Breaking news. Juries are dumb. Just like MAGA. Actually, MAGA's probably dumber given that everybody avoids the redneck MAGA dregs in jury pools because they're so stupid and unpredictable. So the idea that you'd get a brighter jury in MAGA country is just wrong. Agreed. Self-inflicted wounds. Have fun sweating it out at trial(s). Why not ask this guy about quantum physics. He has just as much experience there as he does in a courtroom. And, instead of blaming a likely result on a jury that hasn't been picked, perhaps he may wish to consider evaluating the facts known now and the facts that eventually are adduced at trial. Relying on this guy to give an opinion on a legal matter is like asking @Docabout an effective treatment for COVID. It's the height of foolishness.

Looks like we should add to the list of things not to try in a small town are either copyright infringement (which I don't buy for a second) or faithfulness to one's principles. What a phony.

One of the many problems he has right now is his out. Normally a case/cases like this would resolve through a plea. Inasmuch as he's a lying d-bag, I'd be reluctant to cut a deal with this guy because I don't trust him not to pull a Chris Collins later on and whine on every "conservative" network around about how he was "coerced." Many defendants, of course, do such a thing, but this guy and his history are different. So the feds might run this clown through a jury or juries and go for the throat.

I agree with some of this. I hope that better o-line play either confirms a lot of this (WRs, for example), or obviates it (Allen's load, for example).

It's hard to say. The reputation of his attorneys does not seem to be all that great. Then again, I've had cases with people with sterling reputations who left me utterly unimpressed after dealing with them on papers and in person. The reality is that nobody with a future wants to deal with this guy because he's toxic, America will likely awaken to the fact that he's toxic in the somewhat near future, the cases are dogs, and this fool probably will burn them when they inevitably either lose or get an 11-1 hung jury because of some bozo MAGA who makes them repeat the endeavor once or twice. Aside from the immediate infusion of cash and instant notoriety (all press is good press, I guess?), there's nothing to be gained by working with this guy.

The more I think about it, the more I think McD stuck with Frazier after 13 seconds because he didn't want to have three new coordinators last year. Daboll left by choice, Farwell more or less had to go, and then there was Frazier.

I think I mentioned last week that it's easier to teach a chicken about gravity than it is to educate MAGA. And now that TSOL guy is imitating a chicken. I've said it before, and it merits repeating: the jokes write themselves here.

What exactly is the "fake woke mob?" It sounds like another MAGA invention. Like Antifa. I don't have a problem with the lyrics of the song. I have a problem with the coupling of the lyrics and the subject imagery. If that position of reasonableness and empathy for people who have been crapped on by our society for far too long makes me whatever "fake woke mob" is, then so be it. At bottom, this whole thing is kind of like Trump's Tulsa speech. That location was selected for a reason. So was this one. Draw your own conclusions. That Mr. Tough Guy Jason Aldean--probably the only guy who could have warned people as to what was going on--turned tail. Maybe, truthfully, it's better that he didn't use the microphone lest he have incited a stampede. I don't blame him for his choice. But it's pretty clear what the poster's point is.

Hoax. They know now that the mix of imagery and lyrics is bad. Instead of reshooting, or apologizing, or using the moment to speak against racism, they doubled down and blew the dog whistle. Shame.
