  1. It's even more bothersome when it happens in our place. Road game it's still bad, but I mean home teams get calls all the time. But can anyone imagine these calls going against NE in Foxboro?
  2. Anddd...the Bills close as the favorite. Who knows things. <--- this guy.
  3. I would go with Spiller over FJax this week msyelf. FJax has been better and I'd rather have him for the rest of the year; but he's not going to be better every game. The difference isn't so great that you have to start a guy who is banged up. Whatever little upside there is to the Bills affinity for RB's, it should be put to use in games like this.
  4. /thread. Maybe don't take a road team favored by 3-4pts (or an underdog).
  5. Who is worse - Phil Simms or Trent Richardson? Gotta get that FG for the EMOTIONAL LIFT down 24-0. STFU IDIOT.
  6. This. "Long term viabilablahblahblah". Show me the P&L where they're losing $.
  7. Inconsistency is just a euphemism for mediocre.
  8. Oh man. Wouldn't have survived 17 million hack writer/bloggers with a sugar pouring reference. Because the JBJ Prayer ones were all so hilarious.
  9. WTF am I reading? J Bell is Joique of the Lions right? You drop Pierre Thomas and pick him up. This isn't close.
  10. Sure, I'm saying the network without the doubleheader almost always has one or two at the most crappy late games and that's it. Arizona-St Louis or SD-Oakland. I predict for the early games you get stuck with Jax@Tenn (for the Houston division connection) on CBS. FOX 1pm is a crapshoot because the Giants/Eagles/Skins aren't playing then. So there's a non-zero chance you get the Bills. I would guess it'll be GB-Miami though.
  11. You can tell who has the doubleheader just by looking at the 4:00 games. Dallas@Seattle = FOX. CBS aint gonna feature SD@Oakland.
  12. I mean the implication when they say that is that the difference between 7pt lead and 10 is greater than the difference between 3 and 7. It's just not true. But why would coaches or announcers use the free data available in 2014.
  13. Well it's not just week 5, it's 3 games and Rivers is the worst QB Seattle has played. Man I hate how announcers say "1 possession game" with 25 minutes left. Surely the Skins D is gonna shut them out the rest of the way!
  14. Yah so notwithstanding the silly cherry-picked stats (passes defended?) & tiny sample size, Football Outsiders has Seattle 8th & Indy 25th. 1st & 16th (that's better than I thought) last year.
  15. I agree with the general philosophy and trend to de-value RB's. But our management wanted to use a high pick on Carlos Hyde, so....IDK what you want to do with that. I think it's safe to say at this point Hackett really does just suck at using him. Textbook not adapting to your talent. Lots of people ITT pretend like 2012 never happened.
  16. The only "sustainable" offenses over a multi-year sample are the ones with good QB's. In the meantime he's making a fool out of your antiquated caveman views of offense with very average talent.
  17. Confirmed not close. I don't think people realize how bad the Colts otherwise suck.
  18. Before he went in for surgery & after he led a season saving drive in Washington on the shot back? That was when they looked past an effective playoff game on Sunday Night in which they were an underdog with their backup? If you want to be believed, maybe make up a better story?
  19. The Lions are about as good as the Bears, Dolphins, Saints, Eagles, Panthers, Chiefs, and about fifteen other teams including the Bills. Opinions on them will change wildly with each week, but in the end they're the same. A few of them will be luckier than others with injuries, favorable schedules & close games and make the playoffs. Next August we will all speak in disbelief at how there is so much turnover in the playoffs every year. #NFL.
  20. I just played a "Bill Simmons & Cousin Sal Guess the Lines" game with myself. Brag - I'm pretty good at it. Within a point on every single game. Except this one. I'll be interested to see if a flood of professional $ comes in on the Bills late in the week as happened this weekend.
  21. Ya I guess I don't really take exception to that. I just don't know why it deserves a thread anymore than Aaron Williams. Average #2 WR has never been one of anyone's top ten problems.
  22. Meh, they've come off wins more often than not these last twelve years. This apparently wtf. It's normally Dalton mostly but this game is everyone.
  23. Well the pollyannas are right once in a while. In addition to what everyone else has said, did anyone ever say he was "great"? Are 2nd yr 2nd rounders supposed to be?
  24. How so? We needed another 1st down or two to win the game & weren't going to get it on the ground.
