  1. Jason Garrett - Tua looks good in the cold. Next pass
  2. Last year, when we lived in our duplex, I made it a point to snowblow just so our upstairs neighbors had clear access just in case. They had to go to Urgent Care right during the middle of the first storm. So doing it while it's snowing and blowing makes for an easy final pass once all is said and done.
  3. Just got back from the first snowblower pass. A solid 8 inches of snow fell. But the winds! No chance of pointing the snow shoot in the direction of the wind. Solid 40 mph plus wind gusts out there. (As mentioned, I'm about 3 miles east of Highmark Stadium)
  4. Did you jump like a little boy on Christmas like Jim Cantore did?
  5. Time to snow blow the driveway. Game over.
  6. Singletary is a good back, but has zero breakaway speed
  7. I heard @Simon has an ultra-long-range satellite tin foil thingy to pick up all the Canadian stations. Given his current state of Covid, I'm sure he would love some company.
  8. They're too concerned on Buffalo getting its game moved and the Dolphins game didn't. This must be in the script.
  9. Wasn't the new stadium supposed to have "wind confusion"? That could have had some impact on I-90
  10. All I know is that my automobile has a full tank of gas, and my 5-gallon gas can is full to the top for my snowblower, which is in tip-top shape. This thread can now go pound sand. I'm ready to blow (some snow. Yikes, Stop thinking dirty).
  11. It's not the Bills controlling what the snow shovelers make or get. The Bills contract things like this out. Right now the contract is with Jani King. So they are the ones who set the rate and perks. Jani King could ask the Bills for tickets, but in the past, these Janitorial companies never went that far. Coffee and Hot Chocolate are all they ask for. Out of the 5 years I worked for the janitorial contractors during the Super Bowl years, we had a crew on stand-by on the field before the AFC Championship game against Joe Montana and the Chiefs. We weren't needed, so they brought all of us into the stands and watched the game. Usually, the crews are asked to leave the stadium hours before pre-game warmups and aren't allowed in until at least 2 hours after the game to pick up the trash.
  12. It's snowing at a steady clip here in Orchard Park, and now beginning to cover the ground and pavement.
  13. Point A: If the county is under a travel advisory, or possibly a travel ban, what's going to happen when a car full of fans is like 5 miles from the stadium, and local police or the Erie County Sheriff pulls them over, gives them a ticket, and then tells them to turn the car around and go back from where they came from? Point B: My son-in-law also works for New York State driving a snow plow. Plows are necessary even for a rescue mission. Because during last year's blizzard, he drove a plow from Batavia to Angola with his boss following right behind with a van. They rescued people stranded on the thruway during the blizzard. 40 people and one dog to be exact. They would load up the plow and van with people, drive back to the Cheektowaga barn, make sure those being brought were inside and safe, and go right back out. He worked a 25-hour shift that day.
  14. For what it's worth, I just saw a convoy of about 10 tractors with back ho's rolling down 20A in the direction of the stadium, with a New York State pickup truck with lights on bringing up the rear (all in the name of safety, of course). Looking like to me that 1 pm tomorrow is the game.
  15. Yeah. Nothing here now. Except my dog pooping in the mud pit more commonly known as our back yard.
  16. I live about 3 miles from the stadium due east. Was sleeting when I got up. (6:30 am), now it's heavy wet snow. Not much wind to speak of.
