I'm president of the I like everybody that is a fan or plays for or has anything to do with the bills allaince, and also an active poster on the fixing the offense committee. I'm also member of the lurker club since I usually only post around draft time each year. A member of the draft guru club. And a member of the really believes he could be a great GM in the NFL club. Hello fellow members... That is my favorite club Trent Supporter, JP apologist, and Dicky J lover.... Season ticket holder Bills Fan! Addict! Supporter and Billiever -
There is so much more behind what you say... I agree totally. It has to do with lack of talent.

I think that the writer of this particular article understands that the offense is the defense's problem. Now most of the active posters on this board are the ones that need to be reminded that the defense was tired because the offense couldn't sustain drives. Greer seems to be the odd man out at the stadium wall. The James signing meant absolutely nothing to most. And despite all the initial clamour with the signing of Stroud, Mitchell, and Johnson most seem to think that adding a defensive player in rd 1 will generate more wins. That is crazy talk. But its everywhere. I haven't even forgotten that POZ, KO, KELSEY, and DENNEY misses significant time. Seriously, how much could adding any defensive rookie help in the win loss category this year? I can honostly say that a 6-4 to 6-6 wr would instantly improve our third down and red zone offense. So much that I believe that the Bills would win the 2-3 more games that it takes to make the playoffs. Good luck finding one in rd 2 or 3 cause just as big a need is TE and I hope that the Bills brass doesn't forget how bad Royal is. Much like most fans seem to forget how good Greer and McGee are. Oh yeah, we signed some James guy too... I heard he is pretty good. Of course some will say he's not. Just like Schobel, Kelsay, and Denney suck, or whatever other slang word for not Bruce Smith.

http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/21672.html Its becoming very hard to renew season tickets with an offense this boring. Fix it!

Although I do see the importance of it... Since I am a fan, and I want to see the Bills score more than once a game. I don't want to use the #11 pick on defense. We have significantly upgraded the defense just by getting our healthy players back. Then added some good players to an already decent group. The offense on the other hand didn't get anybody good back from injury and we added nobody. At all. The worst offense in franchise history adds nobody. As long as we draft offense I don't care who it is. Hopefully it is somebody that can score 8-12 td a year because potentially we have Lynch, Evans, and nobody. This is the most pathetic offense I've ever ever seen. It would make me very sad to bank on a 2, 3, or 4th rd pick to be a difference maker. We desperately need a difference maker on offense.

I've been thinking about this for quite some time now. On defense, the Bills have tons of good athletes with a lot of experience. Especially for being relatively young players in the nfl. This creates a really good competition at almost every position. The coaching staff isn't afraid to use our players in packages that will utilize thier abilities. I expect that even with the addition of Mitchell we will still see a lot of DiGorgio, and Ellison in third and long situations. THis team has no holes in the secondary. Scott, Wendling, and Wilson are a great fit to backup starters Donte and Ko. Wilson may even push Ko into a backup role which would be great. I'm loving the 3 safety package with Donte, Ko and Wilson. At LB we have a 2 backup lb that are great in pass coverage but not so physical in run support. That is great, they fit in the dime, nickel and quarter packages great to keep our starters healthy and fresh to defend the run. CB isn't such a big problem because Greer played great last year. The addition of James combined with the continued developement of Youboty and King leaves us in great position. So as far as the defense is concerned all we need is a Animal rushing the passer and we could potentially be dominant, dangerous, and disastrous. I can realistically wait to address that need just because the face that we signed Kelsay to a pretty decent contract and the addition of stroud and johnson just might help our ends realize thier potential statisticly.

I think we still could use more depth at LB...

This is a hilarious poll. Its not even worth talking about because there is no way that there won't be a wr in the top 5 on our draft board available when the bills pick. The very best wr in this draft will be available at #11. Are you seriously tryng to say that after 10 picks the top wr is ranked 27th best player available. Name 27 players better than Sweed, Kelly, Hardy, Thomas. -
I would be on board with the drafting of Harvey in rd1 but I'd rather have a few different guys. Harvey is good, if not great. He is not a freak, it would be nice to have a freak to come in and dominate his position for a long time. Guys that in my opinion deserve to be a top ten draft pick. Vernon Gholston, Glenn Dorsey, Sedrick Ellis, James Hardy, Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, Darren McFadden, Jake Long, Chris Long, Quentin Groves, Mike Jenkins. I honestly think that Hardy has put his character issues behind him and is going to be the best wr in the NFL at some point in his career. He does a weekly spot on sirius radio. Very smart man. Very humble. To me, he is clearly the secret of this draft. My dream draft: trade down with Detroit give them Losman, 5th rd pick, and our 1st for their 1st and 2nd. 15 James hardy http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile...rospect_ID=1246 42 Fred Davis http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile...rospect_ID=1227 46 Lawrence Jackson http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile...rospect_ID=1224 73 Mike Pollack http://walterfootball.com/draft2008_3.php 111 Josh Johnson http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile...rospect_ID=1283 after that I'd like to fill the special teams holes whith best player avialable at lb, OT, fb

Let me start by saying I'm totally on board with this being "our year". I feel like this is the year that the Bills contend for the division. Yes, I said it. CONTEND FOR THE DIVISION... For this to happen some big questions need to be answered. I'd like to try and figure out what those questions are, and I'l love to hear everybodys additions and opinions and perhaps some of the things I think need to be answered are already answered... 1. I'll start with a big one, its not even about the Bills. Will Bill Belicheat be coaching in the NFL next season? I know, he was already punished to the tune of 500000 dollars and the loss of a 1st rd pick. But if Matt Walsh has some serious dirt (Which I think he does), the patriots organization could be in big trouble. Roger Goodell isn't gonna take being lied to very nicely. I'll leave it at that. 2. Who is the starting qb? Another question that some will argue is already answered. I'm not totally convinced. Especially if Losman didn't even have the ability to audible at the line. Sounds to me like the blame for Losmans underdevelopement could be put on about 4 shoulders including mainly his own. It is very clear to me that Losman's physical abilities far outweigh Trents. I am a Trent fan. I wish we could have Trents size and brain, combined with Losmans arm strength athletic abillity. Its not out of the realm of possibility that Losman wins the starting job, gets tagged, and traded for a 1st, or is the Bills long term solution at qb. Or that Trent continues to progress, turns into the next Joe Montana, and leads us to 4 superbowl titles... 3. Has this team shaken the injury bug? 17 players on IR last year set a NFL record... 4. Is the addition of helmet microphones in the defensive captains helmet going to restore the competitive balance in the AFC east. It just goes to show you what cheating for 5 years straight will teach you about opposing defenses. Like, where they are not going to be in certain coverages. Combined with knowing the other teams signals makes for a very potent offense. 5. Is Dick Jauron capable of allowing Turk to open up the offense? It is clear that coach Dicky J has a history of conservative offenses. I for one think that they could really use some cojones when calling plays. I could go on all day but i'd like to hear everyones opinion so I'll stop here. Add some more later...

I agree with almost everything you said. The only thing I see different is the Bills Needs. In my opinion they are in order: WR, TE, WR, FB, interior OL (future center), CB depth, LB depth, and OT depth I would draft in that order

Who thinks drafting a CB in 1st is pass D priority?
DreamOnDan replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree with some of this. I for one think that the "big" boards that you are looking at are mainly put together by gurus that understand each teams needs. If any one of the top 10 drafting teams needed a WR more than anything else, they would be ranking whoever they thought would be getting drafted there a top 10 talent. Its just the way it goes outside of the top 3-5 players. What you should start to look at is these guys body of work. Answer this: Why don't you think that there is a wr worth the 11th pick? It certainly isn't because there isn't a guy with talent. Limus Sweed and James Hardy each have uber talent. So the answer is most likely because some draft chart has 4 cb ranked ahead of any wr. Mainly because they evaluated what they think the team needs are, and then ranked players based on these opinions. Mainly, what I'm saying is that the Bills board and the "big" board are completely different. Probably not even close. -

I think that Montana, Hasselbeck, and Brady are about as close as it gets in comparing Trent to established NFL stars. -
Me too. As long as the Bills draft Gholston, Long, DRC, Ellis, or Dorsey. I don't have anybody else higher on the draft board if I'm the Bills.
