  1. Tough to watch a hockey game in a headrest tv on a plane, but something bettern than nothing!
  2. How pissed do you think the NHL is today with the maters stuff? They have a nooner, then nothing in the afternoon, I am sure cause they did not want to compete with the final round of the masters.
  3. @JohnC , you should follow this series on Diebytheblade on lower-priced FAs that could be a good fit for the Sabres. Chad is a really good advanced stat guy..he was really the first one breaking down how bad Housley was at player utilization. Think most Sabre fans will enjoy this series..certainly going to highlight guys I am not aware of. https://www.diebytheblade.com/2019/4/14/18309144/buffalo-sabres-jordan-weal-could-be-an-under-the-radar-signing-this-summer-free-agent
  4. it is the one sport i absolutely say is better on TV. Was at the 99 OPen for the weekend at Pinehurst. Miserable weekend 1) No goal game was Saturday..had to hear my MIL all day Saturday say she could not understand why I was leaving the US OPen early to go watch some silly hockey game on TV 2) Sunday was cold as balls, did not have right clothing, too cheap to pay $200 for a US OPen jacket, they did not start serving beer till noon, and then unexpectedly stopped serving at 5.00PM with a good ninity minutes still left to go!!!! Could not see what the leaders were doing..parked on the 17th hole..saw Payne and Phil play 17th..crowd so big watched Payne's famous putt on some makeshift projected screen 100 yards away from the green. The whole day sucked. 3) Now the Masters screwing my whole day all up. Have a fresh ham smoking, lots of people coming over to watch Sunday afternoon golf on the porch...a little lightening strike never hurt anyone, at least not enough to ruin my plans!
  5. i hear people say that all the time..but I think the playoffs are just a different game across the board. No team looks like they did in the regular season, so think it is tough to compare regular season play. hey Bill fan 4, I know nothing of that guy but keep hearing he would be next coach of Leafs if Babcock goes away. Why is he not under consideration for the Sabres?
  6. Guess pickling works? Happy B Day Jim
  7. Rodney Scott BBQ if doable.
  8. I think you can have a core of 4..Jack, Rasmus, Sam, Duchene/Point. I think Skinner is out of here...if he wanted to stay he would be signed by now. I get Stamkos did the same thing and re-signed...just something about the way this whole year went and Skinner not signing soon after the deadline when the 8 years could kick in. Hope I am wrong. In terms of 4 key guys...Leafs are going to be paying 4 guys..Matthews, Tavares, Nylander, and Marner...Chicago did it with Kane, Toews, Seabrook and Keith..Penquins are Syd, Malkin, Kessel, Latang...seems to me it is a doable thing. And in terms of the draft picks...just do not see them as valuable in the NHL if they are past the top 3-5 picks. Guys on GR made the point today Pens have had like 5 guys from the last 7drafts see the NHL...
  9. I dont want him either, but part of that equation is playcalling and defensive fronts faced. Jags tend to be more varied when he was not in, throwing more on first and second downs..teams know this and htrew 8 man fronts at him more than any other back in the NFL. Having said that, still don't want him
  10. I have used more than a few porta potties on runs... hmm, executive washroom @Hammered a Lot , must say I have not been given access. But I do have one in the stadium that is practically set aside for my personal use.
  11. i listened to GR in the car this morning, they were talking speculation possibly a trade for Beudreau. That would be interesting. I know him better than McClennan, so i like him better. Pretty poor reason for liking him I admit, but still. They were also talking about this list of RFAs coming up..holy mol;y is there a ton of talent there. https://www.nhl.com/news/2019-fantasy-hockey-rfa-preview-list/c-299419564 Would you rather have Duchene at $12 per, age 29 -36 or Point at $11per, give up 4 firsts, age 24-31. I want Point!!!!!
  12. DeChambeau a tough guy to read. Have not loved him, but his post-round interview yesterday was hilarious, very self-deprecating. He grew a little in my eyes. And lord was Nantz ever going to bat for Brooks. He sounded pisssed at all the gold media guys for not giving Brooks his due cause he a little standoffish with the media.
  13. well..i woul dprefer it be two huge cities, get the ratings up, and get some better coverage of the sport overall
  14. some quotes from last year Yards based on volume, not effectiveness. Granted, teams stacked the box like crazy and he faced more 8 man fronts than other back on a percentge of carries basis..I just don't see him as an upgrade.
  15. I just don't see that. I think, but I could be mistaken, Jags running game and offense overall has proven to be more successful when he is OUT, not featured.
  16. in Vegas for business on Tuesday, will head to the arena to see if i can get a single for around $100.
  17. biggest thing they factor in is TV matchups...competitive balance matters very little to them. Witness Bills with 2 home games in the first 7 last year.
  18. That all makes sense, but being one who enjoys a beverage or two at the tailgate as well as at the game, the aisle gives me way more control and comfort as to when I head to the head etc. I tend to be one who likes to visit the head when others dont..so maybe third and long I get the vestibule, watch the play from there. if .not converted rush to the restroom and back in my seat almost always before the first down play. Yes, i do run the risk of not seeing something on the punt..but i will take that risk to not miss any other plays. Most people tend to leave at TV timeouts and qtr and haltime..so standing and letting them go then no worries. Plus, if on the aisle you just step out into the aisle..easy peezy!
  19. they should be able to go into account manager and see what is still available. Having said that, i would recommend calling their ticket rep as sometimes i am not so sure that thing online is always updated to the minute.
  20. so watching the Tampa game...rather have McDavid and lose the other assets, or offer Point and give up the 4 firsts? I like the offer Point route
  21. So in other words, a sissy!
  22. these cost more than the upper deck...i am gonna miss my upper deck, now I have to associate with cretins like @JÂy RÛßeÒ and @Mr Info Nah..start em early. My sons first tailgate at Hammers was when he was 10, the Pats win in 11. He has grown to be a very responsible drunk now..all good training!
