Trade Bryce Brown & make a run for FA Mark Ingram.

Replace Brown with Spiller and I could be alright with this concept. -

Trade Bradham and/or Kiko??!!! If that were EVER happened then I would have to seriously question any further alligence to this organization and I have been a die hard for over 4 decades! These are 2 of the best things/players that has happened for us in a long, long time! Omg, I'm heaving just thinking of this idea! As far as Gore goes I could be all in on this suggestion, especially the working relationship with Roman. Not only is Gore a champion RB but his heart is as big, if not bigger than anyone on this whole roster and that includes Fred, who I happen to admire very much. -
The Bills should grab whatever they can get for Brown. Now that Rex is in the house RBs would love to play under him, the guy loves to run the ball. Ingram is only 25 years old and would be a great successor to Fred. I would love to see this on the roster for 2015, Ingram as a starter, Spiller as a change of pace, Fred a 3rd down RB and Dixon for short yardage/ST.

I saw a good portion of the 2nd half today and Manning just doesn't look good. He didn't have any zip on the ball and 10 yard passes looked like he labored. I believe that he wasn't healthy and hasn't been for quite some time now. Ever since the St Louis game in Week #11 Manning only had one 300+ yard (31 yds) game and that was against Cincinnati in Week #16. In both games the Broncos lost and had to pass so I take those 2 games' stats with a grain of salt. In the St Louis game he took some hard shots and I'm starting to think that either in that game or in the next week's game against the Dolphins he might of got injured. He hasn't played or looked the same since that time. Manning is going to be 39 next year and will be owed 19M if he is on the roster. After today's game he was non committal about his future and stated that certain things could have a bearing on what he would want to do. If he is unwilling to restructure I wonder what the Broncos would do. That's an awful lot of money to pay an aging star QB, especially if there's a coaching change and a difference in philosophy. IF, and that's a big if, he were to become available and isn't injured to where he couldn't perform adequately, I would to see Buffalo wrap him up. He would be perfect for what we would need and I believe that we would be a perfect fit for him. Expecting us to be a power run offense and a top 5 defense under Rex all Manning, with his cerebral ability, would have to do is be a smart field general who wouldn't have to throw the ball all over the place. Fortify our OL and Buffalo would be an ideal team for Manning, barring weather of course but I guess that you can't have everything. Furthermore, if EJ is ever going to make it as a QB then what better mentor to learn from than Manning?

SF FA guard Mike Iupati (update: going to Cardinals)
Tipster19 replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope that the Bills make a run at him in free agency, especially if Greg Roman ends up being the new OC. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/nfl/5763/mike-iupati -
Head Coach candidate: Hue Jackson
Tipster19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
According to Pat Kirwan today on Sirius radio blurted out that Hue Jackson had a great interview in the last couple of days with a team that he would not name. He went on about it pretty good and said the team really liked Jackson. Could that team possibly be the Bills? I don't know what other teams Jackson might have interviewed with in the last 2 days. Any information is appreciated. -
Redskins make potentially brilliant GM hire...
Tipster19 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not so sure about this. First off it was Seattle's OC Darrell Bevell who put his name on the line for the 'Hawks to draft Russell Wilson. The second point is, if I'm not mistaken, is AJ Smith is in the mix over there in Washington's front office. He's expected to get an expanded role. When it comes to evaluating talent Smith is no slouch. It was rumored that if Polian came onboard with the Bills, Smith was expected to be the new GM. Couple that with bringing Frank Reich as the HC and we would of had a good old fashion 20 year reunion. -
Ex Syracuse assistant coach rips Marrone.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Granted the quarterbacking is weak but I feel that some of the players on the OL regressed under Marrone's watch. The guy is a former OL so why is that? Players make a difference but so do coaches. I don't feel that Marrone made that much a difference this past season. If anything the guy ran a local kid out of town and benched players that could have contributed, especially on such a weak offense imo. When does the coaching come into play here? -

For the most part our offense and OL sucked, especially in the red zone, one of the worse in the league. I wonder, who gets the lion's share for that?? -

Whoa, I'm not trying to get the last word with you or disagree with what you're saying. All I'm doing is expressing that I don't like the guy and stating my opinion. I meant no disrespect to you for your input. -

While what you say may be true but it doesn't change my persception of Marrone. Everything that Casullo said is what I think of Marrone from his time as the Bills' HC. He strikes me as a thin skinned arrogant SOB. It burns my ass that this ahole gets 4M from the Bills just to walk away after what I perceive him under accomplishing this last season. In hindsight though if that's what it takes to get rid of him then I guess it's worth it then. There were a few games where we were lucky to win and a couple of them that we lost that very unfortunate (Houston & KC). When it was all said and done we were a .500 team. We have been hovering around that mark forever and a day. The only difference in this team from our past teams is this year we were a top defense! I give more credit to Schwartz than Marrone for that. Our offense at times were downright embarrassing, so what did Marrone accomplish here other than fleecing 4M??! If anything the guy brought some dissension to this franchise. -

Oops, sorry CBF, I didn't mean to hijack you! Mods, please close or delete, this is being discussed already in another thread. -

The Two Faces of Doug Marrone
Tipster19 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His insincerity was been brought into question more than once. This makes him DD in my eyes, I don't go for phonies, you can't trust them. Marrone is a great example of this theory. -

You bring up a good point Kelly. When Polian was advocating COY for Marrone, was some of it because Polian is biased towards Buffalo? I wonder..... -
Bills may be trying to sign Bradham to extension
Tipster19 replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the news I've heard yet but only if it happens. Rose hays makes me nervous. Bradham is the one that I want the Bills to re-sign more than any other player. -
Did Marrone Actively Undermine Doug Whaley?
Tipster19 replied to Yoli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I must admit you bring up some good points to ponder but I must say that if there is any truth to this then I wish that Marrone could have been half this smart in his plotting of the game plans because he showed **** for creativity. I just wanted to tell you that I think that you're a great poster and I enjoy reading your posts and responses. -
Me personally I'd like an open field stadium. I like that later in the season that the weather makes a difference. To me it keeps football old school and and how it was originally meant to be played. Unfortunately the almighty dollar might make a difference here, especially if the Pegulas have designs on hosting a Super Bowl, if that could ever be a possibility.
-
The chips are down and either Whaley rises to the challenge of gets totally exposed, I choose the former. It's easy for some, at least me, to overlook that we do have an administration intact, regardless if we like them or not. Honestly I happen to like our administrators for the most part. Brandon is loyal and Whaley has made good, bold moves, some bad as well. We need a coach first off and there's a couple of scenarios that could be good, solid moves. The first one is the speculation of Frank Reich for HC. He would make a lot of sense in many ways and I could be all or this but only if as Schwartz & Co (the current defensive coaches) would be willing to stay. The alternative to me would be to promote as hwartz to HC and Pepper Johnson to DC. I mentioned in another post that I would love to get Mike Munchak for OC. Between the Schwartz/Titans connection and Munchak currently a OL coach over in Pittsburgh this's hiring would make a ton of sense. The wildcard in all these scenarios is the Pegulas. Not knowing if they want any of our current personnel is what needs to be known before any of us can determine how we feel about the state of the Bills.

I don't know what is really going on behind the scenes but if what Polian said was the reason(s) why he didn't come aboard then I feel a little bit betrayed. The franchise is in a very vulnerable position and he doesn't want to be a part of the solution??! It's not like Ralph is around and would handle anything, right or wrong, that would come up. We got a brand new owner with no NFL experience or know how to face the adversaries that are facing us. I wouldn't want to be a teammate to a guy that would run and hide because there was too much "heavy lifting" to be done. I'm very disappointed to say the least by this philosophy. I have always been appreciative to Polian for all that he accomplished with this franchise but for him to say the things that he said I don't feel that he is a true Buffalo guy. By his own admission he said that that Pegula treated him with the utmost respect and as far as the money goes I can't imagine that ESPN is paying him more than he would of gotten from the Bills. Anyways we don't need him, either you're for us or you're against us. From what I'm hearing and reading I don't think that I can ever feel the same about Polian unless something else comes to the surface and justify why he wouldn't be all in for this franchise. At this time I have lost a lot of interest in his upcoming induction to the HOF. Like what Tim Russert would often refer to as a Bills' fan, you can knock us down but we're gonna get back up. A true Bills' fan doesn't abandon you, they stay loyal through thick or through thin, just ask Scott Norwood. In his darkest day as a player this fanbase embraced him because that's the way it's suppose to be. As of now I feel abandoned. I wonder what Tim would think and say about all this if he was still around. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Through-generations-of-Russerts-Bills-legacy-lives-on/e874ca71-f3b9-43a4-9a4d-7e4f79273bd3

Does Terry Pegula Have A Clear Strategic Plan?
Tipster19 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not quite sure what the answer is but from being getting stabilzed this franchise is all of a sudden becoming quite a mess once again. Not only do we have internal fighting going on but apparently we now have former alumni turning their backs on us! Marrone is a snively, whiny little B word if you ask me. I fought that a lot of past hirings were bad but this one might be the worse evler! -
I'll get right to the point. I would like to see Schwartz get promoted to HC and Pepper Johnson to DC, under Schwartz's tutelage. The defense hasn't been the problem, the offense has been. While the QB position still poses quite a problem the OL hasn't helped. I think that Mike Munchak would make a lot of sense on many levels for OC. He's a former Oiler/Titan and has worked with Schwartz in Tennessee. Being a former OL, OL coach and HC is a great resume. I realize that EJ is no Steve McNair but both are athletic, mobile QBs and Munchak has been exposed to this type of QB as in Spiller being like a Chris Johnson type RB. Meaning that we could be playing to our players' strengths instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round whole. In the draft we should then be looking for a Eddie George type RB. One last thing, Munchak was a big OL and played on one as well. This all the personel type players that we currently have, let's utilize them.

I knew that the Jets had Charlie Casserly as an consultant but what I didn't know until this article is that he's a big advocate of Marrone, dating back to his Syracuse days and that the Jets also have former GM/football guru/future HOFer Ron Wolf. http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=new-yorkjets&id=48126&city=newyork&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B%22ref%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2Fg32AHTuZbf%22%7D I have seen and read the potential negative speculations of the Bills securing Bill Polian in some kind of capacity. I don't believe that he would use this opportunity to incorporate his son into the organization just for personal reasons and that he's "out of touch" in today's NFL and it's going ons. Instead we are VERY fortunate to have someone who not only truly loves the Buffalo Bills' franchise and has their best intentions in his heart, and there's not too many of them around, but also to be one of the greatest minds as a NFL administrator. Who better than to counter not one but two former GMs that are consultants that are right smack dab in the middle of our own division??! Don't fear Polian, embrace him! The influences and connections that Polian has is priceless. Polian has clout, he has clout with all levels of football people, all the way up to the Commissioner's office. God bless the Pegulas but they are new to all of this, they could sure use the knowledge, experience and insights of a man like Bill Polian. It's almost like Ralph is reaching from the grave one more time. I don't think anyone from anywhere could ever question the love and passion that Mr. Wilson had for this franchise and Bill Polian is a DIRECT bridge from that man. This is a fraternity, a fraternity long before most of us and it will be one long after us. It's about relationships from Ralph to Bill to the Pegulas to whoever from them. Not only am I fully confident that Polian will right the ship for the present but he will also help educate and insulate the Pegulas for the future and the generations that follow. At least that's the way that I see it.
