  1. No they aren't all moving up as for everyone that is moving up means another one is moving down. Many articles prior to draft said overall a weak draft as players stayed in school because of NIL $$ ans there was s2nd reason that I don't recall. Think it may have been 6th year of eligibility due to COVID?? So Beane feels overall weak draft so move down. I'm traveling today so not paying close attention, but thought I saw a post that he picked up a 2025 pick, so maybe he feels next year will be stronger.
  2. So if other teams are also moving up, that means others are also moving down. So Beane is doing the same as others The only stupid thing around here are all the arm chair GMs who think they are smarter than people who do this for a living
  3. It is interesting how for everyone who has this itch, Franklin keeps dropping. So good no one here with the itch is making the actual picks. Also kind of says for everyone who may criticize Beane for not grabbing him, no other team has been interested in him yet either.
  4. Wasn't Diggs also a 5th rounder, obviously not drafted by Bills, but shows low picked players can still be very good
  5. That's fine , but take him in the 5th or 6th when there's not pressure for the guy to produce as a rookie. If drafted low can probably slip him to PS or have him slip on the annual banana peel and spend the season on IR, but still learns alot.
  6. You want another WR?? Total waste. Rookies need more time to develop working with them and trying to develop 2 rookies drafted high at same position is just a waste. They will both suffer as a result. Works great in fantasy Football, but not in the NFL
  7. Still waiting to hear how Beane was supposed to stop KC from taking Worthy or even know KC was going to take Worthy. So maybe you're the one who needs time to go and figure that out.
  8. Good news with the 1st pick tonight, they probably won't go to commercial during the Bills pick
  9. Yeah possibly, Or maybe some other NFL team was also interested, but he felt was walking into a great spot in Buffalo with no real solid #1 QB on roster, so he signed here??
  10. Edmunds was another one. It's tough too as you need to pick up the 5th year option after the player has only completed his 3rd year. Wouldn't be shocked if the Bills had wished like in the old days to rescind Edmunds option after seeing his play in year 4, but can't do that anymore. So they let him play it out, maybe were hoping for a huge improvement, but it never came, so let him walk.
  11. I was never a big Flutie fan but did think he got screwed after signing with Bills, they then traded a1st round pick for Rob Johnson. Regardless of how Johnson worked out, doubt Flutie ever would have signed here if he knew that was teams intentions.
  12. And how would you have prevented KC from getting Worthy? Other than drafting themselves, a guy they didn't want who likely the Bills don't think it going to be that good, just so KC doesn't get him. As has been pointed out, KC's record with drafting WR wasn't that good. So was Worthy the guy you were hoping they'd pick at 28, if so can at least understand why you're mad. But this entire cut off my nose to spite my face argument is really dumb! Actually I'm thrilled they didn't take a 165 pound WR and got extra picks out of it.
  13. So what should the Bills have done to prevent this, draft a guy they don't want and didn't think is going to be a great player?? Beane is an idiot!! He should have thought I don't want Worthy, but can't let KC take him so I'll draft him anyway, a guy I don't think will be very good, but who cares as long as KC isn't getting him is all that matters! That's the kind of thinking we need out GM to have!!
  14. If they Bills had wanted Worthy, they could have drafted him, but they didn't, so think it's a safe assumption to say they didn't want him. So what should the Bills have done drafted Worthy anyway even if they don't think he's any good just to prevent KC from getting him? And what would have stopped KC from still getting him by either waiting until 32 or trading up with another team? So explain to me how they could have prevented KC from getting him? Love to hear this one! So they should have drafted a guy they didn't want who likely the Bills don't think it going to be that good, just so KC doesn't get him. Great idea!! Love the way you think!!
  15. This speed thing IMO is way overblown I just calculated the difference between Worthy's time as the fast player in the NFL and Curtis Samuel time and it works out that the 40 yard distance would mean Worthy is not quite 1 yard down the field further than Samuel would be. How many passes did Allen throw Diggs that were either way over thrown OR way under thrown. Also how many 40 yard completions are actually even made, my guess is less than 10%, and probably much less. Now you take something that has less than a 10% success rate to start with and add to that was the pass has to be exactly there as the over or under thrown passes won't matter either. Add also as has been stated combine 40 times and football times are totally different. I'd also worry that with a guy who ways 165 pounds, how often will he be able to stay on the field. I'm sure he'll bulk up some, but likely also slow down some as a result. I doubt Worthy will run a 40 time as fast if his ribs or something else is hurting from hits he's taking. Put all this together makes me question will defenses really worry all that much about him being a yard down the field further as they know the likelihood of success on that type of play is very low to begin with, so worry about the important things.
  16. So I got an email offering $100 off, is that what the price works out to with $100 off, $289??
  17. I was thinking the same which is good. Paid in full last year at discounted rate they offered for 1st time sign up. But figuring this year won't offer any discounts to start with. Last year with their schedule, only really needed it about 5 or 6 6 weeks as most game were seen all over. I'm out of local market.
  18. OK I don't have a choice of manage. I see the date is August though, that;'s not too bad, I was expecting it to be much sooner.
  19. To your point: Recall the 1967 season, the Baltimore Colts led by Johnny U hadn't lost a game all season, though they had tied the Rams earlier who were in their same division. Recall they were by far the best team in the league that year. Last game of the season they played LA again in LA led by Gabriel and the Rams beat them. There were no wild cards back then so the way the tie breakers fell Rams won the division somehow, Colts didn't even make playoffs. Green Bay knocked off Rams in first round and then went on to win SB II. As a side note believe he was from Wilmington NC area where I currently live.
  20. Yeah but with DTV even once it auto renewed, you could still cancel ST anytime up to the first week of the season. That was when you'd do the dance routine to get them to offer abetter rate. Thought I recall with YTTV once the payment is made, you're locked in and can't even cancel.
  21. I do have YTTV. Not sure what you define as a one off purchase, I just made one payment, but in the fine print you agreed to auto-renew, think that was why they gave the discount. Could be different with the stand alone, but kind of surprising they'd anyone off that easy when would be very easy to keep up the subscription.
  22. The other thing to compare is how does this compare with other positions? Is the hit/miss rate on edge rushers or CB's around the same. If I were to bet on it, I'd say they are. Just reading an article today quoting Beane as saying there are only around 25 players the Bills have first round grades on. But 32 teams will be drafting in the 1st round, so if Beane grades reflect how other teams also see it, there will be some misses there.
  23. Maybe they saw the smoke coming, but didn't realize it was blowing in a different direction. Reading the article about Kevin Adams season ending presser, he implied Terry is very per-occupied with Kim. Maybe he sees the 25% owner as becoming more of a face of the franchise and he can take a back seat. Kind of like the last couple of years with RW. He was no longer attending league meeting, was sending Russ. Could be Terry feels better to send someone to represent the team who actually has a large amount of skin in the game, but no so much skin to over rule him. Article also talked about how this is becoming more popular as becoming more difficult for the heirs to keep the team in the family due to large tax issues. Initially Terry may have figured good chance Kim will out live him and she'll run things. That looks less likely now, maybe kids either don't want it, can't afford it, or none he feels are totally capable of running it??
