A quick look at the Ticketmaster map shows sporadic blue seats available - I assume these are original tickets being sold by the Bills. There are a lot of resale tickets available, but it looks like at least 90% of the seats have been sold initially.
Plus it’s a holiday weekend, everyone is sick right now and it’s a team that hasn’t been here in ages.
Exactly. He really doesn’t have any that you can point to and say “That’s a HOFer”. I think the reason why Hester got in was all the TDs he scored. Taskers doesn’t have those on his resume. Apparently the voters repeatedly did not value his other resume attributes enough.
Agreed. But it was 25 years ago and many of the voters use today’s stats to compare older players and Tasker’s stats don’t stand out. I think he belongs in the HOF; but so much depends on the presentations being made by representatives and maybe he hasn’t had the most persuasive advocates.
I think this was his last year of regular eligibility. Now he’s left with the gratuitous senior category, for all the guys that fell through the cracks.
I think the thing that hurt Tasker the most was he didn’t score a lot of special teams TDs. The guys that have made it so far had a lot of points (kickers) and TDs (returners). Tasker wasn’t all that well known nationally because of his lack of splash, highlight plays.
He was basically a gunner who also blocked some kicks.
Because great QBs get the credit for game-winning drives. It’s how pro football works.
Brady never had excuses - he just won. Same with Montana. They found ways to win. If Josh is going to be up there with all-time greats like those guys, he’ll have to seal the deal more often than not.
Josh found a way to get a critical game-sealing TD against the Pats. That’s what he has to do when the game is on the line and the Bills need a TD or FG to win it.
I didn’t say he played badly. I stated a fact - in each case, he had the team in position to win the game at the very end and failed to complete the drives with TDs. You can “if and but” all you want, but the fact is Josh will need to make more of those plays at the end of games to achieve greatness.
