1) I agree with the general point of elite qbs can make wrs. But also Brady’s best year was when he had Moss. 2). Are Ryan, Dalton, Stafford close to the same players without their stud receivers? No way. 3). The point about receivers not being responsible for winning SBs but you can do that for a lot of positions. One team, sadly mainly the Pats, win SBs. To say you don’t need an elite player at position because you didn’t win a SB is a little silly. And Thomas was a bad call away from being in a SB. i won’t pay the annoying, diva receiver guys like OBJ, TO, Brown monster money. They are selfish and can destroy a locker room. But to think quiet hard working guys like Thomas, Hopkins, Green don’t deserve big money because of the position they play don’t make sense to me.

The Bills playoff game no one remembers
C.Biscuit97 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s hilarious all the hate Flutie got. I believe he set passing records in this game. But he’s a loser because Reed throw a temper tantrum and he got murdered by Armstrong. Some fans are some dumb. ? He couldn’t be stopped. I remember This game so well. -
1) you need to maximize Brees’ window so you’re not going to play games with Thomas. 2) the cap will increase 3) your next qb is set up nice. I am clearly in the minority, but I would have keep Watkins and overpaid him (if his foot got cleared which it might not have). I’d rather overpay to have talent around your qb than underpay and have play the guys we have. but I definitely understand the concerns of paying such a dependent position so much money. But Thomas doesn’t seem like a diva and he is still really young. The NfL makes billions and billions of dollars.

Why? In the sport that makes the most money, why shouldn’t the players get it? Do you want the owners to get more of it. I never get fans who get upset at players getting paid, especially in a sport with non guaranteed contracts and the shortest careers. and all this deal is show me how much we need a real number 1 receiver. What good qb doesn’t? Brady, possibly the greatest qb ever, had Gronk. Rodgers has Adams. Brees has Thomas. Mahomes has Kelce and that troll scumbag. Ryan has Jones. Watson has Hopkins. Allen has Brown and Jones. They are ok but we need more.

Again, we traded multiple draft picks for a guy who was our number 1 receiver last year. But let’s laugh at him!
-
Matt Barkley, who had awful career numbers and still only has a 68 career qb rating, had a 117 qb rating in his one start with same group Peterman did!
-
Haha. Come on Jon. Coach your team and stop posting here. I mean I have never seen you play but I agree.

That’s the problem with him being a backup. He’s a player away from playing. He was literally the worst nfl qb I have ever seen. I know he’s a nice guy. Honestly, I didn’t even get mad watching him. I just laughed. Even quarterback who is not in the nfl has a right to be pissed that Peterman is. But it will be hilarious when Carr gets hurt and Brown is “catching” passes from Peterman.

EJ >>> Peterman

But it’s completely true. It’s not NP’s fault. He just doesn’t have a nfl arm. And has an “offensive” guru ever been worse with qbs than Gruden? He loved RJ and wanted him to start for the Bucs. One of the most overrated coaches ever. Tyrod is Joe Montana compared to Peterman.

Bills Training Camp Day 5 - 7/30

Dareus is still a better player than Star. He starts for the Jags (a vey good defense) and can play on passing downs. He just never lived up to what he could have been as one of the best DTs in the nfl. It’s fair. He got bloated but he still starts for one of the best defenses in the league. -

Yup. Don’t disagree and it’s a shame because he had HOF talent. He got his money and became fat and content. Sadly, I think this happens to a lot of big guys. ? -

You are one who can’t any little criticize about the bills go without defending their honor. And you have been far more wrong than right. I mean I love optimism but you’re annoying about this. I give plenty of credit when it’s due. We have a very good defense. But I can’t believe I don’t fall over myself praising an offense that has been terrible under SM. Ray Ray isn’t that good and I don’t think he will make th Signature bet? I win (which I will) I come up with your sig. you win, vice versa. ?? -

I’ll take that bet. You’re wrong all the time. Name the wager. You think every guy on the Bills should make the roster. You’re the bestest fan ever!!! -

Something about Ray Ray annoys the crap out of me. I think he thinks he’s OBJ and the reason Clemson won a championship. He wasn’t even as good as that 30 year old former band member they had as a slot receiver. Happens as you get deeper in camp. I love it as long as they arent idiots throwing punches. -

I actually agree with you here. Not to go back to the Gailey days but I think the biggest mistake they made was not drafting a qb when we had Fitz. Every young qb would benefit from having Fitz to learn from. I think the problem is Fitz is too good of a guy to be a backup and often ends up playing better than the young guy and teams don’t want that headache. He was better than Winston last year. But ultimately, his physical limitations hold him back in the long run. Still better than Tannehill. -

Yes, I weigh the most recent more than RT’s last “good” season 4 years ago. We’ll agree to disagree. I know what Fitz is. But his best is a lot more scary than RT’s. There were very few qbs I feared the Bills going against less than Tannehill. -

So if Fitz did that with the number 2 defense we had, what’s our record last year? And before you say we don’t have the receivers TB has, he did it with some scrubs here. Fitz is the second best qb in the division right now. Yeah, I’m go with the most recent year. I fear Fitz more than I fear Tannehill. There’s a reason the Fins had to throw in a 6th round pick with him just to get a 4th. Hint, he’s meh. Hot Fitz >>>> meh Tannehill bad Fitz << Meh Tannehill You’re annoying. ?. But yup, the fans of a 6 win team shouldn’t be laughing at 7 win one. Especially when 2 of those wins came against that team and they fired everyone because of it. -

And his wife, while not ugly, was completely overrated!!! Tennessee has the most potential but will never live up it qb depth chart on the nfl. It’s Mariota! It’s Tannehill! It’s disappointment! I’d take 295 passing yards and 100 qb rating from a Bills qb. -

Wait. You mean the most recent year? Solid argument.
