. Obama and his team mishandled it badly, left an Ambassador to die and created a false narrative in the aftermath to influence voters by fanning the flames of hatred against Lybians. Had there been a functioning, independent press to call him out on it when it mattered, who know what might have happened to his likability. Impeachment inquiries were not launched because they were not launched. That’s the fact.
  12. As a person who would be forced to stand before the wall, I reject Pippi Longstocking’s apology as shallow and manipulative.
  13. I don’t know if WNY’s own Wolf Blitzer ever had any substantial moral fiber, but this q&a session with McCabe is disgraceful. He’s at the center of one of the biggest debacles in the history of the FBI, he was escorted from the premises and stripped of his pension, and is now dancing around the issue like an organ grinders monkey and Wolf is laying at his feet like a submissive. It’s even amazing that he accepted some BS new age “baked in” explanation...the FBI is brought to its knees because some flunky on the first floor made a typo on page 7? Salvage some pride Wolf. There had to be a time when you rolled out of bed to deliver the Courier Express, or walked down Delaware Avenue with the wind cutting through you like a knife, rubber boots with buckles broken and your sneakers getting wet, your feet freezing but you made it through. You’re basically a neutered house cat, 35 pounds of fat on a 15 pound frame playing in a sandbox full of your own #$@&. This douche could interview Epstein tomorrow and fail to ask him if he killed himself.
  14. Bette(y) : Great in Yentle; Excellent on The View where she plays the half-crazy "comedienne" long past her prime; Made a tactical error posting with the decapitated head; Has not been relevant since 1983. Credit to her though--it's hard to portray yourself definitively as a nutcase in one tweet
  15. Ah, I understand your thought process but that’s the same as saying dropped passes, poorly run routes and missed assignments don’t mean anything during a game. The sequence of plays changes, the sense of urgency changes, and momentum changes as well. When JP gets an Unsportsmanlike penalty after a late TD, the appearance is that the wheels are off the bus. Whether the team feels that way or not is debatable, but it sure appears that way. When the Bills are moving the ball and JA fights for his life to pick up 4th and 1, makes it and 15 is tacked on because of a lack of discipline occurs on the part of the Pats defense, the impact could be substantial. The fact that it wasn’t called when obvious also logically leads to a WTF moment for the player. was it the only factor? No. Did it mean anything at all—especially in light of the first game where arguably the pats targeted the head of JA on a scramble, yes, it means a lot.
  16. I’m so torn on this video sequence. Options: Eddie Murphy playing Jalen on SNL. If this clip isn’t made for parody, I don’t know what is; Jalen Ramsey rebooting the old “Leon” commercials and becoming absurdly wealthy because it would be awesome; Smashing my iPad and cancelling internet service because Rex Ryan, football, and the Buffalo Bills all appear concurrently on my screen;
  17. My God. Standing or sitting at ones discretion willy nilly all day long? Thunderdome. You work in Thunderdome.
  18. Bodies were left in the wake of this investigation, with people off to jail for a long time. The reputation of the FBI/DOJ is in tatters, and we’ve learned for the 457th time that when given unfettered power and access and ability to operate in the shadows, the people in charge are corrupt/corruptable and seek to create the world as they want it to be. It seems clear to me that the system is designed to protect the corrupt, at least insofar as the IG needed a memo on FBI letterhead signed by everyone involved with a declaration of actual bias to acknowledge same. That does not surprise me—one of the problems with govt is that the structure provides fertile ground for corruption. Tough to get fired, multiple layers of redundancy, virtually guaranteed lifetime income, unlimited funding, and the kicker—its never going out of business and has no competition. Agree with everything you’ve said.
  19. Bullsh&t. Well, maybe crying about it on social media makes those folks look silly. I agree with you on that. the NFL has an officiating problem. It’s inconsistent in-game, and on plays where defensive holding is called one time to sustain a drive, and ignored the next time, why is it an issue to call it out. I listen to Sirius NFL, and the officiating has been a major topic of conversation all season. If the perspective is “special rules for special players” as you suggest, well, it’s even worse than incompetence, it’s in-game manipulation and thus...kinda sorta fixed, or tilted precariously. I don’t think it’s fixed by the way, but man I’d appreciate a Pats game where we walked away saying “Holy crap we got a break on that spot on 4th and one when the RB was obviously very short, and man we got that defensive holding call and then the officials just let em play, and man, we caught a real break when jerry Hughes grabbed Brady’s face mask on that sneak and they missed it”.
  20. The problem with your theory is that the Republicans when in control of the house, did not pounce on an impeachable offense, real or imagined. In fact, as Cotton Eyed Joe was shaking down the Ukes and bragging about it, it hardly caused a ripple nationally. I’m not naive, I don’t think the Republicans are pure as the driven snow, I simply think of it as two warring street gangs with an uneasy alliance where one suddenly loses it’s collective mind and figures the theory of “mutually assured destruction” is a bunch of bs. You raised an excellent point on Garland, but it’s not the one you think. Republican response to Garland: We have control of the Senate, we are going to play the loyal Opposition role and simply wait you out as is our right. Democrat response to Kavanaugh: Well, we Borked Borke, we nearly destroyed Clarence Thomas over an allegation of a ***** hair on a Pepsi can...let’s find a willing assassin to make a vague, unfounded, unsubstantiated and completely unprovable allegation of sexual assault from 40 years ago (phase 1), let’s send in our best prosecutorial team in to destroy him in the public square in front of his wife and daughters, and in phase 2, we’ll launch another attack that suggests he’s the lead engineer of a rape train. If he cracks and they find him in the garage with the door down and car running, awesome. If a crazy from our side takes him out, great. If he survives it all and isn’t institutionalized when all is said and done, the message has been sent to Trumps next appointee. Put another way, consider Garland, Kavanaugh, Souter and Sotameyer in context. I am not suggesting anything, I’m stating emphatically that the next Trump nominee to the SC will get exactly the same treatment as Kavanaugh, though the proportionality will be ratcheted up. Why? Because their base can look at Garland and are willing to accept that it’s the same as Kavanaugh...the same as Mueller...the same as Impeachment over a president. If, say, Amy Coney Barrett is the nominee to replace RGB, watch respected jurist and mother of 6 be subjected to all sorts of innuendo and allegations of sexual misconduct. I’d predict at a minimum inappropriate physical contact with impressionable underclassmen at ND, but likely much worse.
  21. I don’t want to seem overly dramatic, but this all comes on the heels of the 3 dark years of the Russian narrative. It’s not impulsive, it was calculated and an attempt to destroy Trump and his family. The Kavanaugh hearing was not organic, it was meant to destroy a man in front of his family, and to destroy his wife and children for good measure. Their ultimate play to destroy him, and if in the process they win in 2020, that’s gravy.
  22. I’ve been wrong before. I look at it like this. If enough people are truly dumb enough to buy an argument that an Impeachment hearing that magically becomes #resistTHEsenate when the entire process is dependent on the senate, and said people vote, well it’s hard to overcome that volume of dumb and the game is lost anyway. we have a shot here at getting some semblance of balance back, but some heads have to roll (figuratively speaking). I don’t hold out a lot of hope, I know far too many decent, educated and otherwise honorable people seemingly comfortable with all that has transpired because Trump ain’t their guy. Seriously, who the &$#@ wants an out of control DOJ steamrolling it’s citizens for political gain? The answer is every ordinary American willing to sit idly by and watch it happen.
  23. To quote 44..”NA NA NAH HOLD ON JUST A SECOND!”. This was one of the fakes?? I pressed help to help Jesus win! Jesus isn’t even a Russian??
  24. It's a Prius Sport, and I pride myself on being thorough. And let's not forget Tom has that whole Russell Crowe "Beautiful Mind" thing going, it takes me 45 minutes just to get the crayon off the windows.
  25. Oh crap Mr. Tom...I forgot to ask----did you want the Lemoncello Myst or Oprah's Acaiberry Muffin after-detail air freshener? Dr of Dorkology
