  1. I think it may have solved a problem re: the reps to go around. McCarron probably fell back to #3 in the pecking order last night anyway, so now they can give more time with the 1s and 2s to Peterman and Allen. I'm not a Peterman guy, but he deserves a lot of credit. He looks like he put on muscle in the offseason, and it struck me that he looked like he didn't belong with the 3s last night. I'm impressed by the kid, and I think the Bills are, too. I also think that Allen is progressing much more quickly than they thought he would. He definitely has complicated the QB decision.
  2. I don't know if you've been to camp at all, but to my eyes the "live" look at all three of these guys has AJ as the "safe" play, Peterman as a nice guy who has insufficient arm strength, and Allen as a specimen. Allen seems to throw the deep stuff better than the short stuff. So maybe you're on to something here.
  3. Giants 2007. Worst weather ever. NE 56-10 is “up” there, too.
  4. Thats funny. And dumb on his part for running with it. There was an easy way to check stuff like that - at one point the station was an AP subscriber and would get “official” AP updates on a machine that basically acted as an inbound fax. Kudos to you for pulling off a great prank!
  5. He didn’t have to act. I don’t like the guy, but the fact is that he was very well wired.
  6. I’m not defending the guy - he caused a lot of havoc in my life. But he had some great sources and some incredibly interesting insight that he shared off air. Want a new scapegoat for SB XXV? Try “dumber than a bag of hammers” Walt Corey. Dickerson told a story about how he screamed at Corey in the showers at halftime of that Super Bowl b/c Corey was calling defenses the team hadn’t practiced or used for months.
  7. Ugh. Dickerson is a much smarter guy than people here give him credit for. He also is a loudmouth. No thanks to listening to him ever again.
  8. Most underrated Bill ever. Long overdue. All-time great player.
  9. Seriously - leave the Pegulas' marriage out of this. It has no place in this discussion. And, frankly, even if there was a workplace indiscretion in that relationship, it doesn't matter here. Two wrongs don't make a right. The Pegulas make the rules in their (private sector) businesses, and one of the rules apparently is that the company president shouldn't engage in a sexual relationship with a subordinate or subordinates. Another rule is don't lie to the boss. Various reports suggest that both of those rules were broken, and for those reasons (and perhaps more) Russ is out. As he should be. Terry and Kim -- or Bob and Mindy Rich or any other couple that owns a business together -- have nothing to do with this. I get that they're public figures, and commentary on the aptitude (or lack thereof) as professional sports owners is fair game. But their personal lives are not relevant to this discussion.
  10. I did read everything. You used the word “charged.” It has a criminal connotation, especially when used in the context of private sector workplace misconduct.
  11. Charged with what? You’re implying that something criminal occurred. Maybe we should tap or even slam on the brakes on that. I haven’t seen anything to indicate that Brandon’s conduct went beyond immorality and deceit.
  12. I’ll bite. What are your observations of men in the office based on your decades of “co-ed office experience”?
  13. Very well said. I feel horribly for his family. And I’m proud that a team in which I’m a stakeholder won’t tolerate this kind of garbage. Well done by the Pegulas.
  14. Lets not lose sight of the fact that Brandon was fired for deceit. And this isn’t a “me too” issue (not that I condone a superior having an intimate relationship with a subordinate.). The workplace affair compromises the boss, and it’s simply bad for business. That, plus the deceit in lying to the owner ..... he would have been fired from any business I’ve been associated with. Huh?
  15. Who was crying? And I don’t understand equating the melancholy over the lack of civil discourse EVERYWHERE in modern society with Aztec culture.
  16. It is if you fail to disclose a personal relationship with a subordinate and then lie to the boss about it.
  17. Didn’t thank Russ, huh? That should remove any doubt that he was shown the door. Bad move to exploit female employees and then lie to the boss about it.
  18. If I was his agent I'd have him on a diet. Specifically the Nick Hardwick diet. What better way to keep your bonus money and to punch your ticket out of dodge than to put yourself in a position where you don't have the body mass to do your job. It's a win-win for Incognito. No obligation to repay the bonus, and little likelihood that he's here this year.
  19. Im not sold on a bunch of these guys. I love Rosen, think Darnold could be really good, and could live with Lamar Jackson. Not sure about mayfield. Could boom or bust. Want no part of rudolph - can’t get past the Texas game on him. Think Allen is EJ Manuel w a better arm and a bit more mystery about him.
