  1. Expecting a 2nd round rookie to become your starting OC is a dangerous thing. Take a look at all the busted 1st round centers the past few years. So I'd say go with Teague or Tucker.
  2. Perhaps Dorenbos will be back to 100%? I hope so.
  3. I say just do it. Travis wants out, the Bills have a need for a LT, and the market for RB's was blown this year, so better something than nothing. Competition on the O-line will be good this year, and that will allow the Bills to use their picks in other areas that can help immediately.
  4. First off, thanks to those who contributed to the Vegas thread last week. The family is looking to go there in June. However we can only fly in on Saturday, and as luck would have it, most hotels don't let you check-in on Saturday. WTF is with that?
  5. It's a shame Mitch was a March fool.
  6. Lamont Jordan is an average football player. Look at what HE got on the market. And as for Travis being "a poor human being," let me guess, you have a teenage daughter, right?
  7. Sorry if you didn't realize that that's ALWAYS been my underlying argument. As for sacks given-up argument, sacks are why we vilified RJ and Drew, and what many point to as a reason why Teague couldn't play LT. And it's not like CV played with good QB's in Chicago.
  8. I can only surmise that it involved being snubbed for an autograph or possibly knowing or being related to that 15-year old tramp. Outside of that, Travis has given everything for the Bills and being the competitor that he is, rightfully felt slighted when the Bills drafted McGahee.
  9. Don't count-out Thomas or Greer.
  10. So is the trade offer Henry AND a draft pick for Shelton, Henry for Shelton straight-up, Henry for a swap of 2nd round picks, or Shelton for ACTUAL pet rocks? Or is Green REALLY telling the truth?
  11. Check out the number of sacks Villy's given-up over his career.
  12. So TD deceived us yesterday when talking about Anderson? But he was telling the truth about the Shelton trade, right? Good signing. Anderson has been a devastating run blocker for a good Ravens O-line. And considering the Bills figure to be running the ball a lot, he "fits the Bill" so to speak. If they can get him to lose weight, that would be great, but I won't hold my breath on that. And I'd also trust McNally versus Ravens fans anyday.
  13. I heard him say you'd be a FOOL not to take him in APRIL's draft.
  14. Yep. Live fast, die faster.
  15. Time for a little civil disobediance, Thoreau-style. Beyotches!
  16. He's a risk for sure. He's never played WR or TE in college, so it would be a gamble taking him high. But like I said, he's a freak and seems fairly intelligent.
  17. Except that Shelton wants OUT like Henry, and may sit-out for half the season, also like Henry. And TD has a lot more to gain (not to mention the mental ability to do it) by employing deception and chicanery because even if Henry gets traded to the Cards and plays out his $1.25M deal as a starter, it's FAR better than being a backup or worse yet sitting-out half the season (in which case he'll lose half his money) and see his market value die.
  18. I'm crying a river. Also they want to tax comp tickets that athletes get, because most are selling them for a profit. That and the crackdown on steroids. Poor pro athletes! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  19. As I've said before, "insiders" are mostly useful for providing information about goings-on. When it comes to evaluation, they're no better than anyone else because the draft and player development are crap-shoots, especially when there's little film on a player in real games. I'm sure your friend has whiffed on more than a few players in his time, but you probably haven't heard too much about that from him, or chose not to remember them. The best anyone can say here is "we'll see." He certainly came a HELL of a lot cheaper than the 9th overall pick, already has a year under his belt, and probably would have been picked higher than 9th overall, DEFINITELY higher than 22nd overall, this year.
  20. Getting your future starting QB a year early so he can learn the system: priceless!
  21. I've heard the best they can get is equal to a high-4th rounder, which includes a pick next year. If that's the best they can do, AND they want Travis and a pick, Green is smoking crack again. Travis and his agent are looking to get out of Buffalo, period. TD OTOH is trying to maximize value for Travis. Who has more of a reason to lie/deceive in this situation?
  22. TD rarely lies? Come on, VA! I love TD, but I believe what he says about as far as I can throw him. I've heard about the Shelton for Henry and a swap of 2nd rounders from numerous sources. I haven't heard a SINGLE report about the Cards wanting more than just Henry. But again, the link I provided proves that Henry is willing to play-out the final year of his deal and not look for a huge payday, so that makes him a lot more attractive than guys like Alexander and James, and I already showed you that his best season still blows-away Jordan's CAREER stats. And if the Cards/Green are stupid enough to demand something more for Travis when they've got Shelton making $3M and has some pretty pedestrian stats sitting on their bench (if he shows up at all), they're not going to move him at all.
  23. The Bills will have to at the very least spend their 2nd round pick on Jones. They probably need to move up to get him. I'd love to get him since he's a freakish-type of player that only comes around so often.
