  1. The one argument I see that should be made is that people's actions have a direct repercussion on others in the NFL because it's a contact sport. In baseball if someone juices, they're running faster or hitting a ball harder. In football, they are taking those enhanced bodies and slamming them into other people who may not be similarly enhanced. I don't care about baseball players juicing. If they want a competitive advantage at the expensive of their health, it's their problem. But in football you're not just taking that risk on yourself, you are now forcing others to deal with the repercussions of your actions.
  2. Not mandatory, but polite. If you're going to post something it takes 2 seconds to search and see if you're repeating someone else's post. This isn't a rip on the OP, who is new, it's just my opinion on the complaint
  3. Looks like Stevie is pining for us https://twitter.com/DelReid/status/839437348127531008
  4. This only works for teams who have the cap space to do that though and you're going to pay far less for a star RT than a star CB.
  5. You build teams from the lines back. A good Oline enhances any offense, not just one with a pocket passer.
  6. I'd honestly probably stop rooting for the team for as long as he is on the roster if they drafted Mixon. The guy completely caved in a woman's face.
  7. I'm going to disagree because it seems like you're using general philosophies to address specific issues. I don't think you're accounting for the shift in how defenses are keying on weak RT play and shifting strong pass rushers to the right. you can't just get by with a good LT and a serviceable RT anymore imo. Also, there is no problem drafting for need when the draft lines up with your needs. If this were a weak CB, S class then yes, I would be clamoring to sign those positions as FA, but it's not. We can fill positions of need with the strength of this draft. I'd rather have Lattimore/Baker than Bethea/Verner
  8. You're honestly saying that a good Oline doesn't change the QB situation?
  9. We've been quite poor at that position for years. The draft is strong on CB, LB, S, DL. Why would you force yourself to use a pick on a RT with only 6 picks in this admittedly deep draft. You can't run an offense with a porous Oline. How many of our runs to the right HAD to involve a pulling guard because we had to compensate for Mills?
  10. Well that's it, THIS is obviously the reason he wound up being terrible. Help he was never offer or new he could receive was obviously holding him back from converting on simple extra points
  11. That's beyond ridiculous. Your records are already full of drug users.
  12. He's too slow to play Will. He has good football instincts though
  13. The situation is fluid. That does not mean they don't know. That means they have made a decision but are remaining open to options. There is nothing weird going on here.
  14. I presume the answer you will get is "because our FO is playing Checkers while everyone else plays Chess"
  15. I don't care how many meaningless games he played well in, he didn't play well enough to get us to the playoffs or not be embarassed by the Jets. I will regularly forget who played for this team until the year in which we are once again a relevant team. I don't have loyalty to anyone on this roster until then.
  16. I'm really going to miss his sparkling personality
  17. Wait hold on, you can trade BACK in the draft and acquire more picks?! Why doesn't everyone just do this!
  18. Agree with this so much
  19. I pray IK goes to the Pats. Cause... you know
  20. I feel like this isn't the first time OP has shouted this thread title out while sitting alone in front of a computer.
