  1. I seem to recall some talk that Marshawn was a Ralph Wilson selection back in that draft, as well as that 4th round RB (Fresno State) we took the same year. Of course, there is always post-draft talk, and no one really knows who was behind a particular selection, but I wonder if there is any truth to that talk.
  2. Another side effect of this is that C.J. Spiller is very unlikely to re-enlist with a team which grossly misuses his talents. Can you imagine what CJ could do with good coaching/play calling??? Good lord. Someone in the front office should consider that aspect of the Bills' "near future".
  3. Will he be allowed to use a gun while filling the MLB slot? That might be what Sheppard needs to stop RBs in the hole.
  4. That is what we all thought, but didn't something come out recently (something Nix said?) to contradict this 3-year deal thing? Maybe they signed a secret extension, you know, so no other team can steal Chan away from us...
  5. Yeah, that's some kind of coincidence, eh? It was probably a concerted effort to bottom out like that. Very smart management. You have to make it look accidental, though.
  6. Suh also pulled Schaub down with a horse collar which was not called. When Forsett got up and ran for that odd touchdown, I thought that was justice being done (karma, at least) for Suh's 2 dirty plays. I was very happy to see the Texans win that game.
  7. If our Bills clowns could not even get to bed at midnight or whatever (staying out all night instead), they were very likely trash talking, too. And old Marv "treating them like men" (letting them stay out all night, etc) did not work so well - four years in a row. At some point, those Bills and their Harvard-educated coach are just acting stupid. Party til you puke! Oh, there's a game tomorrow???
  8. I want a QB in round 1. All good ones will be gone by the 2nd round. Take LBs in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds!!!
  9. I would hire Wade as HC, but Ralph has burned that bridge.
  10. Hey, if Ralph does not know him personally, there is no chance he could be hired.
  11. I don't know. Can Mario be charged with Grand Larceny??? Any legal experts out there?
  12. There was an incident where Ralph's daughter (Linda Bogdan, IIRC) was working as a scout (I think), and at some point Polian referred to her with the B-word (or was it the C-word?). I recall that as a breaking point between Wilson and Polian. You can probably look this up somewhere for more detail.
  13. Thanks for doing that homework! I am tired of 3rd rate QBs who "might" develop. Throw some coins in the fountain and wish! I am in favor of trading up for one of the top 2 or 3 QBs. No more farting around at QB, please.
  14. Well, he did attend Troy University... And, here is a link: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=WHAT%20THE%20LICK%20READ WHAT THE LICK READ 341 up, 106 down "how are ya doing" a salutation calvin ax me what the lick read this morning and i said "what"?
  15. Well, any coaching candidate has to be someone Ralph already knows, so that might work with Haslett.
  16. Of course, but folks did not know Wannstedt would bring his 1980s thinking with him! We expected the guy to be current with defensive football of the 21st century. Fans know nothing. Unfortunately, our head coach seems to know nothing about defense.
  17. And two coaches that are not afraid to show some f*&king emotion! Get fired up, dammit!
  18. This is from a Buffalo News article back in May: "Signing with the Bills was more special to me, beyond football, because my kicking coach, Greg Cater, punted here," Powell said, referring to the Bills' punter from 1980 to 1983. "So I've always talked about the Bills. I have a Bills Greg Cater jersey. He told me if I made all-state in high school, he'd give me one of his jerseys, so I have one. It was just weird when I got the call from the Bills. It's like full circle." Cater now works as a pastor in Rome, Ga. But he has been working with Powell since he was 16 on his punting mechanics. "From the first time I worked with him it was obvious he was special," Cater said. "I remember the first time I let him tee the ball up and kick off for me at Darlington [high school]. There's a row of evergreens behind the end zone. He nailed that thing over the evergreens. I said, 'You've got the leg strength. All we need to do is point you in the right direction.'" PS: I wish TSW posters would stop confusing Potter and Powell. It's not that difficult to figure out...
  19. Can Bowe catch a ball with his feet or his knees? If so, he might just be the guy the Bills need...
  20. I see that John Potter is no longer kicking balls through the end zone. Indoors, so it's not the wind. I'd be willing to bet Shawn Powell can do that kickoff job as well as Potter. So there is my vote for the roster spot for Brooks.
  21. Some poster had remarked "poor Johnny White". Yeah, the poor guy may have to play into February, while his ex-Bill buddies will be vacationing by then... Good luck, Johnny!
  22. You got it, Bud! I used to be a Chan fan, but he has lost my admiration. Fitz has regressed, and I wonder if the David Lee mechanics course has confused his Harvard brain. His arm has always been a weak point, but I thought fixing his mechanics would help. He has become a less accurate, weaker-armed QB since lat year.
  23. Did you actually post this today (Sunday) at 8:37PM? Are you looking for somewhere to watch the end of the Texans-Packers game? WTF? Is the timestamp wrong?
