Brady* the gardener
BuffaloWings replied to scoring is not hardy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And I'll bet he doesn't care one bit about that guy's situation. -
This is precisely how the technological advancement of our society is sometimes a bad thing.

Teddy may only play one more season
BuffaloWings replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought it was the kittens from the burning car. -
I agree and like your thinking, but I just don't think it'll happen. Because the internet exists, rumors spread faster and more furious these days. We may hear 27 more rumors about things that may or may not have happened to McNair that night. Heck, my own personal theories about this have changed about 3 times since I heard the news, only because more facts and rumors have come out. Just keep in mind that we may never know the truth, despite what the investigation reveals.

You ever worn a player's jersey from another NFL team?
BuffaloWings replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a green Favre jersey that I bought about several years ago. He *was* my favorite non-Bill of all time. I wouldn't mind wearing jerseys of guys I respect as a player & a person - Peyton & John Elway immediately come to mind. -
Dominic Rhodes on Colin Cowherd Show
BuffaloWings replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It may be true, but it's still old. It might have been funny 25 years ago, but the more I hear the media types making fun of the weather, the more stupid I think it is. -
Steve McNair found shot to death
BuffaloWings replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll second this. McNair was as tough as they come on the field and always a consummate professional. Unbelievable....life is too short. -
They have some in the Albany area. PJ's BBQ near Saratoga Springs has BOW sandwiches, but I don't know if they pick up the kummelweck rolls locally. I can't imagine they have them shipped out from Buffalo, though.

Should athletes speak out on issues?
BuffaloWings replied to Rush23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously, I don't think athletes should be required to speak out. This has been a criticism of Tiger Woods over the years in that he doesn't always speak out about various things - I've heard a number of reporters complain that he doesn't speak out against racism and other politically sensitive issues, but I honestly don't see the point. Yes, athletes (especially those of Tiger's popularity) can easily use their celebrity status to raise awareness on certain issues and I can understand why those who lead a cause would encourage them to do such a thing. If it's all for a good cause, then I have no problem with that. But I don't understand the criticism of athletes - and other celebrities - when they don't speak out. It's a free country and everyone - athletes, celebrities, and us peons who spend time on message boards all day long - is allowed to speak out. I just don't think everyone in the public eye should be required to. -
Buffalo Bills nation just got a little bigger!!!!!
BuffaloWings replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Congrats!!!! -
Let's see....it's June 26th and training camps usually open around the 3rd week of July. That leaves anywhere from 24-31 days when camp opens. Explain to me how this could be seen as a knock on the Bills...

Touring Buffalo- What to see and do?
BuffaloWings replied to DDD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not Buffalo, but my father used to live in northern Chautauqua county (Forestville) where wineries are all over the place. Most (if not all) will have tours available. Wineries And even though some don't think they have the best wings anymore, go to the Anchor Bar, anyway. It's a tradition for me when I visit. -
Are the Bills working out Chase Patton today?
BuffaloWings replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't forget about Chase Coffman (TE) was on that same team....something about Mizzou where they like the name Chase. -
Stallworth Suspended Indefinitely!
BuffaloWings replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tell me what would happen if you drove home drunk one night and killed someone. Forget about suspensions, do you think you could even keep your job after that? It shows a lack of responsibility that most (if not all) employers would not tolerate. I'm sure my bosses would have me on the street faster than you can say DUI. On Stallworth's part, it shows even less responsibility. He's a public figure, so is Leonard Little and so is Michael Vick. These guys have a special responsibility to act mature & professional, and be role models for the community. This isn't to say that they should be the ultimate role model (parents should be), but they're in the spotlight. It's because of this that I agree Goodell should punish players for off-the-field conduct. -
I think 16 games is enough. The only reason to expand to 18 is $$ for the owners and the league and I don't see the point of pushing the Superbowl back to mid/late February. The 16-game schedule puts enough rigor on the players physically & mentally, as it is. Plus the starters usually don't play that much in the preseason, anyway. The last two games are usually for the fringe players trying to make the team and by the end of the season, only a handful of teams are playing the starters all 60 minutes - those being the ones who are still trying to make the playoffs. Not worth it, IMO.

Do you care if Bills players smoke marijuana?
BuffaloWings replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now it's up to 111 - 36. To me, that's pretty disturbing. I never said "pot heads are dumb", nor did I even imply that. My point was that if they smoke on a regular basis, don't you think that would affect their overall decision-making? One's brain cells can't be helped by this. And since you bring up responsibility, don't you think a highly-paid athlete doing a job that's constantly in the spotlight where he's looked up to by thousands of kids would be acting responsible by not going anywhere near the stuff??? -
Do you care if Bills players smoke marijuana?
BuffaloWings replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Terrible excuse. There are plenty of legal ways to blow off steam. And - as others have said - if they're making this decision to smoke pot even "off the clock", how does that NOT affect them on the field? -
The Bills & Sabres could get a new sponsor in Yahoo?

Link, anyone? -
Call me crazy, but I'm getting this vibe that you're not exactly enamored with Schonert.

corporate logos on NFL Uniforms?
BuffaloWings replied to olivier in france's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stadium names are one thing...you don't always have to see it and/or have it thrown in your face each time you watch an NFL game. I should've known this would be the next step. But even so, what company these days is willing to "throw away" money like that? -
Haven't the Texans been ready to crash the party for the past 5 years?

Jim Kelly to help Trent with No Huddle....
BuffaloWings replied to bourbonboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because the QBs now have radio communication with the coaches, this can be done. This wasn't around in the early 90s and Kelly did most of it himself. While I think it helps that the QB knows the plays and needs to be able to audible, the radio communication makes it easier for the OC to help out the QB. But also remember, no-huddle doesn't necessarily mean the hurry-up/two-minute offense. The no-huddle offense has the mere threat of a hurry-up, but doesn't always use it. The entire offense was trained to get to the LOS as soon as humanly possible, disallowing the defense to make the substitutions they want. Kelly would always get everyone to the line, but not always run a play right away. -

BuffaloWings replied to bourbonboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed good news, but I still wonder why they're advertising this. I realize it's the age of the Internet and news like this can leak and spread like gangbusters, but now everyone knows the Bills will be running it and can prep for it (as best as a team can). This is like telling all of the burglars what type of locks you're putting on your house. -
Again....what makes you so sure? You know Michael Vick so well to say that he won't do it again? C'mon.
