  1. not bad, but that site isn't as funny as it wants to be.
  2. i suck in ffl. May I help you?
  3. MM said he's going to go with Drew next week because there are 7 games left and we're not out of it yet. What? We'd have to win out AND get VERY lucky with other teams W/L record. We will not win any 10-6 AFC tiebreaker. The only way the Bills can make the playoffs is if we win out AND there's only one other 10-6 wildcard and the next best are a slew of 9-7 teams. How likely is that? Not very. Not the way these games have been coached (punting on the pats 35 after the only decent drive...what kind of message is that? I thought this team was confident...?) and not with Drew at the helm. the problem is this twisted loyalty to Bledsoe. Other teams must be saying to themselves, 'what the hell are they doing?' The league has shown time and again that journeymen quarterbacks can get it done. Guys that don't give games away like Drew did in Baltimore and Foxboro. Matthews gives the Bills the best chance to win because he's not going to throw into triple coverage. He's not going to lock onto one receiver all day. He's not going to stare down the pass rush and bend over while they take him down slowly (the typical bledsoe sack). The twisted logic in MM's decision is this: If the Bills beat the Rams, no matter how Drew plays, it'll be ammunition for starting him the following week, which prolongs the inevitable. If they lose one more game, we're out no matter what. What MM is essentially saying is, "we're going to go with the guy who can't execute a swing pass and is clearly at the end of his rope until we're officially out of it." Then we'll go with a guy who just might spark this offense. Why not just SEE what Shane can do? If he stinks, which I doubt he would, pull him and put in Bledsoe if you have to. If JP isn't ready because of his missed time, start Shane. By the way...I really like MM, but lately that like has been wittled away. His gameday coaching has been too conservative for a team ostensibly built with playmakers. His preoposterous punts are Gregg Williams all over again. The continued belief that Drew can get it done is making it hard for me to distinguish him from Gregg Williams and Kevin Gilbride. They have said that Drew has played a big role in our 3 wins. Well, yes and no. Look at the numbers from those games and they're all pedestrian, QB stat wise. He was able to make a few plays, but he also *missed a ton of others*. Any other QB would have come away with wins in those games because our defense and ST played a bigger role than Drew did. Besides ST, what's better this year over last? Our rushing stats are WAAAYY down. Our passing stats are WAAAAAAAAAAY down. This team would get crushed by the Bills of last season. He hasn't shown me anything, and I desperately want him to show me something so that I can fuel my liking and optimism for this coach. But my tank is running near empty. Can't post another word until the Rams game is over. Please, God. Please let JP be a good one. Western new york football needs a new hero. Badly. Rams 23 Bills 16
  4. you're just being silly, right? you're not this stupid, right? did you watch the game? it was obvious that belichick's plan was to shut down mcgahee with 8 in run support, and force drew to beat them, which he knew was impossible. the problem with this offense is drew bledsoe. the problem with this offense HAS BEEN drew bledsoe, pun intended. The problem with this offense next week will be drew bledsoe. Bledsoe cannot play this game anymore, and it's frustrating to hear him say that he can still play at a high level. He can't.
  5. K, I agree that sullivan is a creep. But today's article is right on. This team is no different from last year's underachieving mess. A pattern has developed that implicates the players. A lot of gameday mistakes are being made that are eerily reminiscent of last season. When we punted on 4th and 4 from the pats 35, I knew we'd lose the game. Mike says the players believe. Does he? Then why the punt? What kind of message does that send your offense?
  6. You're wrong there. It's not a "good offensive line" by any means, but Drew had PLENTY OF TIME ALL NIGHT. He hasn't been sacked in two games before he bumbled his way into two sacks that Erik FLowers could have made. WAKE UP! It's DREW DREW DREW....He makes the line appear worse than it is, he make our receivers look helpless when they're not (Have you EVER seen Drew even LOOK at Sam Aiken? I thought so. ) If you're still in Drew denial, you must be family.
  7. one thing parcells *isn't*...besides thin, is stupid. a first round pick for travis and drew...? Drew can't execute a swing pass. Why would Parcells want him?
  8. I have yet to hear a satisfactory rebuttal for anything he says in that column. And I'm not a Sullivan fan.
  9. Reading the Ask Mike and Ask Tom segments this week, it can all be summed up as follows: etc.
  10. By the way, Mularkey said they benched Izelle for Baker. This proves that Drew is treated differently. None of the reporters asked good questions. All of them were softballs. It would be nice to hear him asked, "Why is Drew treated differently in terms of performance"? Or "Why don't you see if Matthews can spark the offense like you did with McGahee?" Nothing. No new information. Everything is status quo. Fuggit
  11. Drew is the starter next week. Just when we thought the hard days of Bills fandom were over. It goes on, and on...and on.
  12. poor field vision, poor judgment just plain poor. i'd like to sit drew down, steal his wallet, buy him a few drinks with his own money, and encourage him to retire. that's the best case scenario for the bills. Retire, give the rest of Ralph's $ back, and allow the Bills to avoid any cap hit.
  13. it'll be interesting to see which questions they actually respond to this week, cuz I"m sure there aren't many duckies and bunnies out there. If they publish the softballs, someone's gonna go ballistic, and it might be me.
  14. deee-um, beotch. has anyone ever asked if you had a case of the mondays?

  16. When we hear the press conferences this week, we're going to hear the same old things. Drew will say "hey, it was one game" and that he "can still play this game at a high level". Mularkey will say Drew gives us the best chance to win. Donahoe will say that a rookie head coach deserves some patience (even though he said at the start of the season that he's out of patience..convenient shift in words there)... It'll be as if they assume they're speaking to a bunch of drooling idiots. In a nutshell, we're going to hear more cliches, more lame excuses, and Drew will be the starter next week and beyond. You might want to tune out this week, cuz you're not going to hear anything you'll like. Or respect.
  17. Yes, they all know more football than any of us, and probably all of us combined. But these coaches and Donahoe DID: 1. extend Bledsoe how smart was that? Now if we cut him, it'll be a cap hit. 2. come out and say that Bledsoe can be resurrected under Mularky. What a joke. 3. give DB a vote of confidence after his last pathetic game. Will this continue? Yes. Bledsoe will be the starter next week, which will say a lot to the fans. It'll say that they are stubbornly sticking to the guy cuz he's Drew Bledsoe. If you go to the game, it's time to make some signs with some tough messages for this crew.
  18. If Bledsoe starts next week, (and we'll probably know by Thursday at the latest) then we should put our heads together and make some kind of statement to let TD and the coaches know that they're wasting our time and Ralph's $. Drew's attitude is so infuriating. He has no self awareness. He is a beaten, defeated man. And he's our "leader".

  20. is more likely than the best case scenario. first of all, that was the single most pathetic and embarrassing performance by a QB I've ever seen, including anything in the Ryan Leaf anthology. Drew MUST be benched. He must also be told that this is his last season on the Bills payroll. It needs to happen. This wretched era of underachieving must end. He's the lead engineer of the state of this team, and the person who assembled the team must be held accountable as well. If, in your 4th year of rebuilding, you still don't have an offensive line that knows how to make holes for a running back, I question your abilities. If you continue to start a washed up QB who hamstrings your team because you think he's a stand-up guy, I question your intentions as well as your wisdom. The worst case scenario is they keep starting Bledsoe, and continue to put JP LOsman in unwinnable situations, which destroys his confidence and chemistry with the team. That was the worst-schemed performance, worst coached game, worst blocked game, worsed quarterbacked game, and worst defensed game I've watched in years. The only thing that kept us in the game was Bobby April and Brian Moorman. I think that Moorman is our team MVP, and as a punter, this is a perfect statement for the team. Guess what, folks...our problems last year...they're weren't on williams' and gilbride's head. It starts with Bledsoe, and the blocking unit that DOnahoe built is next in line.
  21. campy, you don't get it. mcgahee didn't get any yards because they run blitzed all night and committed to stopping the run first. There were receivers open, and drew couldn't hit them. he tried and threw it in the dirt. He even threw bad swing passes. He was unable to force them to back off our run game. He had many opportunities. He threw the ball better to Troy Brown and Tedy Bruschi than any Bills receiver. DREW, and drew alone, is the MAIN reason we lost tonight.
  22. Campy, if you don't realize that Bledsoe was the biggest liability out there, you're just being stubborn. Plain and simple. Go back and rewind the game. I did already. Drew missed MANY open receivers, made throws that any pop warner QB knows you can't make, never once showed fire and passion, and looked like a defeated has-been all night. He was REASON NUMBER ONE for this loss. WAKE UP
  23. next week. If it's Drew, then clearly the organization judges him differently than any other player. If any other player performed at his level, they'd be benched. No question. But watch. They won't do it. Drew will start. And he'll make a few plays and maybe we might even win the game. And they'll use that as an argument that he can still do it, that he gives us the best chance to win. If Drew was even remotely self-aware, he'd admit to himself that he can't do this at a high level anymore. I was furious when i read the details of Drew's reworked contract because it locks him into us. Who's gonna take him in a trade? Who's gonna be insane enough to believe he's worth 5 million per season? Drew Bledsoe is Belichick's Trojan horse. I believe the Bills would have won more games with a Dilfer type in his span from 2002 to present. I can't stand watching him play anymore. I've long been a defender of Donahoe. I just can't do it anymore. There's too much data that tells a different story. I can't fend it off anymore. I've also been optimistic about Mularkey. He just got schooled. An NFL offense hasn't looked worse since...I'm not sure when, but I know it was a Bledsoe-led Bills team. Lump in gut.

  25. anything you can say won't have much of a counter argument. free-form. Ad lib. Just go for it, Jerry. You'll be right.
