  1. Not that I’m in favor of this but if we plan on playing more man next year and Elam gets his act together a very easy thing to improve the d would be to flip one of Douglas or Benford to safety and to then invest that pick elsewhere. (I’m totally against moving Benford, FWIW, but the thought exercise there is a reasonable one.)
  2. Agreed on ##2 and 4. Hopeful on #1. Disagree on #3. Here's my unpopular opinions: Dawson Knox is wildly overrated, Gabe Davis sucks, and Kaiir Elam could be an important piece of the D next year. EDIT: one more - If we can get a 2024 #1 for Diggs, he should be out of here on the next flight. Deep draft at WR, could even take two in the first round, and affords an excellent change to either trade way up (two 24 #1s plus a 25 #1 gets us pretty far up the board) or reload with some good, young, cheap talent in a year where the cap is an issue.
  3. It has already started. Shakir Kincaid Torrence cook Bernard Benford. Time to supplement on O and get fresher on D. We need to nail the draft and maybe lean into a different direction on D (more man next year?) but we are headed in the right direction.
  4. Quitter. I know what it’s like to lose. Moreso, I strongly suspect, than just about everyone here. It hurts. But the best way to avoid losing again is to get up and chase your goal harder. I might lose again next time, but it won’t be for lack of effort or desire. The only thing than one accomplishes by giving up is ensuring that she/he will never meet that goal.
  5. You got it. Anyone who feels otherwise is a quitter. The reality is that we are very close. Maybe even one Chris Jones bull rush away from taking them out. Keep on grinding and whaling away in that rock and it will break. Just like anything and everything else in life.
  6. Hit the rock until it breaks. We’re going to keep on hitting, and that thing is goi g to break.
  7. Just what I was thinking. SF’s D is gassed.
  8. I'm not saying that I think this is going to happen, but maybe they're sick of his childish BS, the attendant headaches, and the friction with the boss (Josh Allen), and Houston is one of few available destinations for him with the contract. The other possibility, of course, is that he's such a toxic butthole behind the scenes that sending him to a rival might be addition by subtraction for us and subtraction by addition for them.
  9. None. This is just a guess, but my bet is that there are a lot of people in the facility exhausted by his BS.
  10. This. Huge attitude problem is an apt characterization. Also maybe not an idiot, but does some things that an idiot would do.
  11. He was a headache in at least one instance behind the scenes. "Antics" is the perfect word for it.
  12. I'm good with Johnson for another year. Tough. Runs the sweep well. Reliable with the ball. Catches relatively well. We can do worse at RB2 given the resources we have and holes we need to fill.
  13. At this point, in this draft, with Shakir having come on and Kincaid looking like a superstar in the making, I would be very, very, very tempted by that proposal.
  14. He’s been a butthead behind the scenes. I’ll leave it at that.
  15. Yes to both. Easily. They both helped change the culture. And Hyde made arguably the best play that I have seen live in that stadium having attended hundreds of games. To get that pick against NE in the WC game given where he came from on the field . . . It was breathtaking.
  16. This is the year that missing on the Basham pick really, really hurts.
  17. I didn’t buy into the malcontent narrative before this year. Now, I’m more open to the idea. At the very least I sense he’s a headache. I know some people who have dealt with him and—take this for what it’s worth—I can see how he would be an extremely difficult and grating co-worker.
  18. Agreed 110% on Henry. WR probably was our worst position group last year. Son? Wow. I would have figured grandson.
  19. F this. There's no such thing as curses. I love our fan base, but we need to learn to be more defiant in the face of defeat. Things don't go right? Get up, get back at it, and hit the rock harder next time. As long as you keep on trying, it will eventually break.
  20. Zach Wilson. That’s his trade value. Bust for bust.
  21. I hate them both. It was a little easier to stomach the patriots because Brady had class. I don’t like people who douse the commoners in champagne (Brittany), or act entitled with women (Jackson, allegedly), or act like classes jerks to our guys after a loss (Pat). The last one was so insulting that it would threaten the friendship if I was Josh. Just a whiny, spoiled, entitled family.
  22. They may have been forced to move quickly by events outside of our knowledge.
