Kuechly comes in, where does he play and what does that do to Shep. Can one of them shift over to SAM?
-
I'll reserve judgement until we see 1- How Kyle looks upon his return 2- The progress of Carrington and Troup- I am really hoping these 2 take a big step forward in their 3rd year, but who knows. If they do, we have a solid DT rotation of William, Dareus, Heard, Troup and Carrington can start at RDE opposite Williams with Kelsay spelling Williams. Why haven't we cut Dwan Edwards yet?

They belong to us. If another team came in and offers them a contract, we have the right to match the offer. If we don't match the offer, we get their 3rd rd draft pick.

My thoughts on our first 3 picks
ndirish1978 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our CBs are old and we're not re-signing McKelvin next year when his rookie contract ends. So, we're gonna need to pick up at least 2 CBs in this offseason. -
Take the highest rated LB and then move guys around to make it work. He's listed as inside, but I don't care where we put him. Shep can compete with Morrison for the SAM http://www.bceagles.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/kuechly_luke00.html

I think it'll be Carrington

What about Demetrius Bell?
ndirish1978 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. It sounds like we're telegraphing the pick here. We didn't re-sign our starter and the GM came out and said Hairston is a "start down the line" kind of guy. Looks like Hairston will be a swing tackle and they're going to draft Martin. Not a very sexy pick, but if we get a guy who can start for the next 10 years, I'm good with it. 2-4 are probably CB DE OLB CB. We need multiple CBs to groom this year cause all we have for the future is Williams. Florence and McGee are getting old and McKelvin probably won't be re-signed once his rookie contract is up at year's end if he's expecting big money. -
WTH are the Dolphins thinking?
ndirish1978 replied to Bud Adams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Make way for the Miami Dolfelons at the position of perennial bottom-dwellers of the AFC East. The team is quickly gaining a terrible reputation, going after 3 people publicly (2 coaches and Manning) and losing out has their fan base fuming. Now, they are reportedly trying to low-ball Flynn, thinking he'll take a smaller offer WHILE VISITING SEATTLE in order to sign with Philbin, his former coordinator. I truly hope that he signs with Seattle and Tanenhill goes before the Dolphins' pick, leaving them with not QB of the future. Perception is everything in signing free agents. Buffalo has been taking major steps at shaking the perception of being a franchise in disarray and it looks like Miami is taking up that public mantle and running with it. Here's to them becoming the new Raiders East! -
Can someone list the top 4 RDEs in the draft?

Buffalo has talked to Mario Manningham- Per shefter

Why is this still a sticky. Nix said we never contacted Manningham and he just said on PFT that we're out of the FA receiver business -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill

This thread should never be unstuck -
We will not be drafting a GUARD in the first round. I have heard 2 different teams with late 1st rounders say Hightower is their guy. Hill will be gone at least by the 2nd round with the combine he had. I wouldn't like this draft at all. AND ou have us taking not 1 but TWO guards? Pass.

There's no way we get swept by the Sanchize HOME Miami Dolphins - WIN New York Jets - WIN New England Patriots - LOSS Jacksonville Jaguars - WIN Tennessee Titans - WIN St. Louis Rams - WIN Kansas City Chiefs - LOSS Seattle Seahawks - WIN AWAY Houston Texans - LOSS Indianapolis Colts - WIN San Francisco 49ers - LOSS Arizona Cardinals - WIN Cleveland Browns - WIN New York Jets - LOSS New England Patriots - LOSS Miami Dolphins - WIN I could see 10-6. Most likely we drop one to Seattle or Tennessee and go 9-7. Who are the 5 idiots who think we're getting LESS than 4 wins this season?

Silverlight is a terrible plugin. PFT live is a drag on my laptop and it's a really nice computer. But I digress. I am now confident we're not looking at WR in the early rounds. We need a franchise LT, 1 CB, 2 LBs 1-2 DEs. I guess we're looking for WRs later in the draft.

Do the Bills need to trim any of this?
ndirish1978 replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP lost all credibility with me the moment I saw Wilson's name on the list. Edwards should be gone, we won't cut any of the others. Florence will either have to be cut next year or restructure his contract -
Well, you can look at it (like every other negative thing in life) in one of two ways: 1- we deserve some basic respect because the media gives it to everyone else, give it to us! 2- Screw the media. We can't force them to love us. The only way to get them to stop ignoring us is to be so good they have to talk about us.

Is Schobel considering coming out of retirement?
ndirish1978 replied to NishP's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe the issue is the likelihood of being productive after a 2 year retirement. Don't see it happening. -
I suppose what bothered me is that he didn't even bother to respond to our contract offer. Bell came into this league as a VERY raw prospect and the Bills held onto him and developed him and gave him a shot as a starter. My only real bone with him is the lack of loyalty in not responding to the contract offer. I understand testing free agency to see what your value is, I just take issue with the way he went about it. You're right though, the comment was a bit bombastic. Of course I would want him back under the right circumstances. But, I don't think he's a franchise LT. Martin may or may not be a franchise LT, I don't know. I'd rather have Bell around to allow us some freedom in the draft though. I wouldn't sign him for anything over 4 though.

I'm still buzzing about signing Williams. Started thinking about the draft now. Are we forced to go LT now that we've relieved some pressure from acquiring a pass rush (I'd still like 2 more DL bought in via the draft)? The consensus here before Mario was some form of Floyd/Mercillus/Ingram/Coples/Martin. Should I narrow that down to just Martin now? I don't see a starting caliber LT on our roster at present. Hairston needs more time to develop. On another note, I'm salty about Bell even looking to FA. We picked him up in the 7th and developed him into a decent LT. He hasn't played a full season at LT for us and he decides to walk and take the money. I honestly don't even want him back now.

How long is it gonna take for them to put the presser on bb.com?
