  1. That FG is a joke. Not surprising though, Marvin's a clown.
  2. You and the redzone guy might be the only two people on the planet. I was afraid we were gonna let 10secs run off the clock after the Lions 3rd down, or waste the last timeout "icing" kicker. Flawless clock management for once. Should be routine but somehow it's not.
  3. How many red flags do you need? Not signed yet, FJax extension, Bryce Brown trade, reportedly wanted to draft Carlos Hyde. They've done everything short of ceasing sale of his jersey on BB.com. Actually I haven't checked that.
  4. Rescue what? Fans have this guy way overrated. He ought to be paying royalties to Joe Flacco.
  5. Johnsin is obviously just a typo, I think, since nobody's spelled like that. Mays is pretty good, does a lot of research. He was on the Cowboys OL in the preseason before everyone jumped on the bandwagon after Sunday night. I put in Woods over Greg Jennings when I heard Bridgewater wasn't playing, which so far looks smart... I think the lesson is to avoid FSU QB's.
  6. Sure. RB scarcity is a real thing, particularly with your team. It makes some sense. Don't try so hard to rationalize it though. Hopkins is good, TRich stinks.
  7. This is one of the bigger misconceptions in fantasy imo. Teams that get big leads usually do so by throwing. 6.5pt favorites usually aren't ahead 28-7 at halftime anyway.
  8. Ya. I feel like he focuses more on line play than most too. It was almost embarrassing hearing Golic and everyone this week on espn basically repeat everything he said about the Cowboys OL Sunday night.
  9. Meh, small sample randomness. Their home/road splits have typically been like the Bills which is to say it matters yes, but not to that extreme.
  10. The Lions didn't give up much on the ground and got lots of pressure that game. Cam made some awesome throws under duress; half of which Benjamin dropped.
  11. Good catch. I think you're right. That practice pre-dates FOX. I remember a home game vs the Bears in '91 not being on CBS when they carried the NFC.
  12. And he recalled the Cowboys-Eagles game last December on Sunday Night as meaningless. Which is impossible to do if you follow football at all.
  13. Schopp & Bulldog are the best. Riter stinks.
  14. I draft someone with a good week 1 matchup and stream matchups all year. In your case I'd cut the Cardinals who are playing over their heads sans Dockett, play the Chargers the next two weeks, then cut them and roll with Cincy the rest of the way.
  15. A month from now it'll be hard to believe we were 7.5 dogs here.
  16. Fire up the WGR audio app today. First thing Jeremy White has to say is alluding to the meaningless Cowboys-Eagles game last year. The meaningless game that decided the division. WTF do you follow football at all? Get that clown out of there. So much whining here about Schopp&Bulldog but they never get stuff like that wrong.
  17. I've avoided being the guy proclaiming NE dead 800 times over the years. I was yawning in '06 when they got off to a slow start and everyone else was yapping about Brady's lack of WR's. After Week 1, I tried to think of the last time they got stomped like that in the division - not including the Cassell Wildcat game or the Lawyer Milloy game. Couldn't think of one. Found a 21-0 Dolphins loss in '06. Today I'm trying to think of the same thing without the division caveat. Can only think of a Brees-led Chargers drubbing in Foxboro '05ish. Maybe there have been a couple others - that Monday Night game in New Orleans? Even though fans have short memories, these things really haven't happened very much. And they've happened twice in four weeks. I still want to see them lose a big home game next week before I totally get there. But man we are getting there I think. Lets go Orton.
  18. And a historically great TE when healthy. The OL was very good last year. It can't just be Mankins that's the difference. OL coach?
  19. The dirty little secret is that nobody is really pissed about it. It's just a few embarrassed internet personas trying to save face after mocking people who dare read the writing on the wall in big bold letters no more than a week ago.
  20. But enough about the 2013 & '14 drafts... Lets talk about this QB move that gives us a fighting chance.
  21. But you need to not have a terrible one. You keep saying superstar as if there's nothing in between that and EJ. And at the same time arguing minutia about Dalton & Smith being better or worse than I think. Whatever. They are clearly both the prototype JAGS you're talking about when describing Orton; as good as the team around them. Which is worlds better than EJ.
  22. JAG QB's don't really exist. That's why Alex Smith and Andy Dalton get lots of $. Mediocre QB's have value. They give you a chance to win by being competent, if they have good pieces around them. A terrible QB gives you no such chance.
  23. I just think it's interesting that semantics about "generic TBD poster's" college QB's evaluation is automatically your first reaction. Who cares? You may not want our Front Office to be better than "John in Amherst". I do. Don't think that's asking too much. It's mostly a crapshoot anyway. I had no bleeping idea if he'd be good. Nobody did. I didn't really understand the hype about him being the #1 pick his Jr. year. But I know his consensus 'rating' was universally higher than EJ and he was available at #32. That's the exact sort of prospect a team with no qb should be taking a chance on.
  24. Blaming the fans is a new one, even for the apologists on here. If the fans have that much impact on our personnel decisions, can we start a petition to draft two or three QB's every single year until we find one that can play - because nothing else matters until you do that? Granted this would involve swinging and missing on a few Jimmy Clausens in the 2nd round and missing out on the greatness of Torrell Troup leading us to all those playoff games and division titles. But at least we can move on from him after a year rather than wasting multiple years pretending he can play. And we're not stuck pigeon-holing ourselves in a year when there is no 1st round talent available (which was acknowledge by Nix on tape); and then trading away another future 1st round pick in a futile attempt to help make him look competent. Butnaah lets just ignore the most important position and put all our eggs in these JP/EJ baskets, and then blame the doom&gloom TBD posters when it doesn't work!
