  1. I love this if for no other reason than it provides competition, and players will actually have to play for their spots. . No more dick moron making Keith Ellison the "starter" and bringing in some UDFAs as "competition".
  2. I am. But there are few, if any, Zags fans on here, so i figured i'd chat with the 'cuse fans. By no means do i think FSU will handle the Zags. I actually think the Zags got a low seed, and i'm picking them to beat FSU. Seeding doesn't matter too much in a 8-9 game however.
  3. Nice to see that our resident idiot and pats* fan is still foolishly prattering away about how "good" CBA was. So good in fact, that the owners chose to ditch it after 2 years and it is universally accepted that the CBA was a horrible deal for the owners.
  4. We're got a nasty defense down here. The 'noles are going to attempt to make it a 50-60 point battle. We've got very good size across the front so we can matchup with Syracuse's big guys. We've also got 3-4 players that are capable of going for 20 in any given night. The 'noles are maddeningly inconsistent, however. Kitchen, Singleton, and Alabi all can be scoring threats (althought Alabi's offensive play has fallen way off this year), but they have been streaky this year, and there's only been a handful of games where they both/all are on their game. We've been plagued by sub-par guard play as well. The biggest negative about the noles is the lack of a go-to guy in crunch time. We've got guys that can, and have hit the big shot, but the team tends to get down on themselves for stretches during games on the offensive side of the ball. We've got no leader that can carry the team during the cold stretches. FSU also tends to play up or down to their opponent, which The bottom line is FSU will play tough D and score when they can. If they can hold 'cuse in the 50s or low 60s, the 'Noles would have a legit shot at winning and scoring the upset. If 'cuse pushes the score into the 70s, FSU wont be able to hang.
  5. Its nothing but a big ass ipod touch. waste of $ if you ask me.
  6. I'd offer the 'cuse fans a scouting report on my 'noles, but apparently no one thinks they are going to beat Gonzaga.
  7. Nope. You're dead wrong, as usual. The league is up a creek on this one, because they KNEW that there was an ingredient in StarCaps that was deemed illegal and failed to notify the players about it. Players called the NFL hotline and were told that there was nothing illegal with StarCaps. StarCaps contains bumetanide, which is banned by the NFL. Bumetanide is NOT (or was not) listed as an ingredient in StarCaps. The NFL knew this, and knew that StarCaps contained bumetanide, but failed to properly notify the players. That's negligence on the NFL's part.
  8. The way it's written, the Florida law states that smoking is only allowed in places where food is "incidental" income. So there are a good number of bars that allow smoking. If food is the main draw, then smoking isn't allowed. As for the school, what would they have done if the girl and her girlfriend decided to go "separately" and then simply danced with each other when they got there?
  9. So in the other thread (the Buccs FA thread), you complain about how the Bills haven't even looked at guys to increase the depth, but now you whine and complain when they bring someone in for a look-see for depth?
  10. I may have to block you for admitting that you actually like Cowturd. That shows a serious lapse in judgement. The guy is no more than a blowhard idiot. I dont think he's ever had an original thought enter that thick little skull of his. Then again, anyone looks good compared to screamin A smith.
  11. One of the comments was dead on. How can team be the "winners" in FREE AGENCY when they only made some trades?
  12. Well, they've got a young DT they drafted last year, and they just acquired Corey Williams. They DO need someone to protect Stafford. It wouldn't be a long shot. I'll tell you what tho, the radio guys down here (Buccs fans) are absolutely giddy with the thought of Bradford-Okung going 1-2.
  13. Great discussion as always. I'm starting to think that "Jacob" might not actually be Jacob, but perhaps the MIB? Also, we're seeing everyone "choosing sides" either with Jacob or the MIB. The real question remains, which side is "good" and which side is "bad"? I don't think we know yet. Right now it seems as Jacob's side is geared towards keeping everyone on the island and choosing a protector (captor?), while the MIB is geared towards getting off of the island (freeing, or escaping?) Finally, what the hell is whidmore doing? We know he's after Ben, but is he on the MIB or the Jacob side of the upcoming conflict?
  14. Pretty much. Have you seen florida's recent schedule?
  15. Do you actually think up and type the same boring drivel repeatedly, or do you have a software program that takes the phrases "ralph is cheap", "the bills suck", "nix is old", and "smithers" and randomly generates sentences? Either way, your contribution to discussion is minimal.
  16. Well, if they deal him for a 2, he's no longer an RFA, its a straight up trade. He was tendered at the 1st round level. But, any team trading for him would probably want to lock up Gaither long term. Personally, i'd make the trade in a heartbeart. Get a good LT who can play from day 1 for a 2nd round pick? Sure. What do you think of Tony Moll? He's only got the 5th round tender. Would it be worth tossing a chunk of change his way and hoping that the Ravens don't match?
  17. Who cares if the guy turns out to be good? I couldn't give two sh#%s about what some douchebag "mock drafters" think. If he is slated to go in the teens and we draft him at #9 and he proves to be a good NT, then who cares if we could have gotten better "value"?
  18. Why are you cruising for dudes on match.com?
  19. Pete and Chuckknox are leading the idiot brigade, if that counts as news.
  20. Brown sat for years behind Pat White. not terribly shabby, and probably worth taking a 4th-5th round flier on.
  21. Can't take the credit. My girl came up with that. Her idea on the series ending is that it will close with Jack and Sawyer sitting on the beach like Jacob/MIB were last season, starting the "game" anew.
  22. 11-0 ring a bell?
  23. The real question is in the war between Flocke and Jacob, which side is "good" and which side is "evil". I'm not really sure which one is which. I agree a bit with Dank in that the series is straying a bit. I am hoping they are just setting up for a hell of a finish. Perhaps Jack/Sawyer are being recruited to be the new Jacob/MIB? Regarding this week's ep, it was good to see Sayid in whoop ass mode again. I'm glad he killed dogen and Lennon. Those 2 were douchebags.
  24. The playoff system is definitely better than the old way. With the old way, someone could build a huge lead, and coast the last 1/4th of the season and still win. Not to mention that you didn't even need to win races, as was mentioned above. The playoff system has led to a couple of championships being decided in the final race or 2, as opposed to the old way where drivers would lock things up with 3-5 races left. I do have a problem with the overall points system in general. There's simply a lot of luck involved in NASCAR, and i hate how 1 bad wreck or DNF can almost kill the championship hopes. Its not your fault if some scrub cuts a tire along side you, wrecks you, and you finish 35th and drop 150 points in the standings. MY idea would be to still issue points, but after the top 15 or 20, points should be awarded in tiers, not for places. So maybe 21-25 gets the same amount of points, 26-30 get a few less points, and 30 and higher get the fewest points. To me, there's no difference if you crash and finish 40th, or crash a bit later and finish 32nd. I'd like to make it so 1 bad finish in the playoffs due to whatever still leaves you in the hunt. One more issue i have with the playoff system is the track distribution. There are a handful of different tracks they visit. The superspeedways (daytona, talladega), short tracks, road courses, and the staple, 1.5 milers. There are 26 races pre-playoff, with something like 16 1.5 milers and 10 other tracks. However, the playoff is composed largely of 1.5 mile tracks. I think there are only 2 non-1.5 mile tracks. Its a big reason why Jimmie Johnson has won 4 straight. The guy is a hell of a racer, but he's really good at the 1.5 mile tracks. I think there needs to be a wider distribution of track types in the 10 race playoff. The past couple of seasons, he plods along, qualifies for the playoffs, and then kicks ass on the 1.5 milers and wins it all.
