  1. but if you look at it closely, its rather easy to do. he filled the team with superstars at all the starter roles, and then for backups, he basically picked minimum wage rooks or second year players. Also, as said, he did not take into consideration more than 1 year. sure, dwight freeny is playing this season for roughly $72.14, btu next year his contract will skyrocket. Also, he picked lance briggs, who is dirt cheap, but is holding out in chicago.
  2. 6. God Bless you Mira. He'll be with you through all of this.
  3. Well, tell your !@#$ing bacteria to stop contaminating my stem cell cultures!
  4. i question how long the protein itself can functionally last on the surface of these DVD's. Hes shown that it can stay in the excited state for long periods of time, but eventually the protein will degrade and breakdown. I'd hate to lose gigs of data because i licked my finger and rubbed the DVD to get a spot off of it. interesting technology tho, and i will be interested to see how this progresses.
  5. Do you know how i know Puhonix is gay? We went to his house for the 4th, and he made a spinach dip in a bread bowl. (serious)
  6. What i meant was that marv didnt just go after glamour and flash players. he brought in solid players who are going to give it their all every single play. Players that WANT to play, and players that are part of a team, not a bunch of "me's"
  7. Dude, the reach-around isnt gay, its just courtesy... (its from the extended scence on the DVD)
  8. who cares that donanoe never said it? All that trickster did was put a fresh coat of paint on a rotten termite infested house every offseason, so it looked all pretty to the fand and the media. Then when everyone got a look inside, there was no guts. Marv has stripped the house down of that rotten, freshly painted wood, and it building from the foundation up. Of course its going to take time. but in this new NFL, a team can go from "re-building" to "super bowl" in 2-3 years.
  9. 58 minutes spent getting it up doesnt count as part of the hour...
  10. quite simple. fez is giving the game away free, which is perfectly legal. The NFL doesnt care if you record the game and give it to people for free, because you are not making money re-broadcasting it. I've dubbed old bills games on VHS for friends before for free. thats fine. All i am doing to get a game from fez is buying a blank DVD, asking my buddy fez to burn the copy, and paying for him to ship it to me. Duey is making money off selling the games. Thats his perogative. I'll stick with fez.
  11. hmmmm, a cut o-lineman? maybe the bills should look into picking him up?
  12. wow. i thought those were going to be a twice a year type of deal, every single year. i liked seeing them for a game or 2.
  13. he also likes the maple leafs...strike 2
  14. Fez's op is also a lot more legal that duey's. Fez is charging people for the blank DVD media and for shipping, not for the actual games, which is against the law. Altho, i suppose duey and tracylee could get quite a business going...
  15. i'd have to vote for this line, which comes after someone predicts the bills to go 0-16 or 1-15... "i'm being a realist"
  16. i would say that cricket is even worse than soccer, but at least in cricket theres some scoring...
  17. I say that FIFA needs a rule where if you get taken off on a stretcher, you MUST sit our for X amount of game time (say 10 minutes or something) before returning. I am sick of these whining diving pansies having to be carted off the field only to come back on 30 seconds later.
  18. and if the lions or rams take whitner, then buffalo is SOL. theres no guarantees or no "probably" that whitner would have been there at any pick below us. And the consensus NOW is that draft class is good. We'll see in a few years just how good this draft class turns out. draft "value" = highly overrated
  19. i'd rather have 1 star player over 2 ok players and more draft "value"
  20. A lot fo that will depend on how good the bengals do this season. if they crash and burn and dont make the playoffs, he wont get more than 40. Its was the super bowl run/alexanders record year that really got hutch's name out, and probably got him 10-15 million more. But, with the cap going up, i guess theres a realistic chance of cinci re-signing both.
  21. while i dont think he'll get pace/jones money, he'll break the bank. He wont hit the FA market, because cinci will re-sign him or tag him. Then again, with the higher cap now in place, i guess i shouldnt be surprised to see him haul in 50 mil over 8 years. That being said, i wouldnt mind Buffalo faxing a 6-7 year 35 mil offer over to steinbach at 12:01am on the 1st day of FA.
  22. In 2002, the cincinnatti bengals were laughed at for taking some "huge reach" at #10 overall. Kiper bashed them for taking a player that wasnt supposed to go until the mid-20's. The media bashed them, saying they were still the same old bungles. That huge reach was LT Levi Jones. That huge reach turned out to be a cornerstone in their turn-around. I wonder what kiper and co think of the pick now, seeing how levi is going to ink a 30-40 million deal next offseason? I'd liek to see the media graded on their mock drafted. But thats why they are the media, because they can spout their mouths off and have no accountability for whatever they say.
  23. The NFL is changing. You are seeing a lot more Safeties getting drafted earlier that what was the norm. Team want athletic playmaking safeties, and are finding them in round 1. If you look, a safety has been taken in the top half of round 1 every draft since 2001. Sometimes, multiple safeties have been taken. Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Roy Williams, Sean Taylor are some names of highly drafted safeties. IMO, it has a lot to do with the "win-now" mentality of the NFL. A safety can be reasonably expected to step right in and start from day 1 for his team.
  24. yes, but he IS bald ugly and french...
