Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?
zow2 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course, we know the guys can beat KC there. and they would. -
I don't get them mixed up but Benford has been an enigma for me. I hardly knew anything about the guy or even what he looked like? He was just a player that lined up out there. So I watched the fluff video that the Bills put out recently with Maddy interviewing on Benford and Rasul. Apparently they are best buds. So now I at least know who the man is and what he sounds like. Bernard on the other hand,,, I've seen his story off the field. Pretty cool.

Happy 28th Birthday to the Queen of Buffalo
zow2 replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in Off the Wall
Yep. If Thurman could end his career in Miami, Bruce in Washington, Joe Montana in KC, Peyton in Denver, Brady in Tampa, etc…. there is nothing outlandish about Allen wanting to play out his final couple seasons for his boyhood team (SF) or his current offseason home (LA). -

For sure he’s ending his career someday with the 49ers or Rams. Hopefully by then he will have secured Buffalo at least one SB. -
The Lions have got to be everyone’s second favourite team…right?
zow2 replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
If it ended up being Detroit vs KC, yeah i’d root for the Lions. -
Week 15, Bills v. Lions, PREDICT THE SCORE!
zow2 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 27 Lions 26 Late FG wins it for the good guys. -
So Josh leads them to 42 points and 6 TDs in the blue pants and they can't stick with it? Hmmmm. Ok i guess the D got shredded in the blue pants so it means change it up.
-
He's not fast but he was able to roll right unimpeded and release a nice accurate throw whenever he needed to. The Dline or LBs just gave him a free pass. Goff will do the same and he's probably even more accurate. Don't forget the rush defense either. McCaffrey was maybe going to hit 200 yards in that snow game if he didn't get hurt. He was rolling with huge chunks. Then the Bills built a nice lead and SF became one dimensional. The Lions have two excellent backs. Look, the entire D laid an egg on Sunday. I think they show some pride vs Detroit and play better, I really do.

RB's are killing it this season all over the league. WR's are complaining about lack of touches, AJ Brown, Deebo, etc.. I do think Ty has maybe the best hands on the team (other than Shakir),,,,and his north/south running is tremendous.
-
They have no choice. If the D gets torched all day in Detroit and can't slow them down? then just pack up the season and get ready for the draft.

Just watching some of the morning sports shows, the narrative all week has been "is Sean McDermott and the Bills are wasting Josh Allen's greatness". It's like they are posters here at TBD. I wonder if this stuff gets back to McD?

Uncanny "Game of the Year" Losses for Bills Every Year Since 2020
zow2 replied to 2003Contenders's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ugh, so do we have any comparable uncanny wins?! -
He should hire Romo or Brady to be his end of half/game, “time out, clock management and situational awareness” point man. They tend to know everything up in the booth.

Orlovsky made a good point in an interview i saw today. He said the Bills don’t see the Shanahan style offense in the AFC. McVay’s offense uses a lot of the same principles. on a dry indoor field, with all his weapons back, Stafford was able to exploit the D and caused the Bills to have problems. He said Detroit also uses many features of the Shanny style offense. We can expect more problems unless they can fix things this week. Plus, Detroit just has really good offensive players. scheme or not they are hard to defend.

I agree. if someone wants to go around and audit every loss in the NFL this season by 3 points or less, there are a boatload of plays, clock management, timeout usage, personnel issues, etc that can found. A lot right towards the end. I’m not excusing McD, he’s a moron for overseeing that end of game debacle,

400 page bible, what? So do the UNC students there and alums support this, are they excited about Belichek? I have no idea.

Such a great line coming from a highly respected Championship coach. That was cool.

An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game
zow2 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reid is very calm, cool and collected during those late game clutch moments of handling clock, timeouts, personnel, etc... Same thing with Mahomes. No panic from him and heart rate doesn't appear to be going 150. I get the sense at the end of games the Bills pucker up a bit. Except for Allen. He balls. -
I agree. i'm mostly referring to players that have tweaks and are questionable. Pittsburgh is becoming a problem and they need to drop a couple. They have some tough games coming up. I also think there's still a reasonable chance KC loses at Pittsburgh and at Denver. Plus Houston could rise up and play their best game of the season vs KC. You never know, unlike the Chargers, Houston has decent weapons. I'm not totally giving up on the 1 seed. But the Bills have to do their part this Sunday.
-
There's no load management this week. Keon, Kincaid, etc.. whoever can play and contribute is suiting up. It's going to be a simulated playoff game with real playoff intensity. If KC keeps winning and the Bills decide to back off a bit in the final 3 weeks to protect people, i can see that.

That's where Von messed up his knee that took him over a year to recover. But his knee got hit, that's not turf related.
-
It's embarrassing for McD, but maybe just as much for his staff giving him advice and recommendations from the booth. It was pretty clear as McD stumbled through his answer in the post game presser than he didn't think about the ramifications of using that 3rd timeout. He said yesterday in his media call that they've "learned from it". Ok i guess.

This Detroit game is going to be great. There's so many reasons the Bills are going to show up and ball out for this game. 1) McDermott, Babich and the defense were humiliated. They were taken to school vs LA and I can guarantee as high level competitors, the defense is coming as if this is a playoff game. We all hope they stay away from injuries, but this is probably the final game before playoffs that everyone who can play is playing and going 110%. They will be flying around the ball and tackling better to make amends from last week. They can't allow another opposing team Star player to go off with a career day. They can't and won't allow Detroit's Oline to dominate the trenches. 2) The Special Teams were humilated vs LA. They allowed a punt block TD and then went brain dead on being prepared for the final punt. They never even gave themselves a chance to block the Rams punt or set up a return due to 9 men on the field. Enough said, those guys will be dialed in. 3) Without Allen's amazing scrambling, the rushing attack netted 21 yards. The Bills Oline will be coming out ready to be fast and physical in the run game. They will win the trench battle this week. 4) Allen is going for the MVP. It's all in his control. I know some people here don't care, but I've heard Dion and some of the other guys talk about it as being a big deal in the room. Despite what people think, the MVP is not in the bag yet. If the Bills play well and Allen leads them to a win, he leaves Detroit with the MVP in the bag. If they lose and Josh does so-so, the door swings open for Saquon to have a shot. Tough to go 0-2 in the big late afternoon game two Sunday's in a row while the nation is watching.

I was not Ok with this loss either, but I also wasn't OK with getting physically whipped 35-10 at Baltimore or the Houston debacle.
