  1. Why plead guilty? Take this thing to court, get 3 or 4 continuances, and go to court after the season. I hate drunk driving like the rest of you..but re refused the breathalyser(which is smart)...i bet over half of people who refuse to take the test later are found not guilty...and that's just a guess. 20, i know either the NFL or the NFLPA for sure used to do this. But none of the players would use it cause they felt like somehow their coaches/GMs would find out and would hurt them in contract talks. Not sure if they still do...but they tried!
  2. UBER is a new way of looking at the economy...and the economy and the old line industries are going to have to adjust. The so called "sharing" economy is real...as is the coming trend of "gig" jobs. I am by far not a hipster...but oh how i love getting in a well-maintained and clean car as opposed to chit holes that most cabbies drive. And oh my, air conditioning actually is standard on most cars nowadays, and it works. And I also love paying less and getting air conditioning! How great it is being able to call an Uber to my house and them being htere in 2 minutes as opposed to schlepping down the street. I also love not get a nasty ass look and sigh when i want to pay with a credit card...ohh the horror of not paying cash in a mostly cashless economy. I agree should be a fair compete...but cabs brought this on themselves when they were a monopoly...competition brings out the best in everyone.
  3. I use Lyft and Uber quite a bit, but lean more towards Lyft. Lyft generally seems to get there quicker. Most drivers work for both, prefer to pick up Lyft rides as they keep 80% of fare as opposed to 75% with Uber. Uber was always a no tip service, but a recent lawsuit regarding employment status of drivers..1099 or W-2, brought about a slight change. Uber now allows its drivers to post a sign encouraging tips, but those tips must be paid in cash and not through the app.Uber will not change the app to accommodate tips. Lyft has always had tips built into the app, the option appears once you get your invoice. I have always tipped, so find this also more attractive and why i prefer Lyft. Would be intersted if anyone had used the UberPool or Lyft Line service yet. I have not, but think i will next time by myself and not in a hurry to get anywhere.
  4. 4 prime please. 3 will be there when lot opens, 1 arriving around 3 PM i believe.
  5. NY State has maintained that ride share drivers carry the same insurance limits as commercial cab drivers. Uber has maintained that is not a profitable model for them outside of NYC, so they do not operate outside of the City
  6. Thanks guys for this...i did not know there was a Vice channel. My son and i like the show on HBO. just found it on DTV at #271.
  7. New HeatGear socks first time you wear them ...man do they feel great.
  8. Richmond:..Just how easy everything is. No traffic, no crowds, great restaurants that always have openings, hour to beach, hour to mountains, never a problem getting a tee time....everything is just freaking easy. DC..Once we get to our place, never use a car again till we leave...and something cool and fun to do all the time.Never bored
  9. gents, just do not click on the BN website...it really is that easy. WWIP, i believe the Writers Guild is strong at the BN, believe that is why Sully, Gleason, and even Esmonde still have gigs. Need some fresh talent over there. it is very stale and the for guys like us that read the news everyday,we don't need to actually read the columns , we know what they will say just based on the byline.Same column as they wrote in 2004...
  10. I will absolutely be in Hammers Lot, and look forward to meeting all of you. But l we have a rather large crew of 25 coming to the tailgate this year so hopefully we can have an area right next to main TBD tailgate. Plan on getting being there just as early as the good Mr. Hammer will open his fine lot to us knuckleheads. My plan as of now is to do a massive seafood boil. While i can't afford to buy seafood for the entire TBD crew, anyone would sure be welcome to throw in whatever seafood they want into the boil. I will have plenty of corn, potatos, sausage to share for all ! Can't wait!
  11. agree with K-9...actually she is a better face to the franchises than Terry. I assume you ask due to gender....no better, no worse in my mind.
  12. I dont know the ins and out of the Revis contract, but think i heard that is like a $17M cap hit this year. Again, don't know the actual salary part of that, but covert to bonus and instant cap savings. Which is fine by me...i think you will see a massive drop off in play from him this year...and they will be stuck with him for quite a while. edit..the $17M is all guaranteed salary...so they can get $5M just converting $15M to a bonus.
  13. Wow, porno theatres. So its been 24 years since porn has been on the internet?
  14. My problem with him koolaid is it repeatably involves violence against women. Going out to a bar and getting in a fight, missing the occasional practice..stupid social media posts..i get all those.Don't like it, but understand it. But three separate instances and accusations , the first two admittedly never proven , make me pause on this guy. The old saying 1st time good on you, second time bad on me, 3rd-time arsehole me comes to mind. What if they keep this guy and a 4th time occurs? On the flip side of my argument, is this from a Vancouver reporter. http://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/kanes-stock-would-rise-if-he-follows-kassians-behavioural-health-steps
  15. Turn gets a 4th and final season. Mentions what we all saw, the last half of last season was great. http://deadline.com/2016/07/turn-renewed-season-4-final-season-amc-1201792881/
  16. those little super fast convection/microwave ovens have made a big difference. To be clear, i am not saying this sub was as good as a good local sub shop or a Penn Station sub, but for $3.50 and ready in less than a minute, great food in a pinch.
  17. This may not be of help up front, but god idea to ask the seller to provide before you make an offer on any property. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/insurance/clue-report.aspx
  18. Good question, and i don't know the answer. This site may help a bit. https://hometrackr.com/ Really not all that accurate on my house, has some of the work done, but not any of the insurance claims...which is really important. Maybe google carfax for homes and search the results..i know about 3 years ago i read where the insurance claims on homes would be available just like carfax..but could not find after 20 seconds search. BTW, my hunch is a neighborhood where most of the kitchens/baths have been redone but this one has not..or some sort of water damage etc.
  19. Kay Stephenson, breaking camp before the first of back to bak 2-14 seasons.. "There's no question that this has been the most intense camp I've ever been associated with,' " we think changing the helmet from white to red will help Joe reduce his interceptions, as all the other helmets in the division are white. We believe this will lead to more wins" Thurman Thomas TV interview 1989: Interviewer: Whats the weakest position on the team? Thurman: "Quarterback!
  20. Was thinking as a diverse Bills fans community, we could put together a great Bills Game guide that could be pinned on this site. Thought about this as thread on main site asked about hotels for game day...then Rubes great document came to mind http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/187117-the-ultimate-classic-buffalo-must-eat-food-guide/ What if we did this as a service for the board. I have been going to games for 40 years, prolly still things i could learn from this group. We could have sections like these with pros:cons and best guess prices spelled out : Hotels Transportation to/from game including best routes for driving Tailgating lots Sabre Game Facts Other things to do/see in Buffalo on a Bills weekend. I am guessing we could do this on a shared google doc and have it as a living breathing resource, but not sure how to do that and how to get started. Ideas anyone?
  21. wife and i went 5 guys on Sunday. We each get the little cheeseburger( i don't like the two patties) a soda and a small fry to share. $18. Not horrible, and we left about half the fries. Was plenty of food for the two of us. long story, but had to grab food at 7-11 the other day. That mini Italian sub they heat up did not suck..better than Subway for sure...and was $3.50 and ready in like 30 seconds. Would eat again in a pinch
  22. Well, strictly from a legal standpoint extremely smart of him to not take the breathalyser.(sp) He was polite, contrite, etc...i
  23. Couple of points here on transportation to/ from game. 1) Designated Driver Service is great. You can drive your car to the stadium, tailgate with your supplies etc. Your car also goes home with you, as they show up with two drivers in the car, one drives your car home.Downside is I am guessing fro a night game will be north of $200. We did after a Pats game while back, to a downtown hotel..was $160. 2) Car Services..i think this may also be very pricey. You are talking about driver getting to the designated meeting space at least 45 minutes before game ends due to trafiic..then being stuck in traffic getting out of game.My guess is would be at least $100 for this service, most likely more. Also don't have your car to tailgate. 3) I have had friends leave games in middle 3rd, early 4thto catch flights and take cabs to airport from stadium..no problems. Have no experience after games, and wonder how night game will play into availability? Less cabs as a pain in da ass? More cause be more drunks needing rides? 3) To the AirBnB suggestion.. i have looked up for Bills game, nothing walkable to the Stadium i could find. But if one pops up, great suggestion. Have stayed AIRBNB about 5 times, always been a good experience.
  24. I thought they would murder Buffalo as well. Happy when the didn't Showed a snow game at the Ralph while the dude was going through Buffalo. Think they may have also said something to the effect "the owner got money" but i may be wrong.
