Bicyclists, Do you ride properly in the bike lane?
Ramius replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I hope they arrest him for ramming a police car. Bicyclists are some of the biggest d-bags on the road. -
To those who call Ralph Wilson cheap...
Ramius replied to Buffalo_soul-dier's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you rip Ralph constantly for being cheap and miserly as if he sits there counting his millions, yet then you insinuate that he has no idea where his millions are donated or how much of them are? Doesn't add up to me. I used to think you were just excessively negative, but after this post, i realize you're nothing but a low-life dirtbag. -
If you've ever bypassed an empty port-o-john to take a leak on a guardrail, you might be a Bills fan. If there have ever been more than a dozen people doing this along with you, you might be a Bills fan. If your spouse/significant other has ever used "wide right" to piss you off in an argument, you might be be Bills fan. If you think of Darryl Talley everytime someone mentions "Spiderman," you might be a Bills fan. If you ever bragged to your friends because your dad met Larry Kinnebrew in a bar, you might be a Bills fan.

Fred Jackson is more Wedge Antilles than Moorman. And Merriman is Lando Calrissian.

Smith contemplating permanent decertification
Ramius replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's nothing altruistic about the owners side of the argument. But i'm baffled as to why some of you think its ok for the players to demand more money (as they did in 2006), but its not ok for the owners to do the same thing. TV money aside, the squeeze on the players will work. If thing is still at its current impasse in august/september, the players will come crawling back when the game checks aren't rolling in. The NHL was much better off after a missing season. If missing a year is what it takes to snap the neck of demaurice smith, than so be it.* *Disclaimer: i think that a deal would get done that would be mutually beneficial if brees and brady, etc sat down with the owners and were allowed to negotiate with smith stuffed in a closet somewhere. He's the real problem and the biggest obstacle in this entire mess. -
Wow. Bills fand can even create a QB controversy when there's only 1 QB.

Smith contemplating permanent decertification
Ramius replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The pool of revenues the players are drawing from was much much bigger, even with the billion off the top. Hence the reason the cap jumped from $85 million to $110 million or so in the first year after the new CBA. Prior to 2006, i think the total % was based off just the TV money, or TV and ticket money. Now, the players get a cut of everything, including stadium revenue, etc. -

Ramius replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The bolded is true. Prior to 2006, the salary cap and the % cut the players got were from a specific set of revenues. Which ones exactly, i dont remember. The 2006 CBA gave the players a % cut and based the salary cap on ALL revenues. Huge difference. -
Meant the red helmet with the charging buffalo.

Obama signs Patriot Act Extension
Ramius replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Calling Michael Moore an unmitigated moron is an understatement. I don't read Daily Kos or Huffington Post, and i don't know what senator from Minnesota you're talking about. If they all said that, then yes they are unmitigated morons. The only thing currently in this country that is completely bi-partisan is stupidity. -
As someone who is almost 30, i like the red helmets much better. The white standing buffalo helmets are cool, but i like the red charging Buffalo. Plus, we were 1 of only 2 teams with red helmets. Everyone has white helmets. What exactly makes the whites more "classy" than the red?

If anyone doesn't like the terms of employment their future workplace is offering, they are free to seek employment elsewhere. -
Obama signs Patriot Act Extension

This argument is as asinine as the morons who bashed Bush for dealing with foreign business while at the 2008 Olympics instead of flying back to DC to take the phone call there. -
I don't care too much about the title game, but the current admin at Miami is content with having a nice little football program that can win 8 games a year and play in a nice little bowl game on December 28th. The biggest problem the "U" is facing is getting the $ and support to become a big time football school again. Their location and past will always keep them somewhat relevant. But the admin is willing to rest on this and doesn't have the drive to get the team to the top again. As a 'Noles fan, i love beating the piss out of Miami, but its much more fun when they are good and its an actual rivalry. Not to mention Miami getting back near the top is better for the ACC as a whole.

Sounds like you're just pissy because your school has been effectively relegated to nothing more than a has been in a low-tier BCS conference. The big dogs in the ACC (VT, FSU, Clemson), currently all view you guys the same as we view Maryland, NC St, and/or Wake Forest. A nice little program that may win 9-10 games once in a while, but wil never actually contend for anything. Its not your fault, but until Miami gets a new president/AD and a new stadium, their days as contenders are effectively over.

You actually think that kids playing for a revenue producing sport at a Div I school get an education?

To be fair, you have to consider that losing right away in the playoffs is par for the course in Atlanta. See: 1990's Braves

All 4 of them must be sad. The real problem with hockey in the south is that most rednecks are too stupid to learn how to follow the play, or at the bare minimum, follow the puck.

Smith contemplating permanent decertification
Ramius replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll see how many players like the "permanent decertification" and no draft when brady and Manning get 20 million per season while 1500 out of the 1700 NFL players are making 50k per season because thats all the owners will pay. -
Somewhat ironically, this thread has turned into the TBD reverse rapture. But instead of the messiah returning to earth and taking people to heaven, simon has decided to come out of wherever and rapture people away from the board. From a scientific standpoint, neither situation makes logical sense, but i'm at least sure Jesus won't be on a power trip if He comes back.

“The people making the rules at the NFL are idiots”
Ramius replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, you don't recall correctly. http://www.arenafootball.com/ -
No way you spot one of the china knockoffs unless its one of the horribly bad ones (which you can tell from the picture on the website). Plus, $30 for a stitched jersey is much better than the $200 that the NFL charges for the exact same thing.

If you are somehow shocked that a rookie DT got schooled in his first significant action in his NFL career 5 games into his rookie year, you need your head examined.

That list doesn't include our very own Dwight Drane's 09/15/09 end of the world prediction. Or that the Buffalo-SD game in '08 would not take place due to the end times.

Thats how it was the first couple of seasons, but it hasn't been like that in a while. The last few, if there's a tie, there's a re-vote for 1 of the 2 people in the tie by everyone else. If its still tied, they've been going to a challenge-style tie-breaker. (ie-whoever starts a fire first wins) It's been a few seasons since there was the double tie however. I'm waiting to see what happens the first time there's a 2 or 3 way tie for the million bucks.
