  1. I’m not “you guys”. And I’m not saying Josh is not successful and effective. I’m saying it’s not sustainable and that our line and RBs don’t instill confidence in their ability to take the load off Josh to save him from excessive risk.
  2. The o-line is showing signs of life. I just don’t trust them to get tough yards when they need to run for them in short yardage or red zone. Maybe I’ll have more confidence if they put up 150-200 yards on the Jets. Trubisky - the issue there is he can’t escape the rush and make spontaneous throws like Josh can. Running isn’t the issue with Trubisky - he won’t be able to hide the o-line’s weaknesses the way Josh can. Trubisky seems to be a pretty good runner actually. He just doesn’t have the improvisation skills Josh has and which make this offense go.
  3. Singletary averages less than 50 yards per game. When the Bills need to run it in the red zone or on 3rd and short, they were not successful most of the year. They are improving recently and the performance against Atlanta in the red zone and at the end of the game was encouraging. But having your QB be very nearly your leading rusher is not sustainable. It means he is taking an exponentially greater number of hits every game and the risk is the team is likely not going to be competitive offensively if he goes down. Trubisky is just not capable of doing the things Josh does to extend drives. At this point in the season, they have no choice but to keep riding Josh’s arm and legs, but they need a RB with a better skill set than Singletary if they are going to conserve Josh for the long haul. The line is performing better of late and that too is encouraging.
  4. I read that article today and thought it was overly generous to Josh. I believe Josh would say the same thing about it. Every QB has their days - the Bills beat Green Bay when Rodgers had some picks, but Josh was all over the place Sunday. Hopefully he’ll go back to taking those check downs and play it a little safer in the playoffs. Cannot afford TOs in the playoffs.
  5. Not very. The run defense is not consistent, nor is the run game. Josh was the most dependable aspect of the team until Sunday. The whole team just seems to be on the edge this year - you can almost tell from the first series on O and D how the game is going to go. I’m not sure they can string together three excellent games in all three phases to make the Super Bowl. To do so, they are going to need the other team to help by playing a subpar game.
  6. The cap is going up significantly over the next few years. Keep Diggs happy and paid.
  7. If he plays great on the road, I’m all for that!
  8. So you’re saying a downtown dome then? 🤪
  9. My bookie Vito told me “take it or leave it, punk”
  10. The true test will be whether they can run the ball against a really good d-line. The game in New England showed signs of being able to do that, but it will need to be more consistent and dependable in the playoffs.
  11. The Bills went from never having a QB get a 300-yard game to never having a RB get a 100-yard game.
  12. That’s less about weather and more about the quality of QBs that have played here. Wentz is at the top of that sorry list.
  13. Dungy is 66 and has a cushy job that pays well. Not really seeing the upside for him unless he is sick of TV and wants to get back in the grind.
  14. It’s crazy the way you cringe when a QB gets tackled, but never give a thought to the constant pounding a RB takes with every carry. I understand their bodies are different, and RBs know how to take a hit, but watching Allen get hit gives me so much appreciation for the punishment that RBs are able to withstand.
  15. Vegas had it as a toss up between “slim” and “none”. 🤣
  16. Good lord! How will beat any of these teams without a dome??
  17. Well, it was a retrofit and has to withstand hurricanes, which I’m sure added to the cost.
  18. I wonder if the new stadium will be similar to Hard Rock Stadium. Didn’t they figure a way to cover most of the seats?
  19. You are doing a great job. I just like to make meaningless posts that contribute nothing. It’s my forte.
  20. I just want to jump in here and say I have no idea what the hell y’all are talking about.
  21. During this broadcast, Madden was very complimentary about Buffalo’s fans and the collegiate atmosphere at the games. He takes about the food and the campers coming in on Fridays. Wish they had video of people jumping through tables. Madden: “And look at this guy on the roof of the bus! He takes a swig of beer and BOOM! jumps right through that table there. That’s good technique there. You need good technique to make it through those tables!”
  22. I wonder if the league arranged the schedule so that there would be as few “dead” matchups, where the outcome doesn’t matter. That might be why so many 4:25 games have influence over each other in the standings.
  23. If you want to hear John Madden calling the Bills win against the Cowboys in 1996, here you go. Todd Collins replaced Kelly, who injured his hamstring in practice that week. Some classic Maddenisms “beef on wiki”
  24. Maybe one of the INTs happened on 3rd down?
  25. Apparently you don’t know who the f@$& Josh Allen is!
