  1. Thats an interesting question.. If you look around the NFL, the first thing that comes to mind is the consistently in which the good teams draft well... What I mean by well is that they draft solid contributers in the later rounds, and Pro Bowlers in the top rounds. That being said, there is a ton of talented players in the draft. Therefore; as many picks as possible would make the most sense to me. One thing for certain, is that last year Buffalo drafted very very well in rds 3-7. Assuming Youboty earns the starting cb role. I doubt that our front office views that as an abberation. My opinion is that they believe that this is possible each and every year. I'd love to see Calvin Johnson in Blue and Red this year. But is there anybody else in this draft that is worth losing 2-3 potential starting football players for? When there is a possibility of Peterson falling to us, I don't believe its a smart decision to trade up quite yet. If anything, I'm all for trading down far enough to aquire an extra 2nd rd pick.
  2. I definately agree that we can expect the unexpected...
  3. Who might that lucky millionare be? One guy that I really like and seems to fit the mold of a blue collar Buffalonian- Paul Puzlusny - I wouldn't mind at all reaching up to grab this guy assuming Willis is gone by pick 12. Another guy that fits our defense is Shaw the other OLB from PSU. His stock is rising and he could be grabbed as high as rd 2 or slip to rd 3 by the time the draft starts... I'd like to see Puz, bush, and shaw be our top 3 picks. Not so sure who goes 2nd rd and who goes 3rd rd...
  4. Yeah, its been a while since I posted... I had to delete my signature when I read my post! Lol
  5. The way this draft is stacked, It seems as most of the top players rated don't actually fall into place with the top positional needs for each team drafting in front of us. Looking at the top 10 players rated, I think there is a good chance that someone of great physical ability falls our way... Who do you guys think it might be? And who would you be salivating over to fall on draft day? Personally, I am holding out this thin hope that we trade Willis and TKO then somehow trade up to get Johnson. It looks like he could be nabbed at #4. I haven't followed the draft as much as the last couple years, so I was wondering who you guys think might be that guy who slips- that we are either pumped to have landed or pissed we passed on...
  6. I haven't missed a game in 8 years baby!!!!! I like our chances this week too
  7. I disagree with the comments on Sam not wanting to take up two defenders... At NT you don't just sit there and get blocked.. He is excellent at shooting the gaps which is all he needs to do most of the time- if eating up two blockers is the primary concern then sam is the man. When you watch Casey Hampton play NT he gets up field and wrecks havoc as he penetrates a gap. It is the play call on defense which dictates which gap. Now for the De's containing the edge... I have unlimited confidence that Schobel can do what he needs to and be very succesfull at whatever the Bills ask of him. I also think that Ryan Denney would be a nice LE in a 3/4 scheme. But if we drafted a Tamba Hali. Now we would have the necessary men to fill out a solid 3/4 D line. He is very powerful and large enough to contain the erdge, while quick enough to coolapse the pocket in passing situations. I think that something is brewing at One Bills drive and it seems to make sense that if changes are immenent this could be an easy transition for our quick defense.
  8. Anybody hope that DJ will bring a 3/4 defense to the Bills next year? What I'm seeing is four linebackers who all can play with incredible speed and a very large powerful DT in Sam Adams. Crowell played ILB in college and his play picked up tremendously by the end of the year. We can Send Posey off the edge more often since he is a better pass rusher than Kelsay, and thrived as Houstons edge rusher in the 3/4... The NFL is built on speed and trading off a bannan/anderson/edwards for a Crowell makes a lot of sense to me. I also don't think that the Bills paid Crowell so much money to be a backup. The real question is can Schobel and Kelsay do their respective jobs containing the edge in this type of defense?
  9. It may be because I have Willis as my RB in fantasy, but why the passing on 3rd and 2... and who the F is Shaud Williams going to run over? When MM puts Shaud in there it is obvious that we are passing, but my big thing is... Well is he a better blocker? My guess is no way. Is he a better reciever? My guess is no way. Does he leave the defense guessing what we are about to do? My guess is no way. Does he give Willis a breather? Yes. But does Willis need this breather? My guess is no way. Comon Mike, Use our "best back in the nfl." You know what makes me the sickest is... In the 1st 4 weeks, when JP was in there they threw the ball on 1st 2nd 3rd down all freakin game and what do you expect? He is a rookie. I can't even bear to watch the Bears. Its like they took what I thought was Buffalo Bills football and turned it into Chicago Bears football. But the thing is they don't have a Willis McGahee, an Eric Moulds or a Lee Evans. They win and win with nobody? You can't tell me that Orton is better than JP... or is he? Thomas Jones? comon defense! Oh man I could go on forever but I am the optimist and I do believe that we can pull out winning this division. But its not going to happen without McGahee getting 30-35 carries a game!
  10. I know this probably has been beaten to death but what is the deal with Mike Williams and the O Line? I have been going to all the home games and man is this unit bad. Do you think that Big Mike is gonna be cut? My guess is yes... he makes so much loot and now he isn't even starting right? Jason Peters is something to look forward to but I don't see him as a RT. I'd put him in for Gandy before Williams, I just don't get it! Willis McGahee has been running up the backs of our line for too long... How's everybody's fantasy teams doing? Its funny to say but our best offensive lineman has been Trey Teague and all of us were calling for him to be cut this offseason, or restructured. I jsut don't like what I'm seeing out there. Bad chemistry or something. What do you all think?
  11. I'll be there...
  12. I'm pretty excited about our line as it is. Screw getting Shelton! We already have an average Lt with Trey Teague. Teague is quicker and smarter. I like the line as: LT: Teague LG: Anderson C: Tucker RG: Villarial RT: Williams I love the power and intensity of the interior line. Big Mike is coming into his own and coach Mac is doing wonders in Mularkey's system. I think that Teague is a perfect fit at LT, he has the quickness and smarts to hang with the Jason Taylors, Richard Seymores, and John Abrahams of the AFC. I think that the perfect scenario would be to wait till draft day... If arizona drafts a CB in the first as they should, we offer Travis and our 4th for their second rd pick. Draft a Chris Spencer or David Baas. Who would be paid much less than Shelton's 3 mill per year contract. Then we have a decent pick to take the best player available. We jump all over Clarett in the 3rd because that's how TD rolls. and somehow Nugent falls to the 5th rd. THat would be a dream draft.
  13. See Peyton Manning, see Donovan McNabb, See Dan Marino, see Ben Roethlisberger, See Dante Culpepper, see Steve McNair, see, see, see that it doesn't matter
  14. So exactly how many years would you sit J.P.?
  15. Playbook? Playbook? Oh, that is what "ready" means. Oh I feel so much better. I was really racking the brain on what this ready talk is. Playbook, ha you have got to be kidding. He memorized the playbook before his first practice. Just like every single other NFL player.
  16. Does anybody actually think that he needs to be "ready"? First off what the heck is ready anyway? To me, ready is...... Does he have 2 feet?, Can he throw the ball? Is there anything going on under that Cali-surfer haircut of his? Other than that what matters? There is no doubt that he is going to make rookie mistakes. Sitting on the sidelines isn't going to change that. The fact of the matter is that J.P. cost the Bills a 1st, 2nd, and 5th rd pick. THat is a lot! That is the kind of price you pay for Jim Kelly. The only way that J.P. doesn't start is if Bledsoe had a season better than ever, ever, that is right ever. Even Drew Bledsoe in his prime wasn't worth a 1st, 2nd, and 5th. I don't really know what is going on but I was just thinking about the business aspects of football. Bledsoe is GONE!
  17. Hey, I'm all for it. Every Bills site I get on has a different article about how Bledsoe will most likely be cut by his March 1st bonus date. Anybody know how much truh there is to these statements? The general consensous is that it is hard to believe that Losman can't at least perform to the level of Bledsoe over the last two years. I agree. I'm very curious to know everyones opinion on the matter. Also, what kind of money does that save us? Or hurt us?
  18. My bad he is the Idiot kicker, not the drunk kicker. Apparently the Colts really are talking about releasing him. Although Buffalo isn't talking about signing him. Yes, I am dreaming a little, but if he is released Buffalo has to be at the top of the list of teams looking for a GOOD kicker.
  19. I'm not sure if this will work because It is my fantasy football site but on the right part of the page you can find both the Pollard, Vanderjact stories.http://sparg.football.sportsline.com/
  20. I'll find it again hold on...
  21. Apparently the drunk kicker ran his mouth again. The Colts are said to be tire of his mouth and he could be released. If Buffalo could nab this guy up, I would already become optimistic about next year.
  22. Marcus Pollard is due to make 4.5 million this season and will surely be released unless he takes a huge paycut. He is no longer the #1 option in Indy.
  23. If Moulds played for NE, you would think he was garbage. He dropped more passes this year than he did in his career. He isn't fast enough to run by defenders. He can't seem to come down with those one on one balls anymore. He dropps way to many passes to be the possesion guy. Get a wr that has some hands and let Evans stretch the field, he is ready. Later Eric, hopefully next year I'll be watching the Willis McGahee show. Moulds is capable of putting up great numbers if you pass the ball alot. We don't and won't be. Use the money on a great TE.
