  1. Its standard issue football equipment. You get your helmet, shoulder pads, and handgun.
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2527043 Signed a 6 year 23.7 million deal, with 9.3 million in guarantees, and a viodable 6th year. He was drafted 13th overall, and its a nearly 10% increase over last year's 13th pick, according to the article. (2005 13th - 5 years 11 million) I'd say look for the other 1st rounders to start falling into place, with williams and wimbley signed. thats how it usually goes. 1 signs, and they start to fall like dominoes. For comparisons sake, last years #26 C Chris Spencer got a 5 yr, 7.4 million deal with 5 million guaranteed. Look for McCargo to get 5 years 8-9 million, with 5-6 mil guaranteed. Now #8 is different story. Last years #7 and #9 got 5 year deals for 15.75 and 13 million respectively, with 13.3 and 11.26 million guaranteed, but antrel rolle, at #8, got a 6 year deal worth "up to" 43 million, and 13.6 guaranteed. I'm trying to find out more info about his contract, but no luck yet. I'll update if i find more info. I'd say look for Whitner to get 6 years 25-27 mil, with 13-15 mil guaranteed. contract info from here http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/Featu...ningchart05.htm
  3. DT and SS were just as big of needs as other positions, especially with our cover 2 defense. Also we gave up a third for mccargo, NOT a second and third. I dont know why people have so much trouble with draft pick trades. We traded away a 3rd round pick to move up from spot 42 to 26. Thats a net loss of 1 pick, not 2.
  4. Word is, and i dont have the links but there were a few stories, that Bush wants #1 money, even tho he was the #2 pick. He thinks he should have been #1, and is the #1 player, so he deserves #1 money. What a prick.
  5. I agree that our history picking up FA linemen has been spotty at best, and sooner or later it would be prudent to get a few early round draft picks in. But, its not fair to lump marv with TD. TD's strategy didnt work. Marv has had 1 draft. He needs some time to show what he can do. (and dont say marv will draft a CB in round 1 next year, just because the Bills did so under him and polian in the 90's) Back then, we needed the CB's, and he made solid draft choices at those positions. Plus, youboty was drafted this year to replace clements if clements walks.
  6. Seeing how we needed a SS, and by next season will need a CB and an FS, then yes this does make sense. Signing reyes and fowler added players that will perform at the very least at the same level of some rookie o-lineman, if not much better.
  7. Blue Fire - great analysis...i have a few comments/ cincy - i think they tumble this year. Not too far, but they'll fall to 9-7. Palmer wont be at full speed to begin with, and missing odell thurman will hurt them in their 1st 4 games. They have a brutal schedule, and could easily start 1-3. Also, i think character issues have a negative impact on their team. Jax - waaaaaay overrated. Almost cardinals overrated. They have a WR corps with more ?'s than ours. Solid defense, but they dont have the offense ot get them past the WC round. Tampa - Dont knock simms just because all of you horns hated him. Hes a good QB, and will onyl get better this year. I watched a lot of TB games this past season, and Simms really started to put it together. St. Louis - Their QB is Bulger, and their offense is enough in a weak division to get them to 8-10 wins. Linehan will actually run jackson too. I agree with Carolina being the team to beat this season.
  8. They all wanted anyone taken with the top 7 picks.
  9. Have you gotten the nerve to call up and ask out pyrite gal yet? Perhaps some female companionship would make watching the bills a more enjoyable experience.
  10. I'm sure the fact that schick makes the 4 blade and gilette makes the 5 blade had NO bias on that study whatsoever.
  11. I'd say FSU, but last time i checked, we still have jeff bowden as our OC, so their goes our chances.
  12. Not all adult stem cells are that limited. They are all much more limited than embryonic stem cells, but the adult mesenchymal stem cells i work with can differentiate into osteoblasts, chondrocytes, adipocytes, or cardiomyocytes.

  18. Its funny how come so many people can understand this conept, yet how so many cannot. They'd rather sit there and scream StemCellsBad!
  19. Leftover Tuna Helper. The creamy pasta variety.
  20. My point was that with such a large pool of players of similar talent, theres not a whole lot fo difference, if any, between a 5th/6th/7th round pick and an UDFA.
  21. yah they had a skit for a razor with 15 or 21 blades or something. came out in the late 90's if i remember correctly... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Live_commercial Scroll down, and the product is the "Platinum Mach 14"
  22. yes, adults have stem cells. yes they are useful in research and combating diseases, etc. but they have no where near the potential of embryonic stem cells. One of the biggest drawbacks to no federal funding is that any potential negatives of embryonic stem cell use will not be researched thoroughly. Private sources arent going to kick a lot of money into research looking to find the drawbacks of stem cells. Private funding wants positive research. So sure private funding will support stem cell research, but we wont know the problems that these things may cause. The government would fund this type of research tho, and that research will not take place now. Remember, its immoral to take stem cells from blastocysts that are going to be destroyed anyway,
  23. Were you drinking red stripe at all yesterday?
