Per Carucci, Bills now leaning toward cutting Taylor

Agreed. This is state-sponsored radio. They use that show to help prep fans for the narrative they're going to push once moves get made. -
Agreed. You don't get better drafting for need. There is always a VERY vocal group who believes we should trade back with every single pick. It takes two to tango. Sure, I'd love to trade our 10 for 14 and a second rounder. I'd also like to trade back in the 2nd and pick up a later 2nd round pick for our efforts, but this is a pipe dream without teams willing to trade. This is a super deep draft, EVERYONE would like to move back and pick up extra picks.

This is the kind of mentality that will keep us from winning a championship. Let's work our way to the middle! -
Can I refreshingly post about Whaley's incompetence?

I'm done with this guy. Perhaps it would be best if we all stopped feeding the troll? -
Very interesting "Tyrod/Trade/Option" article
ndirish1978 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean yeah the best thing to do if you don't want a guy is to get something for letting him go. You need someone to be willing to trade for his contract though. We currently have a 2 day window to make a trade with a willing party. If we renegotiate his contract the trade talk will still not die down until he's actually starting a game for us. Settle in, it's a long offseason. -

ABSOLUTELY. Fans here showed up to watch Jeff Tuel and Thad Lewis start for this team. Throwing away a 6th rounder on Chad would be THE thing to sell tickets and distract from the fact this year is about getting difference-makers where we can and trying to set ourselves up for long-term success. -

This isn't that kind of message board. Perhaps it's more likely you are being identified as an example of what NOT to do on this board so everyone else coming over can avoid your mistakes? -
I understand there is an argument that the low-risk, low-turnover guy, but that kind of game manager ONLY works if you can jump out to an early lead and your D can help you protect that lead. We have 4, possibly 5 GLARING holes on D: SS, FS CB1, WLB, maybeSLB/MLB (we don't know what position Ragland will man in this D and don't know how his knee will bounce back). Our D simply isn't in a place at this moment where we can be expected to shut people down at any stage of the game and we will likely wind up playing from behind a lot of the time. Look at a guy like Favre. He made stupid mistakes and obviously costs his teams games because of those mistakes, but if you were within 2 scores with 5-6 minutes left in the game, you knew you still had a chance to win. Can anyone say they feel that way about TT? Cause we could be down by 3 with a single possession left and I'm more confident he would just go 3 and out with at least one check down pass to a running back who has a man directly on top of him to keep the clock running.

This is a logical fallacy. This team was top 10 in points scored despite Taylor. With a competent passer at QB we could have been significantly better. If you want to thank someone for that stat, thank McCoy -
Per NFL.COM - Buffalos immediate needs:

Yeah I agree. I'm not a huge Sammy fan. It's just weird that someone at the league office would devalue an employee in a random article about team needs. -
Neither of those players are breakout franchise QBs. Pass Well, we don't know if Cardale is the answer. I suppose we won't really know until he plays. What we do know is that TT is an average game manager and is not a gamechanger that will bring you back in must-win situations. Also, there are cap implications this year that actually make the money aspect relevant That's true, but in order to get to next year we need to be able to re-sign young players like Z.Brown and pick up competent FAs. If Tyrod isn't "the guy" and you are likely to lose players at other positions that could be core guys for this team, why would you spend that amount of cap space just to keep a placeholder who isn't really a difference-maker. I am not advocating keeping or cutting TT, I think i've been pretty clear i don't care either way because he isn't a difference maker, but I do think that you have to ackowledge that keeping him THIS year will likely make us a worse team this year.

Welcome guys and thanks SDS, all your hard work absolutely does not go unnoticed

Out of all the new members of the board you have singled yourself out for all the wrong reasons. Nobody here "needs" to give you anything. Your schtick is tired and immature, time to grow up. -

These stats back up what half the posters here have observed. Tyrod's numbers hide how awful he is when the game is on the line. -
We have to move on from Tyrod!!!

While I understand your opinions are important to you, I ask that you please use the search function and add your thoughts to one of the 50 existing threads about this topic. It's a bit self-centered to believe your thoughts are unique and special and deserve their very own spot on the board. -

Typical TBN hack garbage. The Bills have stated ZERO plans for Tyrod publicly. I'd love it if TBN could explain how one consistent statement that hasn't vacillated means that the Bills "can't seem to make up their mind?" Absolutely ridiculous. -
Coach McDermott is very quiet

Listen to his interview with Florio. This team isn't a tank, but he's aware of "where they are right now" as a team. Expectations are not through the roof. -
That's seriously weak

For THAT. I'd sign him in a minute. That said, so would probably every other team in the league.
-
That's about right
-
Not really. But my question wasn't facetious. I'm interested in BADOL's opinion on what it would cost to get Gordon.
-
What would you pay him though?
