Beat the jags.

I want to like him, but I can't get there. Love the compete, but not the feet. Not sure about the arm. A little casual with the ball, which might not hurt him there but will lead to a lot of completions to the wrong team in the NFL.

Credit is due. Nice call. And it was a timeless Bills moment. We will talk about it 40 years from now. Well done.

Yes. We're due for an upset that works in our favor. Totally unimpressed by Baltimore.

Terry Pegula: "We Have to Fix Replay"
SectionC3 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love the response from Terry. Mac stared a hole through the ref of the field (loved that, too), and Terry stuck up for his team today. We need all,the support from the top we can get for Sunday. What at is so aggravating about the Benjamin reversal is that it was contrary to the "indisputable evidence" rule. The steelers/pats call, though vexing, was the right call. The issue there was the rule, which is stupid but which was enforced properly. In our situation, the NFL enforced the rule improperly. As much of a garage league as it may be, the NHL does its player discipline thing very well with the you tube videos. I would LOVE to see Al Riveron narrate a video explaining exactly how the evidence that Benjamin did not catch that ball is indisputable. Objectively speaking, I think Benjamin probably didn't catch the ball, but Im not sure of that, meaning that the call shouldn't have been reversed. Terry made the point well -- replay was meant to fix obvious errors, not to change the result of something that wasn't obviously a mistake. -
Nate Solder may be out (update - active)

Out. Standing. Laughed out loud! -
This would be the biggest win since...?

Miami is the must-win for us. But knocking New England out of the #1 seed would be a fantastic win no matter the outcome of our season. -
Definitely more exciting. But on a bad way today.

This is something I totally agree with. But don't be afraid to buy a boring S&P index fund (like VFIAX).

John Murphy Scolds Bills Fans For Being "Negative"
SectionC3 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is being obstinate when he claims ignorance as to the meaning of that term. I heard the exchange, and I thought his position to be absurd. He has watched as much bills football as anyone over the last 30 years and, of anyone should get it, it's him. -
It did. I was there and was worried that he would relinquish possession if the ball, and that we would have a very "Billsy" ending. But he gave himself up, and it was properly acknowledged.

Nitpicky topic: opening kickoff
SectionC3 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jets did it to us. Leon Washington back in the day. This rule is the reason tolbert's fumble recovery was reviewed. If Tolbert recovered OOB, then ball = OOB. -
One more point in the real estate thing. If there is a new stadium in the works, one might struggle to find it through a heat search b/c sales likely accomplished through llc transfer and transactions.

It depends whether the person disseminating the information has a "muzzle" clause in his or her contract for employment. At least as interesting as the information (football stuff seems plausible; stadium stuff seems bogus) is the identity of the disgruntled leaker. "Fired" could be a lot of people - Berchtold, Whaley (who still may have contacts in the building), etc. Maybe it's someone whose termination hasn't been publicized. Maybe someone like Jim Overdorf or Russ feels marginalized. I initially thought it might be Jim Kelly or a buddy, but the hunting thing smells like a little intentional misinformation. Either way, the whole Dunkirk Dan thing has been good entertainment. We'll see whether any of the information proves to be true.

I think a Paladino-controlled LLC recently bought a couple of properties in that area. Maybe on Chicago St. by Conway Park. Which itself happens to be near a train line (probably a CSX line from what little I know about that stuff, but still.). And which also happens to be the perfect area for a downtown stadium.
-
Well put. Remember during the 1990s lease negotiation when Dennis gorski thought the stadium would attract hotels? Obviously never happened. And retail around a new stadium is a pipe dream. Check out the amazon ticker price. Retail is dead. Maybe a stadium district will support a few bars and restaurants, but the idea of a buffalo version of patriot place is fantasy.

One of the FAANG companies is going to come hard sooner or later. Personally I think it will be during the next round of negotiations, not in 2021. Digital rights are growing, too. But waiting on the stadium is a great point. This is a smartphone society, and attendance patterns are likely to continue a downward trend. I'm a big believer in the theory that big crowds make for better tv - so why risk dampening attendance with higher ticket prices to cover the cost of a new stadium? By 2021 they might be better off in inevesting in infrastructure at and around the current location
-
Its only tampering if we contact either the players or their agents. On the stadium front, I seriously doubt the south newstead idea unless there are major infrastructure changes we don't know about.
-
This is nonsense. We have a pretty good shot to get in at 9-7. That shot is better with a victory in NE as one of the nine wins. I cant image that we sit Taylor at NE under these circumstances.

probably J.D. Williams

Agreed. I started a thread awhile ago on how Kirk Cousins is the key to things for us. I still think that's the case. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 49ers attempt to flip Garrapolo for Cousins (and for Washington to bite on it) this offseason, thereby freeing the 49ers to (at least attempt to) trade their top pick for a haul of draft picks that will expedite their rebuilding process. If only we stumbled into a quarterback that allowed us to use this year's bevy of picks to replenish the roster . . . .

I think Mac contemplated a switch for this week during the New Orleans game. It was interesting to me that Peterman was protected by starters and threw to starters. In other words, Tyrod and (I believe) Shady were the only starters pulled from the blowout. At least one guy who has had a maintenance day recently (Incognito) was not. That suggests to me that Mac wanted as "true" a look at Peterman as possible.

Nathan Peterman to Start this Week.

This. Sunday was inept.
