  1. I'll be there. The three people I'll be with will be rooting for the Bears. Not me. It's going to be a tough game there is no doubt about it. Can we stop their defensive line? That would a big key.
  2. They look like the real deal but they haven't faced any adversity yet. They played very well against the Seahawks but the week before they did not play well against the Vikings barely getting the victory. This week the Bills offensive line faces their biggest test of the season. Who is going to stop Tommie Harris? I think we need to double team him if we know we are going to pass.
  3. I agree. There is a lot of hype about the Bears right now becuase they have been playing well. They look as if they are going to win their division even though it is week 5. Lets see how they respond when they get their first loss. Maybe it will come this week in an upset.
  4. I think next year you'll see that this is an area that needs to be upgraded. I like Jason Peters at right tackle and I think Melvin Fowler was a good pickup at center.
  5. It is interesting that a few good players in the NFL sometimes speak their minds publically. The truth is, I agree with Pat Williams. The previous five years were downright painful at times. The good thing is, we learned from that. That is in the past and now their is a lot of reason for optimism.
  6. I live in Chicago. Jauron had one good season with the Bears in 2001, but his overall record of 35-46 didn't sit well with a lot of people. To often he was criticized for being to careful in his offensive play calling. I think that after 2001-2002 season he lost some key players, (Ted Washington comes off the top of my head) and didn't capitalize the next year. I think there were some high expectation after the 13-3 season in 2001 and they didn't work out.
  7. Next weeks game is a obviously the important one. Without a win next week and it really doesn't mean anything.
  8. Well at least Chris Collinsworth said something positive tonight on NBC
  9. I thought the big thing this game was that as team the mistakes were kept to a minimum. Miami was the team today making all of the big mistakes. We kept up with them. I thought the pressure on Culpepper was good today. I would like to see that on a regular basis. Great games from Ryan Denney and Donte Whitner today. The defense played well. The offense did what it had to do and really focused a lot on ball control and not turning the ball over. Wills had some nice runs today. I also thought that Gandy held his own on Jason Taylor for the most part. Losman was decent and that is alright as long as he doesn't turn the ball over.
  10. If we can correct half of those list of six for next week we'll be even better than we were this week. I like 1, 2 and six the best to improve at. Today we played a Dick Jauron type of game. Ball control, no turnovers and capitalize on defense. That is going to win more ballgames than I thought we would win this year.
  11. That is some solid optimism and I hope your right, but I don't see it that way. The team today reminded me a lot of last years team which is not what I was expecting to see. Although it is very early, if we keep letting games get away from us and not play the entire 60 minutes, we will lose another close one. That is what I think could happen next week.
  12. Does anyone know if Jim Leonard got picked up by anyone?
  13. If the 4th and 1 play was successful, I am sure that a lot of people would be pleased with the gamble that Jauron took. I agree that the OL play in the second half was not as good as the first and our run defense was average to below average. That first half was solid and at the time there was a lot to be optimistic about.
  14. Adam at that time, were you honestly thinking go for the field goal?
  15. I understood the situation and agreed with Jauron. If we get the first down and get another 7 points, it puts the Patriots into a desperation mode down 17. Maybe we decided at the time to take an all or nothing gamble becuase we were ahead. I think if I was in Jaruron's place I would have done the same thing.
  16. I know the officiating today was not kind to us, but that call stood out the most. I would have liked to have seen where the block in the back was.
  17. I like the Denver game. That one could be an upset. I think taking Denver is a good pick.
  18. Pittsburgh did enough to win the game. Miami had that terrible defensive play that let Heath Miller go the distance with no safety help which didn't make a lot of sense to me other than the fact that it was week 1. Miami hung in there, but Pittsburgh showed everyone why they are the champions.
  19. 34-10 Patriots. I think we'll have a lot to learn from the game.
  20. I think Neufeld gets cut- Cieslak stays.
  21. I don't think that is out of the question. I think 5 wins is about right. I was thinking about 2 or 3. Good thing is we have a lot more going for us than in 2001. We have the players in place to be improved for next season for a possible playoff berth.
  22. I'm with you Inkman. I'm hoping that this doesn't turn out to be one of TD's quarterbacks full of potential but doesn't work out. Have to be optimistic. If he has time to throw, then we'll find out what he's all about.
  23. I agree but I remembering hearing the same thing last year on TBD. Of course we want the Bills to be good, but I think this is going to take time. This year could end up being very similar to 2001 season.
  24. Jim Kelly was a leader. Is JP? That hasn't happened yet. Most of people on this board are exactly right. He has not been getting the job done. This is his year. He knows he has to make the most of his performances. If he doesn't then he won't our quarterback of the future.
  25. I have no problem with Whitner being the type of player that Henry Jones #20 was for us. When Jones was healthy he was a good player.
