I really think that is Jauron's speciality area and he will succeed there. Our secondary this past season was good and Jauron used to be a secondary player himself. This could certainly work out for him and the Eagles.

Well, we have options at this pick and I am not opposed to taking a qb, however the one guy besides Okung who is an excellent football player is Iupoti. If he can make the switch from left guard to left tackle, I am all for taking this as our first round pick. I really think he is going to be an all pro for a lot of his career in the NFL.

It is a difficult call, no question. You could make a case for any of them. Clearly though, on the defensive side it was Bruce Smith.

Strength of character would be my guess. I think its a good move because he might be more intense because that memory does not leave you.

Watching Iupati, I really think he has a chance to be a pro bowler for many years, although I am fairly sure he is a guard. The game I saw him play Bowling Green, he dominated. That is the guy I would want in the 2nd round if we take a quarterback in the first round.

bingo. If he is there at #9, sorry guys who disagree, but if the Bills like him, take him. He becomes our nose tackle (maybe not starting right away Stroud/Williams, but certainly in the future) on the 3-4 defense and can help improve our run defense on the inside instantly.

In Favre's defense, having 12 men in the huddle for a five yeard penalty really hurt at that particular time the play right before. I thought that was uncalled for. It looked as if the Vikings could have had a realistic chance of about a 51 yard field goal because of the dome factor.

I'll fourth that. If you can get a Patrick Willis type of linebacker at this stage in the draft, I am all for it. If we go with Bradford, that is risky and my suggestion is to go out and sign some offensive lineman in free agency, definitely a solid left tackle. Bradford has the makings of a very good quarterback in the NFL, but obviously has gotten hurt a lot in college.

It could be interesting heading into the last week against the Colts at home, who might be playing for an undefeated season.

Time will tell on this one. Although the injury is unfortunate, when he came into the game he just didn't look comfortable in the pocket.

I think I agree with almost everything that you wrote with this post. It is clear that Fred Jackson is a star and it is good that we have him for two more years under contract.

I agree with the offensive tackle as our first pick, but if the quarterback that we really want is there for us, I think we draft him, whoever that maybe. There could be a handful of really good quarterbacks coming out of the upcoming draft.

That is defintely a positive this season. He has played very well as a rookie. Two things stand out from our draft this year. One, we traded up to get Levtre in the second round which has proven to be a good move. The second was also in the second round after the Patriots picked. Our selection if I remember correctly took no more than one minute and I thought it was around 15-30 seconds. That was where we got Byrd, who has been another positive for this season. As for the other picks, it still remains to be seen and it is unfortunate what happened to Wood who looked to be a very good player, but obviously there is potential there.
