I respect your opinion but I disagree. This regime gets way too much of a pass. I get it but What’s really been accomplished? Crappy offenses? Negative potential differential in back to back years? Trading up for guys like Zay?

They preach this BS culture and then try to get a guy who couldn’t be happy with a big contract, with a HOF qb (he’s a d bag too but still), and one of the best franchises in sports. I don’t think some fans understand how football windows work. When you have a qb on a rookie deal, it’s your time to load up. Then if your qb is good to get a big deal, you hope he is good enough to carry the team because you are going to have to unload talent. i still have a ton questions about Allen but you need to load now because this is thecwindow for 2-3 years. That’s why you need to make decisions on qbs being the long term answer after a few years. It’s kinda crazy but that’s the business. Hard to be patient. Sorry Wayne, but this makes no sense. Ridley looks good because the Falcons have one of the best receivers across from hkm who draws a ton of coverage. Also, Ryan has shown he is an elite QB who can just carry a team single handedly. How would it makes sense to trade the best player on the team at the end of Ryan’s prime? I would riot if I was a Falcons fan. but yes, if the Falcons were dumb enough to make this move, I would take Julio and pay him a new contract. He makes everything on your offense better simply with his presence.

Yeah, it’s crazy. When you have talented football players, they cost money. Crazy. Now, some fans are praising Beane for not making a trade. Our standards are so low. also, why would Atlanta make this trade unless they think Jones is washed?

At the same point, they are probably going to draft all defense. Imo, much easier for defensive players to make an impact compared to offensive ones. I won’t be shocked if they have an improved defense this year (not saying much because they were terrible but still).

Injuries. He was off to a very good start this year before he got hurt and he did have 8 tds with the Rams. And I know people love laughing at the decoy thing but it is legit. A huge reason our passing game has sucked for 2 years is no defense respects any receivers to beat them deep. Foster emerged at the end but it took like 10 games. That’s why you need multiple threats.

Another guy who got completely overrated by fans here. He was ok last year. That said, he deserves a chance to compete for a starting job. But if you can upgrade, do it.

The Steelers seem too. that said, it’s so hard to evaluate because it’s such a dependent position. If your qb or oline suck, it’s going to be tough for a receiver to shine. I think you need guys who can successfully run the route tree, get separation, and didn’t play in gimmicky offenses that get them open simply off play designs. for these reasons, a guy like DK makes me very nervous. But yeah, receiver can be a very tough position to evaluate. Also, there are good qbs who can elevate receivers and bad ones who can bring them down. I’d argue in Buffalo, we’ve had some good receivers held back by bad qbs (healthy Sammy, Evans, Moulds, etc.)

It would be so awesome to root for a defensive linemen who beats women.

I’m probably in the minority but I would kinda hate the Metcalf pick. Injuries, lack of production, blowing up because of a combine, and not even being a number 1 on his college team terrifies me. Maybe it all comes together in the Nfl. But he seems like a really risky pick at 9.

His qb sucked in college. Like sucked really bad. I am in the minority but I would rather have Harry than Metcalf. It’s hot take but I’ve loved the guy for 2 years. Can’t back off now!
