  1. Serious question, have the Republicans ever written a bill to reduce gun violence? Have they ever done anything to prevent mass shootings?
  2. Let’s face the facts, the 2nd Amendment is not being upheld as intended.
  3. Bills don’t owe him anything for outperforming his contract. Just the way it is. He’ll get a deal based on the market. Just looking at safety deals a little closer the Smith deal actually isn’t as crazy as it sounds. 13th highest guaranteed money. The signing bonus and guaranteed money is actually pretty reasonable. Mathieu got more guaranteed. Look at the “signed age” for the top deals. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/contracts/safety/
  4. Poyer was overpaid by the Bills but not by much. Kind of reminds me of Bates this year. Bates a career backup that the Bears thought would be a starter so they gave him low end OG starter money. The Bills viewed Poyer as a starting safety for them so they gave him low end starting safety money. He outplayed the contract and received a raise 2 years later. He outplayed that raise. Now entering the final year of the deal he has one last major contract in his career. He wants top 5 safety money. I don’t think he’ll get it because of his age. He wants that Harrison Smith deal, it’s not happening here or as a UFA. The Mathieu deal should be eye opening for him.
  5. He did it to Tre White as well. Guy can ball.
  6. Oh you know there will be some sensitive fans. I remember when he joked about Buffalo hotels.
  7. See Tom can always win the trash talk because he’s the more successful QB. Bills fans better get ready for some jabs. You know they’re coming.
  8. We might see one brought in but I think the Bills are expecting Tre White to be ready towards the end of camp and ready to start week 1. Until we hear about a setback we should all expect the same.
  9. You wouldn’t do that with Josh, you would extend him so you can kick the cap down further. Restructures and extensions can be very similar. I mean you’re just modifying the current contract. In the case of an extension you’ll be adding money to the player. But as a benefit to the team you can spread the cap out more season. Thats exactly what happened with Diggs. Extension created cap space this season even though Diggs got a big boost in pay.
  10. Yes you can keep doing it. Basically the Bills could extend Josh Allen again, give him huge up front money and push a lot of cap into the future. They could easily create 10’s of millions in cap space every year doing this. They can do it with other players as well, not to that extent. The problem is players can’t play at a high level forever. So that is risk. Plus injury can change the plans very quickly. You have to pay that cap at some point, it doesn’t disappear. You don’t want to get hit with huge cap numbers for a player that can’t perform at a top level anymore. Now you’ll likely have to release the player and have huge dead cap.
  11. I’ve read non contact injuries are easier to return from, maybe this is part of the reason. Less force. Tears are cleaner. Less damage to the knee.
  12. I’ve always said make it a track competition. Team vs team. See who’s the fastest team in the NFL. It’ll get huge ratings. Cash prize. 4x100m relay race 100m race You could also have a skills competition AFC vs NFC.
  13. Tua has one of the lowest check down rates in the NFL, lower than Josh Allen. It’s an interesting stat knowing his throwing limitations.
  14. Cooper Kupp tore his ACL in November a couple years ago and didn’t miss a game the following season. No contact injury. Very similar injury and time table to White. This is why each individual injury is different. Don’t look at stats because it’s pointless. But here’s a feel good video for those worried.
  15. We were literally right in the same boat when players like Beasley, Brown, and Diggs came to Buffalo. The jokes were strong. All 3 WRs were better in Buffalo with Allen even though the perception around the league was poor when those players arrived. I know the Dolphins are a rival and Tua is no where near as talented physically as Allen, but Tua can improve. Tua needs to be quicker mentally than everyone on the field. His accuracy and timing need to be top notch. The mental part and the timing part are things that typically take QBs the longest to develop.
  16. Who was last place?
  17. OTA and camp is all about hype. But don’t be shocked if Tua had a breakout season.
  18. The thing is it’s all agreed to with the CBA. Teams have cap penalties for releasing players and players get fined. Everything is within the CBA. I think the big problem for players is when they do hold out it hurts the team. When a team releases a player it’s most likely due to the cap or poor play so the release is justified. Poyer and his agent know the Bills have space to sign Poyer. The problem is it likely comes at the expense of another position. Beane said others want deals as well. My guess is Edmunds, Knox, Oliver, and Hyde are also sniffing around for a deal. The Bills absolutely can’t keep all 5. Hyde is the interesting one in this situation. Hyde and Poyer have matching contracts. Both are equally important and playing at a high level. Hyde is older but if Poyer is getting a huge pay day then Hyde will likely want and deserve more as well. It’s a very tough situation. I think we’ll see both Hyde and Poyer signed to matching extensions this summer. Edmunds will be the odd man out.
  19. He tore his ACL, there is obvious concern. Top level players seem to return to form lately. ACL injuries have been rehabbed differently lately. More aggressive rehab has been key. Tre will return but we won’t know how he’ll play until it happens.
  20. This is such a crazy story. The NFL would love to stay out of all matter outside of football but the problem is they make a lot revenue off of networks and advertising. So basically the NFL will do whatever the networks and advertisers want. If it gets to a point where public pressure is too strong then the NFL will act. Remember Ray Rice got away with it. He was getting a 2 game suspension and keeping his job. Then the video dropped and the public pressure was too much. He was immediately released and suspended indefinitely for the same thing.
  21. Remember when Jay Cutler was going to be a Buffalo Bill? It was back when Rueben Brown had a WGR show. He said Cutler’s agent was in Buffalo working on a trade. I’ll never forget that.
  22. This might be the 1st time in Allen’s football career that he is getting the respect he deserves.
  23. Doesn’t matter how hot the gf/wife is there’s always more out there.
