  1. Hands free devices are just as dangerous. It's the amount of attention being paid to a remote conversation that distracts a driver's focus from driving.
  2. But not smart enough to know it's dangerous to talk on a cell phone while driving???
  3. Stupefying!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMyiVITXeAs
  4. Sportsbooks have us as underdogs in ALL THREE games. http://sports.willia...d-Cup-2014.html And only a 1/7 chance of advancing http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/betting/e/5321141/World-Cup-2014---USA-Team-Markets.html
  5. Huh? Why doesn't the Ivory Coast exist? Section 3) discusses how the draw was done this year http://soccer.si.com/2013/12/02/rethinking-world-cup-draw-seeding/ My recollection was that we were better at ball control and passing in both 2006 and 2010. So we were the more "skilled" team. However Ghana was faster and taller. They killed us in the aerial game and on speed to open balls, deflections, etc.
  6. So what happens if a receiver catches a ball, gets one foot down and his second foot kicks the pylon off its' mooring then lands over the boundry line but in the footprint of the pylon (on top of the mooring)?
  7. Here's the text: Rule 11 Scoring Section 2 Touchdown Article 1 Touchdown Plays. A touchdown is scored when: © a ball in player possession touches the pylon, provided that, after contact by an opponent, no part of the player’s body, except his hands or feet, struck the ground before the ball touched the pylon Now - pylons are square and are placed outside the boundary lines. So today's play where EJ hit the front face of the pylon with the nose of the ball would mean the ball is out of bounds according to the laws of geometry, right?
  8. Not a fan of when they add allspice, nutmeg, cloves, fruit, whatever else. I mostly adhere to the Reinheitsgebot. Locally I've seen some Abita, Steven's Point and Pyramid brews at the corner Consumers. Haven't tried any of their holiday releases though.
  9. I have been there probably 10-12 times. Most of the time for the sausage roll in the morning. Twice for lunch. They're great fresh. Not sure about frozen.
  10. So many good places. Where are you staying? We can tailor our suggestions to close to your hotel.
  11. Fantastic beer. And great for tailgating since they come in a can.
  12. The host team tends to chose non-conference opponents (7 of 9) times. So it's not likely that Oakland or Jacksonville would choose to face Buffalo in London.
  13. Estimating 4 more points necessary to automatically qualify. 3rd place was 17pts in 2002, 16pts in 2006 and 16pts in 2010.
  14. About the same. I took a 7-series up to nearly 200 km/h on the Autobahn but dropped back down fairly quickly. It was somewhat unnerving. Usually traveled the open sections @140 km/h (@85 mph).

  16. Absinthe at the Old Absinthe House Sazerac at the Napoleon House Antoine's for a Cafe Brulot after dark Erin Rose for a frozen Irish Coffee (a favorite) Deannie's Seafood on Iberville/Dauphine for Barbecue Shrimp And there's an interesting beer tap water fountain at the Bulldog
  17. I do love that Guatemala was eliminated http://aol.sportingnews.com/soccer/story/2012-06-11/us-mens-national-team-guatemala-world-cup-qualifying-match-tv-television
  18. Another qualifier tonight. (On BeIN sports?????) With USA, Guatemala & Jamaica all at 7 points, Group A is going to come down to the last game (Oct 16) no matter what happens tonight. But a win tonight helps us to control our own destiny.
  19. He got stomped by Colsaerts on Friday afternoon. And didn't accomplish a thing Saturday afternoon. No criticism can be overblown when the #2 ranked player in the world comes away with 0.5pts out of 4 matches.
  20. Let me spend my life in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo Sugar Land
