Hope that place is good too, such a beautiful place.

  4. 11:30 on Sunday..but if you want to actually see it..be there by 11:15.
  5. hers is everything you need to know about Hammers https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F9yhWkCZkeTFX_6yagiiwCPu-JUnhBAxuPILxW8U438/edit
  6. @Dante you planning the parade now ??? Who are those guys Dante...your take appreciated!
  7. will continue until Snyder either sells the team or passes on..and he is kinda young! He took over for the mosted hated owner by a fan base when Wertz died in Chicago. The whole Redskins game experience is the antithesis of going to a Bills game..people are angry there. They don't want to be to give Snyder money, but they love their team..makes em even angrier when the Skins are losing. And getting in and out of that place is just insane even on Sunday..night games are just about impossible. BTW, the Bills are not sold for Sunday either.
  8. Thx, I just bought a small gas one. Not ideal, but will get the job done on game days!
  9. Agree 100% entitlements hurt the very people they are designed to help...problem is until you change them they still need to fund. I am all for tax cuts..trust me I probably pay as much or more of a percentage of our family income than 98% of Americans. Has always pissed me off, but that is another discussion. The problem here is if you are going to cut taxes, there needs to be a corresponding cut in expenditures. And unfortunately, the Republican crew we have in office now does not have the stones to make the corresponding cuts.
  10. that's the problem with these storms..while I am happy it is going to miss Richmond, I have relatives that have houses on Wrightsville beach, relatives in New Bern, relatives in Charleston...someone getting hit and hit hard,,wish the damn thing would just take a hard right and miss us all

  12. I have a pair, but section 335..row 4..great seats..best thing is you get to sit next to me and @Augie
  13. Hi all, will post elsewhere as well..but the guy who has seasons with me just found out he cannot attend. anybody need a pair of tickets..let me know 335, Row 4..$130/ticket
  14. agreed..all good points. However, i do think that this particular round of stock buybacks and increased EPS are a direct reflection of the tax cuts, and are just not sustainable from of growth and rising EPS
  15. i think the idea is that somehow we as a nation have to pay for all the things the federal government funds..the military, entitlements etc. To do that, the country needs to raise revenue somehow, plain and simple. For the last 100 years, that's been through income taxes...and there is no arguing that corporations and the rich saw the biggest reductions in tax burdens with the latest tax bill. not quite sure what that has to do in a thread about the economy and in specific about deficits recently. I agree 100% with your statment..but the reality is today we have entitlements that need to need to be funded somehow..and right now that is through tax revenues..and increasingly under this administration through deficits. Stock buybacks are real simple equation..most C level execs have bonus payouts and LTIPs(long-term incentive programs) related to EPS. Buying back stock reduces float, therefore increasing EPS without really growing the business, or inflating growth...increasing comp to upper management, and especially C level.Problemis that growth is not sustainable. Just so's we clear..Republicans control the House and Senate now correct? This is concerning...https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/government-borrowing-soars-despite-robust-economy/2018/09/11/09a85554-b5eb-11e8-a7b5-adaaa5b2a57f_story.html?utm_term=.e4d6a72600ca This money does need to be paid back at some point..and the money needs to come from somewhere...for all of you that pro-Trump and pro-Repunlican...pre Trump did you not think bigger government and large deficits were bad? When did conservatives and the Republicans move to the deficit loving party.
  16. yea baby...missing Richmond completely now! Course we have school systems that are off starting today..and every school system is closed Friday..wonder if they reverse course now and open on Friday
  17. Hey quick question...anyone have a smoker they are bringing than has room for a couple chuck roasts? I have some sous vide chuck would like to throw on smoke for about 3 hours and make sammys, but I don't have a small smoker Looking more and more positive for me being there on Sunday..prolly 60/40 now.
  18. did someone take the bait? Andddd..there it is!!! My hot take is someone will fall Fergy's dad jokes at least once a day
  19. the only thing I will say was I had this same sinking feeling last year when we scored 3 points against the Panthers, and then Watkins and Woddy went off on a Thursday night game. Just that sinking feeling of "why does this always happen to the Bills" have that feeling right now. Playoff game was fun though...
  20. we know where you are sleeping..Augie is fretting all week about what he is going to wear on Saturday night! BTW, if this storm hit Richmond I am not gunna be happy..can't leave if it does
  21. thx for this..i dont track NCAA as much..as you know just love that first week FCS action!!! Could be..I dont care if they have 100 tickets and on team and 30 on the other..i care about how much money is wagered...tracking # of tickets..WTF cares?
  22. I think we are reading different articles LOL.No worries. Maybe these quotes sum it up best Books make their money gambling against the public...not on vigs alone. They don't want 50/50 action, they want 75% action on one team ..they look at "squares" ( you and I) and say they will lose more than they win..and they take advantage of that. Another good example of that was the Pats-Atlanta Superbowl. The public was hammering the Pats..but the books would not budge that line from 3 to 3 1/2 cause they knew that half point hook would garner them an avalanche of sharp money on Atlanta...and they thought they had a winner already betting against the Pats..and that sure as hell looked good! Man, I got crushed on that bet as well..playing you guessed it the money line on Atlanta!!!!! Also, I agree with your analysis on the takeout at the track. I used to play the horses pretty hard..but back in the day when a trifecta on a race was a big deal..amazes me that tracks get higher handle when they reduce takeout, but they refuse to do so cause it hurts em in the short run. Now I play for fun and play numbers and names as much as I handicap..
