Really early to do this. I think McCoy for Kiko and Hughes for Sheppard are better trades than anything Beane has done. We need to wait on draft picks obviously but there are a bunch of Whaley guys starting in good teams. And I’m not even knocking Beane. I think minus qb, Whaley built some super talented teams.

I’m not arguing that Barkley should start over Allen. My point was in a true open competition, it’s very easy for a veteran to look better than a 2nd year qb, especially one learning a brand new offense. I just don’t know why there is a rush to try to label qbs as busts. It’s literally the hardest position to learn in sports and we expect guys to master it in a couple of years. Fitz is a great example of this. Dude had his best year in year 10.

I know you hate Tyrod but he “did make” the pro bowl. But considering they were cutting him and had the number 1 pick, it was pretty dumb. Kiko was also coming off a major injury and hadn’t played in a year. Chip Kelly the GM killed Chip Kelly the coach. Kiko probably did well in Miami though. So I guess that’s a positive.
