very true. i set the over/under at 8 minutes before someone bitches about the length/money of whitners deal, once the details are released.
-
What the hell is everyone around here going to talk/B word about now? If all the whitner threads are done, there goes the first 6 pages of TSW.

Wow, someone put boobs on a skeleton. Still nto impressed. Lay off the crack, eat a fuggin cheeseburger, and maybe i'll start to be impressed. -
Well, the rating doesnt show the fact holcomb fumbled on our own 20 with us leading 16-14, and allowed the patsies to take the lead immediately after. Also, i am so glad he was 20-26 with the 2 yard out on 4th and 7, instead of 19-26 while actually TRYING for the first down. But he's gotta keep that completion % and rating up.

You Know Who We Never Post About Here?
Ramius replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think it matters, because the pick wasnt an o-lineman. Had we drafted a 1st round o-lineman, we would have punched our ticket to the super bowl. -
Briere at 5 mil per is worth much more than max or JP at 3 mil per. One of them will be gone before the season starts.

Poster below assert that we have "all this talent"

Lee Evans is easily a top 20-25 NFL WR. Is he unbeatable, no, but i'd take him over a lot of other starting WR's in the league. I dont feel like it, but i can list the current starting WR's that Evans is better than. Also, Jason Peters is one highly rated OL prospect, who the league and media sources are just starting to notice. Who cares that he was undrafted, he's playing good. And Willis is better than rudi johnson. Rudi played in a much better offense, hence the higher numbers. Now, i will translate into roscoe p coetrain speak so you can understand it: Evan easily a top 20-25 WR. he unbeatable, no, but take him much before lot of other startin WR in league. i can list the curant starting WR who not better than Evan. Jason Peter is one highly rated OLinemen prospect, who league and media sources starting to notice. Who care that he undrafted, he good. Willis be better than rudy johnson. Rudy played in higher offense, had more higher numbers. -
I was in Ft. myers beach, FL this past weekend, and had a similar experience. We went to this hole in the wall sports pub on the beach, after we had been told it had good cheap food. I ordered the wings, and i was surprised and pleased to get a heaping plate of big crispy wings. Theres werent your typical BW3 pinky-finger size wings, these were the real deal. Cooked to perfection, only drawback was the sauce was a bit too thin. It had good flavor, but needed some more substance so it would stick to the wing. So if anyone in ft myers beach wants go to the Dockside Sports pub. Just be ready to deal with a boston accent. (Altho to me, a boston accent is welcome after living in the land of rednecks with "yall" this and "fixin" to do that)

Starting To Really Think We Have No QB

You mean in '04? When in his first 9 games starting Palmer tossed 7 TD's and 12 INT's? And a lot of bengal fans were screaming for his head because they had kitna. But they smartly stuck with him for A FULL SEASON (he missed the last 3 games due to injury), and in his final 4 games started, palmer tossed 11 TD's and 6 INT's to finish with a respectable 18TD - 18INT. Sounds a bit like JP, huh? Terrible first 4 games, and a much improved final 4 games. Maybe we need to see what hes got over a FULL SEASON, not just the random game here or there. -
Honestly, the FSU cheerleaders themselves arent that big of a deal. Yeah there are some hotties, but for some reason, it seems that FSU has a breast size limit on their cheerleaders. Anyone over a B-cup is NOT allowed. Now, if you want FSU babes, all you need ot do is cruise the student section during any home game. There you will find thousands of girls similar to the FSU Cowgirls.

Exactly...my Noles open up against Miami! Then we roll out the creampuffs. Whats crazy is that FSU has 8, yes EIGHT, home games this season.

Happy B-day!

A good deuce is highly underrated. It can change the complexion of your entire day.

Also notice...No ralph at camp when fidel just happens to go in for surgery. Has anyone ever seen Ralph and Fidel at the same time? I thought not. Ralph is Fidel, and Fidel is Ralph. One in the same.

Jets go into the Season with the experienced
Ramius replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ok, heres some foor for thought. The Jets spent 2 first round picks on the o-line.The bills added 2 younger players via FA to the o-line. Both teams "addressed" the lines. (Note:1st round picks are not the onyl way to add o-linemen). So if 1/2 of the jets draft picks pan out, and are good, and 1/2 of the bills acquisitions pan out and are good, then whats the difference in how the teams acquired the o-lines? Its very frustrating when people think that 1st round picks are the only way to improve a line. -
Would You Rather Go 8-8 With Holcomb
Ramius replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely 4-12 with losman. If we go 4-12 under JP, it will not be because he played spectacular and because everyone else was terrible. At least then we'll know that he's not the answer. One way or another, we need to know by January what tract to go with JP. -
Agreed. (scary, huh?). Nohing like watching a good fought 17-17 game end up 48-47 because of 65 OT's. I love the NFL, but living in Tallahassee and going to many FSU games has opened my eyes to college ball. The NFL is still by far better, but the college game has that "atmosphere", and much much bigger rivalries. Also, i'll take the scenery at Doak Campbell Stadium here over The Ralph any day!

In other news, pass patterns longer than 12 yards downfield have been removed from the playbook. -
Any truth to the rumors we could still trade max? Max is more attractive in a trade with a 3 year contract than the 1 year arbitration deal. Also, with these signings, i wonder what the sabres have in store for dumont. They havent extended him, and his arbitration is this week.

Definitely not worth it. Its the fuggin steelers!
