Marcellus Wiley - 10 sacks in last 41 games
nodnarb replied to todd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the ONLY player worthy of his contract that Donahe has let go...the ONLY player...was Ted Washington. Most of those 2000 Bills had ridiculous contracts and never amounted to anything afterwards. Peerless Price is a #2 at best and not tough enough mentally or physically. He had 8 good games and was rarely a factor beyond that. Donahoe got this team Willis McGahee in exchange for the 8 game performance of Peerless. Donahoe and his staff have done a tremendous job, and we're only NOW beginning to see the fruit of their labors... You want to see teams that have real problems? Look no further than Miami, Cleveland, 9ers, Raiders, SKins, Chicago, New Orleans, and Az. THOSE are teams with problems. We should feel lucky that the Bills franchise is in good hands, cuz it is. We will always be contenders, folks. And that's all you can ask for. -
The cardinals had a real shot at beating the Jets last week, but they literally gave it away when sean king threw one of the dumbest passes you'll ever see. Why was he starting that game? Green is trying to show the football world that he's only losing cuz he doesn't have an established quarterback. This after he went out of his way to say that his team is a 10 win team and McCown is capable of carrying out his offense. Putz...putz putz... (BTW: I'm going to get pissed at every team that doesn't beat the Jets, Ravens, Jags, and Texans from here on out. WOn't you join me?) F them all!

martz is the least impressive coach in the league, and this includes dennis erickson.
-
sometimes, teams that are out and desperate and the butt of jokes like to get back in the news by hitting hard and causing injury. we've seen it before. hopefully, they just lay down. There's no way the fins can get any offense on us, so all we really have to do is get a couple TDs. But we'll get more. Bills 33 Miami 12 (four FGs)

for those claiming Miami is an easy win...
nodnarb replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no easy wins. but man, i still have a football erection from that game. fins blow. No! no easy wins. but they suck. no easy wins. Down, boy. Down. Think about the 2000 draft...there you go...think about the RJ trade...there you go...down boy... ...ah... -

For those who wanted to see Losman
nodnarb replied to CoachChuckDickerson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what the hell are you talking about? he completed the one pass he was asked to complete and then handed off all day. what are you talking about, you ignoramus.... -
Gotta love that. The Bills are starting to destroy teams. Oh, what they're gonna do to the Fins next week... Anyone else getting a little excited...? I know, they're still only 5-6...but we're starting to see what this team is *going* to be...they're peaking late. Damn those first two flukey games.... BTW: I feel pretty fuggin bad for Travis. Kid went from local hero to vapor overnight. His broken leg means his trade value is REALLY low. He's worth more to us as a backup next year than a 3rd or 2nd round pick, IMO. Who knows, maybe he'll even decide that being Kenneth Davis isn't such a bad thing, and he'll sign an extension. I know, not likely.

The last 5 weeks have proven something important
nodnarb posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not a bust. He only needed the proper instruction, and he has that now with McNally. 3 sacks against in the last 5 games, and watch Mike closely. He's dominating his man. He's playing smart. He was under unqualified tutelage in his first 2 years. We should give him our support, cuz the guy looks like he can be reallyk, really good. And it's no nice to see. -
maybe mularkey makes a bid for hines ward, IF moulds accepts a pay cut in the interest of winning a championship. Moulds, Ward, Evans. Whoo-boy. Likelihood factor: 4/10

Bledsoe 2003 compared to Bledsoe 2004
nodnarb replied to daquixers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
same qb. But these coaches have him playing more efficiently, as the fewer attempts and more TDs indicates. -
i was hoping you meant shawn alexander. damn.

Holy crap - this is worth an off topic
nodnarb replied to daquixers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
zzzzzzzzzzzz -
Daquixer, what did you get on the stanford-binet? i'm constantly amazed by some of the "ideas" i read here. Your "I say..." proposal reflects: 1. a lack of understanding of the Bills organization and the kind of players they consider. 2. a lack of care that, fortunately, we're fans of a team that you can say that about. 3. a lack of awareness that there's a reason SD let him go for peanuts. THE GUY WAS CLEARLY TAKING DESIGNER ROIDS FOR YEARS AND NOW HIS BODY IS AS FRAGILE AS CHINA. He will never, EVER be a factor in the NFL again. He will continue to suffer season ending injuries. Next will be his achilles. 4. He had ONE good season in AZ. He's not all that. He has a bad attitude, a questionable work ethic, and he adds an undesirable element to team chemistry. HIS TEAM MATES HATED HIS GUTS. 5. A lack of awareness that such a trade would be so lopsided that the league would snicker and chortle. How can you not see these things? Come on, man. There's a good reason that you don't work in NFL personnel evaluation and administration. Travis for Boston...OMFG....

every starting RB in the league has that goal.

stupid. stupid. stupid. you'll see how stupid this is. clarett is hardly worth a 4th round pick. the bills are the last organization that would want that kid. How CAN you want him? He's Leon with no stats. He's Leon with nothing. stupid.

This is puzzling that an entire city...

Even those who criticize Drew feel like schitt about it. I've said a zillion times that if there's one guy in all of sports that i wish i could wave a magic wand for, it's Drew. I want him to succeed. I want him to win a SB one day by driving 99 yards in a 2 minute drill to overcome the other team as the final seconds tick off. I want to see him retire on a high note and make his way into the hall of fame. I want all those things. But the reality is, Drew is like the little girl with the curl. when he's good, he's very very good. when he's bad, he's horrid. His lack of consistency since week 9 of 2002 is clear and undeniable. Vs. NE two weeks ago, Drew looked like a guy who had no clue. They were playing their base defense most of the day, with 2 high coverage with 2 undrafted rookies back there. Drew made throws that Ryan Leaf knows you can't make. He stared down moulds all night. He threw off his back foot. He threw swing passes into the dirt. He tossed short outs over the heads of his dump-offs. He looked like a QB that hadn't been coached in years. THen last week at home he throws some beautiful balls and gets 3 TDs for the first time in 2 years. The facts are there, and they're undeniable. He's Jeckyl and Hyde ,and you can't win in the NFL without consistent play at the QB position. Whatever switch is in Drew, I wish I could leave it in the ON position. He'd be my favorite QB. Woudn't want any other guy. Besides, I wasn't at the parade. A bit over the top, IMO. -
good post simon. I too have been wondering about Pat. I think he might be slowing down some, and I think T Anderson was brought in to replace him. I think it's funny that people are writing him off just because he's been inactive. How could a rookie penetrate our DLine rotation? Besides, Krumrie loved the kid, so he's *going* to be good. Trust it. RE: Sam, I think Sam is every bit as huge a FA pickup by donahoe as Spikes. There is NO OTHER DT IN THE LEAGUE that's as fast off the ball. And you're right...watching him use his hands is jaw-dropping. He's an incredible player who has two modes: Good, and Unstoppable. Most teams figured him a good player not worth his "mercenary" money that he demanded. TD knew better. Krumrie knew better. BAM. If he doesn't go to the probowl this year, something's amiss. RE: Edwards, he has one of the strongest side punches you'll ever see. If he swings his right arm into the left shoulder of a guard or center, that guy WILL move to his right and give Ron a lane to the QB. He's done it about 6 times, and got penetration every time. his contract is 650000 this year and 1 mill next. I hope we lock him longer-term http://www.nflpa.org/Members/playerProfile.asp?ID=30145

Were our players throwing cheap shots?
nodnarb replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
putz. the truth of the matter is, mike martz doesn't like hitting in this game. if he had it his way, he would put flags on everyone's waist and disallow any touching by DBs. SCores in his game would be 119-110. safe prediction: mike martz will not be coaching an nfl team in two years. he will continue to bring that franchise down from the heights to which dick vermeil built them. -
I still think this is why Philly let him go...he's such a solid player. But he heals like a hemophiliac.

Dr. Z is joygasmic over the Bills
nodnarb replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's nice, but i think it's too much too soon. to say 'the bills are finding ways to win' sounds like a guy that hasn't followed the team closely enough. I'd be picking the Bills to the playoffs deep...if they hadn't lost those first two winnable games. Those two games are going to haunt us for a long time. Ghosts rattling chains. at 4-6, the only reason we have a slight chance is our remaining schedule, where only seattle and pittsburgh threaten. the ohio teams are beatable, and the 9ers and fins are practically locks. Those two get us to 6-6. If we beat ohio, that's 8-6, and the .500 season is locked ( I think it's guaranteed ). The only real questions remain seattle and pitt. If we beat seattle, there will be cause for talk. But...I stilll believe that the AFC is going to have one 10-6 team that misses the playoffs. With our conference record, it would be us. Wouldn't that just be the worst possible scenario...where Nate's failure to knock that ball down is the reason we're out of it? GOod lord... -
M. Harrison a FA at season's end?
nodnarb replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i doubt it, cuz he'll wanna be paid like the most productive WR over the past 5 years, which I believe he is. if not, it's close. moulds' contract starts to get chunky next year. moulds will need to restructure, and i bet that's what fueled his comments a couple weeks ago. if we're gonna trade travis, which a part of me will always think is a mistake, then how about travis straight up for boldin? Boldin isn't one of "Denny's guys" and they need an experienced RB badly. Our WR coach TOlbert knows Boldin well, and it could be a nice fit. Only question is, what role would he play with Moulds and Evans on the team? -
I Am Going To Ease Off of Mike Williams
nodnarb replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
as i said in another thread, mwilliams took unfair lumps, sometimes even from me, the past two years. you have to remember that he was introduced to the league under coaches who had never coached an NFL line before. They were GW buddies. They hindered his development, particularly in the mental aspects of the game. this is all changing and we're seeing it unfold before our eyes. mcnally's effects would take a while...we knew that coming into the season...but we're seeing them now. THe pass blocking has been SO MUCH FUGGIN BETTER, it's unreal. Teams aren't blitzing us constantly anymore. They're watching the tape and they see we're picking it up. -
Vikings not all that impressed with McKinnie
nodnarb replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i was never on the "we should have drafted mckinnie" train. i never understood that, considering the guy held out for 7 games and has always had worse line stats than big Mike. Remember, guys. Big Mike was brought into this league with GW's buddies, who had never coached in teh NFL. We're now beginning to see what Mike can do under mcnally. We haven't seen his potential yet. He's playing really, really well for us. -
reminds me of the funniest expression for big boobs: a dead heat in a zeppelin race.
