  1. The correct way to go about it is determine the home/away splits over a given time. The wrong way is to "sort by QBs" but I'd expect nothing less from dumb generic analysts.
  2. Love our guys with the points. Might even make it my five star lock of the week.
  3. Funny little secret: the biggest reason big-name coaches don't want this job is even their massive egos know they can't win without a QB. That sorta tells you how overrated those guys actually are. There are still bright young minds that will jump at the chance of taking 1 of 32 precious jobs in the world. You just quite obviously cannot trust Russ Brandon to have any clue on what those guys look like.
  4. Are you distinguishing between conf play and non-conf or not? I think it's pointless because your schedule is your schedule but you insist on focusing on non-conf. OK fine. But wait Minnesota is a common opponent so doesn't count! So if tOSU played a real team like K-St or OU instead of Cincy & Kent St that wouldn't count. But those junk teams being less junky than others totally outweighs a 14pt loss to a sub .500 ACC team at home. In conclusion, you want to schedule soft teams that people have heard of but make sure they don't play in conferences that are likely to have other playoff contenders because then they won't count.
  5. Sort by "last game & non-conferemce" is so arbitrary. Even if it wasn't, I wouldn't go near the non-conf point; considering said Big10 afterthought (aka their 4th best team) is a whole lot better than the ACC afterthought you lost to by double digits at home.
  6. If you see any of them tonight punch them in their spoiled face for me.
  7. If Chip Kelly decides he'd rather have Sanchez (who we could've signed as a FA this year for nothing)? Yah maybe a 5th rounder.
  8. I need to fade a 60pt game from him which yahoo says is 100% but I'm a little scared.
  9. I hate how silly stuff like this fistbump picks up so much momentum. It makes it easy for the Mike Pereira's of the world to get on their soapbox and it cheapens the legitimate point that the Bills have generally been sodomized by awful calls this year. I would rather hear Pereira explain the offensive holding flag picked up in Chicago, or the mugging of Woods on the int in Houston which would've been routine PI in 1974 (Sammy in Detroit same thing), or the OPI's vs NE, or the grounding in Miami, or Hogan getting jacked 11yds out of bounds vs KC, or any of the 18 calls yesterday, or why Chandler is the only TE in the league not allowed to push off a little, or why our offense is somehow flagged for as much PI as opposing D's, or why CBS can't show a replay of 50yd penalties. I don't think it's a conspiracy but either we are on an incredible unlucky streak or Marrone's approach to refs is all wrong. If all this stuff happens to every team every week then why haven't we gotten a meaningful break since the Carolina PI which was 27 games ago (please correct me if I'm missing any? I suppose you can say the Sammy TD vs Miami as well...week 2 seems to be our only good luck charm...can we play NE then next yr?).
  10. You need to wake up and realize it's 2014. Your expectations for a defense in the modern game are ridiculous. The Rams are good. They also got trucked by KC & Minnesota offenses that did very little against us, and blew a 21-0 lead to Dallas at home. We're not quite Seattle - the most recent defense that is, probably the '02 Bucs. Neither of those Hawk/Ram games were in Denver either.
  11. No, much of it was 1 play. Christ man, watch any of the other 7 Denver home games. The D did a nice job. It's ridiculous you think Manning is all about leading his RBs into a suicidal "Picket's charge" when there's a 200+ game sample that suggests otherwise.
  12. That's just bull. Nobody is disputing Orton's # were junk. Their defense is better than our offense; who didn't know that before the game? Again, that has nothing to do with 21 for 56. It's Peyton freaking Manning, in case you haven't noticed the last 14yrs he's not handing off vs a defense that's selling out vs the run just cause he's up 2-3 scores except maybe the last possession.
  13. Umm no. What do Orton's junk time stats have to do with 58 yards on 21 carries?
  14. I know WGR is the devil here; but it's funny everything Schopp feared/predicted came true. Marrone coached exactly like someone who didn't mind losing 24-17 because a 24-17 loss in Denver looks good on a Bills coach.
  15. That was cute how Tommy pretended like he was going to throw farther than 8yds downfield for a second.
  16. RECENCY BIAS. What about Michigan, Penn St & Indiana all of whom have garbage offenses.
  17. I don't know why the TCU thing is so hard to grasp. They have the best loss by far, didn't lose to WV by two TDs. Va Tech at home, gmafb.
  18. So who we got coming in next year? This might be the worst SU backcourt I've ever seen.
  19. Think I'd go Sanu and maybe FJax over Crowell but honestly it's a crap shoot. Man 2WRs & no flex is a lame format. I think you should load up on high upside guys and never draft guys like Boldin/FJax and take QB/TE earlier than normal which you did; tough break with Brees having a down year.
  20. Haha +1. The lil Donte apologists popping up at every opportunity definitely become a long running tradition here. At least we can finally put that tired debate to rest. It's so rare that actual players tell someone to stfu. I love it.
  21. Most influential on the reasons for 14 > 12: 1) Dave Wandsteadt 2) Jerry Hughes .... 5) Mario's wrist 19,872) Doug Marrone Has nothing to do with fans being fans.
  22. I was thinking about this this morning wondering why the line isn't Bills -3 as I expected. If you're talking about position groups as a whole and not individual players you have a case. Most would say OL they're better but it's probably not a landslide with Urbik in and Mack out. But ya they're not really appreciably better anywhere though to be fair we aren't either in most places except DL.
  23. Awesome for Ray who can successfully read out of the cliche announcer handbook. Does he have any thoughts on the Jets riding their tidal wave of momentum to getting destroyed after a 4th down stop?
