  1. Neither of these teams are good enough to beat the Patriots and the referees.
  2. There was clearly PI on Patriots defenders that were not called. Twice alone on Lewis on third and long. You can try to spin this however you want, but the officiating was a fat pile of ****. Will be skipping the Superbowl this year personally. Don't need to see another dumpster fire from the zebras. #34. What a great Patriot that guy is. Way more than one call. The non-calls were egregious. Easily two PI calls that should have been made on the Pats on passes to Lewis. Holding more than a dozen times that I can count on offense. Clearly one sided officiating to me.
  3. What game were you watching exactly? Receiver goes OUT OF BOUNDS and comes back in. NOT eligible receiver and gets a PI call that gives them a touchdown????? That game was beyond terrible in terms of officiating. Holding almost every play. If I can see multiple O-linemen grabbing jerseys, there's holding. Just one penalty for 10 yards for the pats. Jags just get 98 yards worth. Egregiously bad.
  4. Spot on. Only a patriots homer (JerseyBills) would see it otherwise. I have no skin in the game and just wanted to see a good game. Jags deserved to win and the Pats got the game handed to them. Simple as that.j The greatest cheater of all time didn't win the game for them.
  5. Rhymes with lies. It's called "EYES". Simply watching the ridiculousness of the officiating in the game.
  6. Without the refs in their pocket, NE doesn't win this game. Terrible officiating.
  7. Drive extending calls. Free points at the end of the first half. Not a single holding call. Beyond ridiculous. I won't watch the Superbowl. Waste of time.
  8. I wouldn't give up anything for him. The Bills need to develop a franchise signal caller. They don't need another middling journeyman for the next 3-4 years and they certainly don't need to be giving up draft position if they think they do need a veteran for next year. It is absolutely pointless to put any QB on this team that's neither capable of taking you to and helping you win the Superbowl; nor capable of developing into the long term franchise guy. Anything else is circle jerk.
  9. Really? 1 - 24 points per game would make them a top ten offense in the NFL. Are you sure that's "ALL" we need? Why not ask for a top five offense? Let's start with a little chunk of reality. The Bills offense was 22nd in the NFL last year at 18.9 PPG. Asking for a 5 point improvement out of the gates is a LOT to ask for. Would we be as happy with an offense as good as Atlanta, Dallas, or Washington? I think so and they scored only 22.1, 22.1 and 21.4 respectively. 1 - 3rd down completion percentage of 60%. That's only asking for 20% better than the best team in the NFL last year. While you're at it, we just need the best defense in NFL history. Something along the line of the Chicago Bears in 85 or the Steel Curtain of way back when. If you're going to ask for ridiculousness, might was well go all in.
  10. His numbers are skewed by the fact that he didn't get much help. Take away his rushing yards and what do you have? Basically a sub-par passer. 59% this last year was his best completion percentage as a quarterback. Basically the Louisville offense is built around him as an individual player. There's no NFL system that's going to be anything close to that, besides, perhaps, what was being run by Dennison this last year. NFL teams have and will be able to take away the run and make him a pocket passer. That's not a good thing for whomever puts him under center.
  11. Undersized, slow and weak arm. He won't sniff the CFL, much less the NFL.
  12. Trade up for an undersized LB that can't take on big running backs or shed blockers? No thanks.
  13. After we get Bell, we should just sign Drew Brees to be our QB. After that, we'll still have enough cheddar to sign Julio Jones and Antonio Brown to work the outsides. Easy peezy.
  14. If it comes down to just those two, I would take Rudolph all day over Jackson. Jackson concerns me on a number of fronts. First, he's not accurate. 59% at the college level where everything SHOULD be easier than the NFL does not impress me. His slight of frame is somewhat concerning, but he is super athletic. Last and most important is that he doesn't strike me as much of a leader. Right or wrong, I kind of view him as one-man team at Louisville. I wouldn't compare him to Tyrod Taylor, but would compare him to a young Michael Vick. I'm just not sure if I want that.
  15. There's really nothing to discuss on this topic. His salary for 2018 is just over $6 million. The cap hit is $8.6 million because of prorated bonus money. If the bills cut or traded him, they would take a $5.25m cap hit in 2018. So for me, it simply comes down to whether we think he's worth $8.6 - $5.25 million or $3.35 million. More to the point, does anyone believe that we can replace McCoy's production for $3.35 million or less. If not, there's nothing to discuss.
  16. Bridgewater was decent when he played, albeit nothing spectacular. Decent completion percentage. Just an OK touchdown to interception ratio. He takes too many sacks though, holding onto the ball far too long. He's not someone I would want to invest a whole lot into for the future, particularly considering that horrific injury. This team has done too much of the "stop gap". Flutie, Bledsoe, Holcomb, Fitzpatrick, Orton, Taylor. I'm sure there's a few I've missed in that list as well. We can have all of the "why not...." threads that we want. At the end of the day, the franchise needs to draft their guy at some point. This seems like the perfect year to do it.
  17. Six of those teams may be in the market for a QB in the draft, but I wouldn't bet right now that it will be early. Minnesota is likely going to pick one of the three guys they already have, possibly two. Given what Bortles has done in the playoffs, I don't see the Jags drafting one early. Unless Roethlisberger retires or says next year is his last, the Steelers will not show urgency at the postion. Same with the Chargers and Giants. As for the Redskins, they have little choice but to sign or tag Cousins. They have the money to do it, so again, drafting a QB high is stupid. That leaves Cleveland, the Jets, Arizona and Buffalo as being highly likely to be looking for one early. Denver, I'm not sure about yet. All of this STILL doesn't address the other guys that will hit free agency or possibly be traded to fill a role. Pretty crappy article that's not thought out all that well.
  18. I'm not enamored with Jackson's 57% college completion percentage. That's pretty horrible. He is athletic and can run, but so what? So can Tyrod. See what that got us.
  19. If there's a QB out there either in free agency or available through a trade that the front office believes can be "the franchise", they should go out and get him. It doesn't matter if that player is Cousins, Keenum or someone else. The precaution of following this route is that you now have given a huge contract and locked up quite a bit of money for a number of years. In short, the front office has to feel like the guy that they do this with is better than anything that they could do in the draft. I would also want to point out that very few journeymen have become something special with a new team. Lots of caution in this approach. If there isn't one of those guys, then obviously you need to look to the draft. Given where they pick, there's a couple of options for addressing the position. Similar to above, if there's a guy that stands out from the field, you trade up to get him. If there's a guy that fits this description, he's your starter in 2018. I don't care what the position is, you do not trade up in the first round to put a guy on the bench. If there isn't a standout among the field, they sit tight with their two picks, they take best available QB with one of them. Several of the options are pure pocket passers and I would want to have a veteran on the team to mentor. Tyrod can't really be the guy for Rosen, Darnold, Rosen or Rudolph. However, give me a Baker Mayfield or Lamar Jackson, and I would not necessarily be opposed to bringing Taylor back on another 1 year deal. I would make the situation similar to a few years ago and let them all play to be the starter in the preseason. That's just me. I do also want to point out that the Bills have started enough journeymen since their last true franchise QB. The idea of coddling one of these young potential talents seems like a complete waste of time. Put them on the field, see what you have and if necessary draft another one next year. That simple to me.
