  1. Agreed. He made a horrible call (and he admitted it with an apology), but he's still probably the best ref in the league. That said, the Den-SD call wasn't his only blown one and his crew was still rated #1.
  2. That's exactly why he's probably taking a year off. Who knows what he's looking for, but I think if he had control of a roster with enough talent, that team would be in great shape.
  3. Well, the "perfect situation" would have to happen for 2009. Shanahan said that he'll take a year off unless a perfect situation came up for him to coach next year.
  4. Shanahan Jauron should have only next season to turn things around, if you ask me.
  5. I don't think it will be that much. While I agree that a decline in season tickets will likely happen, I still think there are a good number of people on the waiting list willing to fork over the $$$. Maybe not 15,000....I can see a drop of 7-8K after the cancellations and subsequent new purchases from the waiting lists. There may be a few games that will have trouble selling out, but since the season ticket number may decline, there should be plenty of opportunities for folks like me who are looking for individual game tickets. As for Arizona, I'm also shocked. First playoff appearance in 10 years and a home playoff game in that state (is it the first ever for the Cardinals in Arizona?). John McCain should be embarrassed.
  6. Same here. I'd rather see a pass-rusher in Round 1 (Everette Brown, Rey Maualuga, Aaron Maybin). But since the TE position has been horribly overlooked, I won't be upset with him.
  7. Especially considering how well Cassel played this year.... I don't know if Manning will have every record in the book, but he'll be close. He showed me this year what he means to the Colts when he's healthy.
  8. Hopefully, but if Ralph is not going to let Jauron go now, why would he do so in the middle of the season? I'd like to think that if we get off to a 1-4 start or something similar, then Jauron is gone. I just don't see anything happening until the end of the season.
  9. "Ralph spoke of continuity. Screw continuity, especially when it’s in the form of three consecutive 7-9 records under Jauron." This is what I've been saying...continuity is a good thing if you're the Indianapolis Colts. It's a bad thing for this organization right now. Why continue the same plodding offense and defense that bends itself to the point of actually breaking? If I was this successful in my job, I would have been fired a long time ago.
  10. On paper, as it looks right now, it's a very difficult schedule. Things can change enough in the offseason that the schedule may become less difficult than it looks. We won't know for sure until the 2009 season starts up.
  11. They traded for him and dipped a lot of dough into the free agent market so they could sell PSLs.
  12. Correct. I believe he was DC or DB coach at the time.
  13. It's a bit disturbing to hear about this. Jerry Sullivan and Ed Kilgore have both made mention of how he chuckled after some odd statements. Not saying the op is on to something, but hearing rumors about how Ralph went directly to the league about something makes me wonder.....
  14. Good riddance. We'll see you back here in about 2 years when we're in the playoffs.
  15. Are you going to sing about it, too? We'll see you back here in a couple of years when we're in the playoffs.
  16. I'll second this. If anyone else doesn't want their season tickets, I'd be happy to take them off your hands. I'm in the same boat that Corp is, except I live in Albany and I have a much easier chance of seeing most of the games, if not all of them. You know they'll come back, saying they've been fans all along. GO BILLS!
  17. I wonder how many messages they have similar to yours.
  18. So, if your house was burning, you'd escape outside to save yourself while the wife, kids, & dog perish? No, the only fans left are loyal ones. "Real fans" stick with their team through thick & thin. I'm as pi$$ed off as everyone else is, but I'm still here.
  19. I guess the bright side in all of this is that the fan pool is being whittled down to real Bills fans. I will also continue to love & support this team. I've been a fan since the Kay Stephenson/Hank Bullough, pre-Marv, 2-14 days. No reason to stop now. As much as this decision stings, I'll be over it....probably until we're 0-1, but I'll be over it.
  20. This would hold true for Cowher, as well. I still don't like the idea of a coach being the GM at the same time, though.
  21. It's embarrassing to read something like this. It's everything we've been clamoring about and the "experts" at E$PN see it just as clearly as we do.
  22. This is all very odd.....it's as if we're hearing the whole scenario play out through the media. I agree with scribo - I don't think Cowher's coaching anywhere next year.
  23. Or Portia DeRossi or Ellen Degeneres?
