  3. It's threads like this that make me wonder why more women don't post on OTW. They'd get a real education

  10. For a fan base that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in a football generation, what else is there to get excited about? Wish we were playing another team - all white for the Jets is uninspired and pretty much what they've worn through much of their history.

  15. Insanity = watching the Bills do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The first year I really paid attention to the Bills was 1968. I was brought up on a losing franchise. But every 5-8 years, they would at least be competitive for the playoffs late in the season. This long stretch of mediocrity, with no late season excitement except for one miserable Steelers loss that i attended, has taken the "sails out of my wind". Also, I think the media oversaturation of the Bills and NFL in general has taken some of the shine off it for me. With that oversaturation comes so many depressing/embarrassing disclosures about the players, it's tough to get excited about them. Free agency has also lessened my loyalty to the players, because in most cases, they turn over so quickly. In the past 15-20 years, they just haven't had many players that are really excellent and have the ability to make game-changing plays. At best we have had a bunch of guys that belong in the Hall Of Very Good. I will say, I just watched the 4th quarter of the second jets game from last year and enjoyed seeing Tyrod again - he and several other guys were pretty fun to watch again. Right after that, I put on the Green Bay game from 2014, and even though the Bills won, it was depressing watching Kyle Orton and some of the other guys that were on that team. They just weren't very good, and it's hard to believe I was excited to see Orton start games - only because EJ was so bad. I turned that Green Bay game off after the first period. Add all that up, and I still enjoy watching them win, but don't have expectations that they will make the playoffs anytime soon. Keep the expectations low, and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!

  17. It's interesting, looking back at some of the AFL players and stats - QB stands out as having stats for top players that, by today's standards, are below pedestrian. Most other offensive stat leaders are pretty comparable to today.
  18. You don't pick a kicker In the first round for the same reason you don't pick an edge rusher with a bum shoulder in the first round - it causes too much dissension on message boards.
  19. Read your history books whippersnapper. The book Rockin the Rockpile is a good place to start
  20. I'm not sure Stratton was even the best player on most of the Bills teams he played on. Cookie was better. I think Saimes was better too. Sestak was better as well. Not sure how they came up with that one, other than the big hit on Lincoln is part of Bills lore.
  21. Glass better win the gold, otherwise it won't be pretty once he gets in front of fans at the Ralph: ""Track fans are very, very, very, very, very, very, positive all the time," Goodwin added. "Very rarely, never, have I heard a track sports fan say, This person sucks, or, We dont want you to train in our city. You know, We dont want this and that. "And a lot of that has to do with a lot of track fans really dont drink alcohol at the events. Nothing against my Bills fans. We serve beer, were going to have some fun."

  23. How is it you are all missing the shoutout to our own YOLO in the article? "For 36-year-old Jennifer Mulford that means quitting her job as a bartender to focus on getting her milk to come in so she can have an adult nursing relationship with her boyfriend. Because YOLO, right?"
