  1. Who made fun? I have been watching the recaps on NFL Network and they only had good things to say about Chan? I agree, Mathews looks good. As for Miller, I was sickened to hear Nix say he is happy with our OLBs, but we need several ILBs. Miller plays outside so I dont think theyd look to him.
  2. I was actually thinking the same thing today. Though I have to admit that I didn't feel that way in the first half. If Fitz plays as well as he has been playing the past few weeks I think he is more than capable of being our QB in the rebuilding progress and we could focus on drafting some actual talent on Defense.
  3. I actually noticed him on a couple of plays. Was really happy to see him active.
  4. I would never want this team to lose or root against them
  5. We need RT, not a LT. and putting LT at #2 is simply ludicrous.
  6. Thank you! Pass rush in a 3-4 is generated from the OLB position. Ours are terrible. We need 2 OLBs and a DE. The Defensive front 7 is weak because our LBs consistently get caught up on the line and don't generate a pass rush. Also, our ILBs need to do a much better job stuffing the run. I haven't been very impressed with Dwan Edwards this year so we could definitely use at least one DE, but not before round 3 IMO. If Luck is gone I would prefer they go OLB, QB, DE, RT
  7. I agree. The guy has been money for us. I'm not going to run him out of town for missing 2 kicks.
  8. Though the incident is unfortunate, that visual was quite funny. An Olineman basically carried him off by lifting him by the horsecollar region of his uniform. Kind of looked like a puppy getting carried around by the scruff of his neck.
  9. +1. I thought he was too big of a project for us to undertake, but he is proof positive that you can still find gems in the rough. he has been playing VERY well. Well enough that RT is probably the only position of severe need on the Oline.
  10. I agree. I haven't liked him at LB, but he did well at his natural position, more proof that we didnt have the personnel to go to a 3-4. Good game.
  11. I can see that, but the conversion could have been handled better. Rather than scrap the 4=3 and taking what decent players we had on D and playing them out of position for most of the game, we could have simply installed more 3=4 packages and lessened the effect we have been seeing from people playing positions unfamiliar to them. If we had the LBs to switch to a 3=4, I would understand the overnight switch, but not with the personnel we have. It seems like the only person who theoretically would benefit from the switch is Maybin and he can't even play himself onto the active roster. I know schemes are generally an abrupt switch because a new coordinator comes in and wants to install their system, but in this case it may have been better to make the transition a 2 year process. Though that's just my opinion and I could be making little football sense for all I know.
  12. I agree. Moats has been a happy surprise, especially being drafted as late as he was. I have also been quite happy with Coleman's contributions
  13. Your self-righteous pontificating managed to drag down what had been up to this point a largely constructive thread. I put it that it is posters like you, who respond with their gut and post knee jerk reactions rather than actually read what is said that drag down this board. My recommendation: if you don't like the thread, close it and read another one.
  14. The defense was not fine, as evidenced by the score. Hypothesizing about what didn't happen is not constructive. Lindell should have made that FG, how about our ST should have scored a TD at home... it's all an exercise in futility.
  15. I have family living abroad. Where can I find that? I'd like to buy it for my pops.
  16. I think that may be a bit misguided. though I agree fully that Ralph is THE reason we have been this bad for so long, Modrak is owed plenty of blame. Ralph, as dementia-riddled as he is, still likes to surround himself with "his" guys. I am now actually starting to understand why Mularkey quit, he knew coaching here with this organizational structure was a losing proposition because of Ralph. Modrak is a joke who has kept his job because of his friendship with Ralph. He has been here through Donohoe, Levy, the failed "no GM' phase with Russ Brandon and now Nix, to think Nix is the reason he is here is a bit naive. He has his job because of Ralph.
  17. I agree that the sentiment is asinine. You play to win, not for a draft pick. Why would you want your team to lose the rest of its games when you are halfway through the season. I could see the thought if it were the last week of the season and a win would knock you down to 2, even though I would hate it.
  18. You should note I am talking about Modrak, not the coaching staff. They are correctly playing the best guys they can find.
  19. I tried listening to them twice. Probably the worst shows I have heard in ANY format.
  20. Some games gets replayed, but cut up for time on the NFL network.
  21. I only care about #1 if Luck declares. If he doesn't I am fine drafting 2-4
  22. He's tight with Maybin- enough said
  23. Yes, they did improve a lot today.. by playing the majority of the game in 4-3. It took 8 games for Edwards to realize you can't shove a square peg into a round hole.
