  1. I just thought it was interesting to see the similarities in the statistics. The Buffalo and Dallas teams are different in many facets of the game. The Bills had a great running game in 02...Henry averaged 4.4 yards a carry and finished with almost 1500 yards and 13 TDs and the cowboys have a decent running game this year, but Julius Jones will not rush for 1500 yards. Right now Drew's o-line is protecting him very very well, they did not allow a sack against a very tough Iggles defense. But to be sure Drew still takes alot of hits due to his style of waiting until the last second to release the ball, which you will see even now when you watch the Cowboys, and that I think is what impacts his play at the end of the year. He's tough but he still takes mass punishment and his body won't recover as easily as it used to and that catches up. I am not saying "what if" we still had him because I think we would be in the same boat as we are right now because the Bills O-line is still a siv especially up the middle which is where DCs blitz against Drew due to his lack of mobility. I would be glad for Drew if he were putting up these stats on another team but I loathe the cowboys and I hope their fans are as disappointed as Bills fans were in Drew's play in the second half of the season. There are 3 reasons as to why Drew may have more second half success in Dallas than he did in Buffalo: 1: If his o-line keeps him off his back (which the Bills could not) then he still has the ability to put up MVP numbers. But I completely agree that QBs and offenses are only as good as their O-line and if. I completely agree that QBs and offenses are only as good as their O-line and if they keep playing like this the Bills will look like the stupidest SOBs for letting him go even though our o-line would have never allowed him to put up these numbers this year. 2: If Julius Jones starts to run like he did in the second half last year then that will take a ton of pressure off Drew by providing a running presence and taking some of the burden off of Drew and his arm, because I just don't think he can carry a team with his passing ability alone (note how his pass attempts are down compared to Buffalo) and reason 3: Bill Parcells will put him in more of a position to succeed with his offensive schemes than did Greggo and Killdrive. Parcells commits to the run and rarely abandons it like Killdrive routinely did. And this dedication to the run will eventually wear down a defense and allow Drew to continue to strive. Like I said this isn't a "what if" post because I firmly believe Drew would be struggling mightily in Buffalo this year because of our gameplans (or lack thereof) and our weak interior o-line. This post was simply to compare the similarities in starts for Drew within the respective franchises, and my hope that the cowboys and especially their fans here in Texas are as disappointed as I was in the final results, because the Cowboys are up there on my list of most hated NFL teams.
  2. I was just looking at stats since I am stuck at work until 7 AM. And I realized that I hate Cowboy fan even more now that I live in the state of Texass and have to listen to them. So I got to thinking yet again about just how excited we were as Bills fans after the first few weeks Drew played for us so I decided to compare his first 5 games with buffalo to the first 5 in dallas: Buffalo (2-3) to Dallass (3-2) 148/218 (68%) to 98/159 (62%) 1,762 YDS to 1,351 YDS 12 TD-5 INT to 10 TD-3 INT QB Rating of 102.6 to 102.0 After the first half of the season the Bills were 5-3 and we were all no doubt pumped about a playoff run , but much to our chagrin Drew's QB rating was a very average 79.4 over the last 11 games with a few games in the 50's and 40's. I hope to laugh at all the Cowboy fandom just as the NE fans laughed at us, when the Cowboys finish JUST out of the playoffs which is Drew's modus operandi, but alas this may not happen with the Girls playing in the weak NFC. I think we could very well see the Drew we all know and love this week with Julius Jones, who has not played well but is at least a running "threat," out for the game. The cowboys will have to rely more on Drew's arm (which has thrown 59 less passes when comparing the stats above) when a defense will be hell bent on rushing him and ignoring the run "game" the cowboys are throwing out there we could very well see 5 or 6 sacks on sunday for the G-men and 2 or 3 INTs as they go on to begin the exposing of drew's mediocrity...another thing nobody has ever brought up is why do team's think a QB who's middle name is McQueen can lead them anywhere?
  3. Um I bet WAYNE Gandy stays...in New Orleans or wherever they are playing next year...and I bet MIKE Gandy stays put in Buffalo too. Hopefully TD is ridden out on a rail though...and Tom Clements with him.
  4. when has belichick played musical quarterbacks? We have TEs?
  5. um how bout at the expense of the playoff drought. We have all the flashy players you could ask for but we need an OL just look at the Kelly-era OL they were unreal.
  6. this organization is terrible and yes we are fast becoming the "new" bengals.
  7. if he wasn't a prick i would take him cuz the guy has huge talent.
  8. watch the games we get the same amount of pressure whether we send the house or rush 4. i liked last week because we beat the damn dolfelons but this team is still staring 6-10 right in the face.
  9. Holds what cards? the guy routinely drops balls in big moments and can't stretch the field anymore. I have been so fed up with the EM ass kissing that goes on here and in the media...the guy doesn't produce. And this???? help the kid out and at least pretend like you give a sh-- when he struggles. so long EM go to hell or where all the other old bills go to die...minnesota He's classless as evidenced by his alleged spitting incidents and the fact he can't go all out even when this team is in games. IE short arming a first down pass from JP...damn you JP if only you threw the ball into his chest so he could just catch it and fall down and not worry about those big old mean defenders that want to hit him then he could support you. And i think eric moulds quit on JP all together...so that means that the old addage: "spitters are quitters" must be true.
  10. I can't wait for the moulds era to be over.
  11. they suck but i will continue to watch each and every bills game this season only because in my heart i want to believe there is a chance.
  12. if the bills don't win some more games this year the future SB party will be in Mexico City.
  13. Yeah we lost as my old sig said "courtesy of another great Tom Clements game plan." Also the first four games last year could have easily been 2-2. If our "shutdown" corner just knocks the ball down against jville we win. If travis doesn't slip against oak we win or if MM challenges the TH run at the goal line we win. It could have been the fact that he just ran 200+ yards on a single play.
  14. Moulds has sucked for years now...dropping just as many big passes and/or giving up on passes as Josh Reed. there will be no "critical" passes this season.
  15. While EM has had some great moments with the Bills he has cost them games with big drops in big situations, and yesterday watching him short arm that pass made me realize that he should be gone. and spitting on someone is ridiculous. Bon Voyage classless eric.
  16. You're right lets only talk about how well the GM and coaching staff have done. I'll start...damn i'm stumped.
  17. This is all the analysis needed if those forming opinions have even watched the game. Good QB play??? HAHAHA! and for willis to get yards mularkey must pull his head out and actually run the f-ing ball. Its easy to be good at takeaway/giveaway when every "drive" is 3 and out. All that being said I, truly an eternal optimist (i have to be as a Cubs and Bills fan), will probably get sucked into believing again if we beat the dolfelons and the jests. But right now as bad as the Jests have looked we have looked equally bad.
  18. yeah like your teammate tripping you instead of blocking for you and leading you to the endzone.
  19. Moulds and tell him to man up and fight for a ball to show the young QB he at least cares.
  20. Moulds sucks he gave up on two passes that could have netted first downs and short armed another ball...way to help out the youngster. EM=cap casualty
  21. i was stoked about the bills coming to SA this week and then i would be flying to buffalo to watch them next week...all i can say about the prospects of the trip is at least i will eat some good food
  22. maybe he can get a job with the jills when his NFL career is over next year I want this kid to succeed but like others have said he just isn't showing flashes of brilliance in between his crappy play. he's fast enough to make him a safety though when TV hangs em up...i still hope that he can be the player we were all told he would be. And his TD to INT ratio was not that solid in college, and his accuracy and tendency to force passes (which leads to picks) were the 2 knocks on him coming out. that pick he threw today was god-awful so to say he is seeing the field is ridiculous because there is no way he saw the saints safety playing centerfield and if he did hes an idiot for throwing the ball. This post probably is all over the place but it hurts to think i live to watch this team and they disappoint me every week.
  23. no he hired mularkey before the pats won the SB
  24. Watching this team live made it painfully obvious that this team/organization sucks from top to bottom...starting with the cheap owner who won't pay coaches...the GM who may have saved us from cap hell but has put us into a we may never be good again hell...to the coaching staff...to the idiot back-up LB Stamer who should have rolled the saints player instead of helping to trip his own man.
