  1. Sad man. You know a lot of people who know Williams. He was definitely a bit of a knucklehead (and when you’re a multiple sport star like he was you get full of yourself) but he grew up a lot. To think he was working construction and earning an honest living and got this from work is really sad. I also believe his last catch in the nfl was an 80 yard td from EJ. Sad story.
  2. Since Diggs has gotten here, he is a top 5 receiver and the stats back that up. He is the best route runner on the game. Would I rather have a baggier faster guy like Chase? Yeah for sure. But Diggs is great and always gets opened or doubled. and cook has gotten better as the season has gone along. It wasn’t his fault that we need to give our backup RBs so many Carries or didn’t throw to him early in the season. In a league that hates RBs, he was a second round pick. Guy has insane talent, he averages 5.3 ypc for his career. Also isn’t availability the best ability?
  3. I know you’re a guy who can’t criticize Allen but isn’t that part on him as well? Davis has caught a ton of deep passes here. We have almost essentially the same receivers as last year unless you think McKenzie was a huge loss, the deep ball has been missing and we do lack high speed. But Allen seemed more accurate throwing them in past years.
  4. Trust me there are some threads and there was a lot of down talk about the supporting group. Kincaid, before we didn’t need to pass last week and when Knox got hurt has averaged 53.9 yards in 7 games. That puts him basically tied with LaPorta 4th. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/stats/TE/2023/ytd/stats/nonppr/?sortcol=receiving_yds&sortdir=descending 100% agree he needs to get the ball further down the field and hope we see it more in the next few games I agree he wasn’t top 5 in Minny but he essentially averaged 1,000 yards/ season despite missing games every year. He has been a really good player since his rookie year. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DiggSt00.htm allen and Diggs took each other to the next level. I agree that Deebo is the more explosive player but Diggs’ game will make him be productive for longer.
  5. Agreed. Honestly, we hit what we should have expected with Gabe (and maybe more). He was a 4th rounder with not great speed. I would love to see Rome O or Keon Coleman be next to Diggs next year. Guys with all the traits who can grew into a number 1 receiver eventually.
  6. Honestly, not being a guy who is really being counted on probably helps him a lot. I like Knox but he’s getting a great paycheck as like a 5th option in the passing game.
  7. There was some narrative early in the season that Allen was surrounded by bums. Josh is our best player and a top 3 qb but can we finally argee that there is legit good talent on this offense? - one of the most improved (and honestly one of the best o lines in the nfl) - a top 5 receiver - a top 5 rb who is breaking out big time - a 1st round TE who is emerging as one of the best receiving TEs in the nfl obviously, Allen is the star but can we finally admit this is a really good group around him? How many groups are better? SF, Philly, Miami, and maybe Detroit?
  8. Love that you had an entire season to figure this out and the week of the game, you just give up! That’s the spirit! and the only game I missed in forever is when my ex girlfriend said we could watch the game on her non cable tv in Corning. She was wrong (and she didn’t care because she hated football) and by the time we figured out we had to go out for the game, Peterman had 4 ints against the Chargers no less!
  9. When you’re not very good, you should probably work harder to not get in trouble. Hope his restaurant is good because his nfl career is over.
  10. it happens in every sport and it’s awful. They need to stop rewarding it.
  11. This sounds like justification because you like Allen. It’s exactly the same. I hate flopping and think it’s garbage. I think players should get fined/ penalized for it. allen/ lebron are two of the biggest guys in their sports. Both awesome players but still a weak look. And as others have said, he might not get calls if he earns a rep for this. A lot or qbs do that. I do agree it’s super annoying.
  12. They were 8-4 with Lamar last year and 2-3 without him. Lamar had 20 tds to 7 ints, while their backups had 3 tds to 5 ints. has Lamar ever had a receiver like Diggs? They are on their 4th rb; their star TE is out; yet they keep winning. I think Allen is the better qb but this board loves to find ways to put down what Lamar does. He needs to prove it in the playoffs but maybe the guy 56-19 record (while his backups have gone 8-13) might be really important to his teams success. Crazy thought I know. Guys get old fast in the nfl.
  13. Williams has the best arm out of the guys you mentioned. Nix got to play against USC’s terrible defense (34.9 points/ game, 125th in the country) while Caleb played against Oregon’s (17 points: game, 11th in the country). Nix also has started 60!!! games which seems like a huge advantage. I do hear you on some of the pouty stuff but I think it’s different because he cares so much (I think Kyler seems indifferent). He lost 5 games while his team averaged over 40 points/ game. What qb would be happy in that situation? Williams is going to be Pat Mahomes, where we pick him apart until you realize that Mahomes did silly stuff in college because he had to carry a terrible defense. Personally, I believe in the guy who had 120 tds to 14 ints who made some of the best throws I have ever seen a college kid do. That said, I don’t doubt the bears could ruin him as well haha.
  14. I “joked” that we will beat the Chiefs and Cowboys only to lose to Easton Stick based on how the season has gone. just get a lead and take their hearts out early. That is a banged up and sad team. Kill their hope early.
  15. He was last year. He is coming back from a major injury and plays on a crapfest offense. I think he will have a big bounce back next year when he plays with a real qb and for a real OC.
  16. USC averaged almost 42 points/ game in the best pac 12 in years. They went 7-5. Williams is awesome and this is classic overthinking.
  17. I think nix is going to be terrible. He plays in a super friendly qb system ; against PAC 12 defenses; is like in his 10th year in college; and has very limited physical tools. He throws a ton of short passes. Maybe he went to SF but I can’t see him ever being more than a backup at best. and this is what we do every year. Try to find fault with clearly the best qb in Williams. He played with one of the worst defenses I have ever seen. He has to score 40 points/ game just to have a chance to win. When you have to do that, you are going to take a lot of risks. Also, USC isn’t loaded on offense this year either. Maye got a lot of passes for a bunch of dud games he had in a bad ACC this year. Williams got roasted for only scoring 40 points in a loss
  18. I kept in my keeper fantasy league! I had faith! there is some weird narrative that Allen plays with bums. We have a vastly improved o line, a top 5 wide receiver, a future star TE, and now a top 5 rb. Just glad we figured out to throw him the ball and get him space. Hall is awesome. Playing with Zack Wilson and behind that o line is making him look much worse than he is.
  19. Mitch Tribusky getting picked ahead of Mahomes is starting to look like a bad decision.
  20. I’m with you! Though it just my work league. In the toilet bowl of my college one where I’m the commish. I might need to fire myself. 😞
  21. You know he was drafted 10th overall, right? After Mitch Tribusky? and they traded a MVP candidate receiver before last year? And he had a high ankle sprain that knocked him out a playoff game and battled through it to win a SB?
  22. Those colts were so bad though. Bills and Vikes 0-4 in SBs. Who wins one first? Allen is a huge advantage over cousins or whoever they will have.
  23. No offense but this is insane. They are a bottom 5 group and closer to the bottom. If they didn’t have Mahkmes, it would be the worst offense in the nfl. Their best receiver is a 2nd round rookie who runs the Gabe Davis’ route tree. Davis would be by far the best receiver on KC. Think about that. have you ever watched or looked at MVS’ stats? Dude has produced like 400/500 yards a season with prime Rodgers and Mahomes.
  24. Come on
