  1. If Shotemhinder is the new Bills H/C, I'll have a few Bills hats, and a couple of old Bills Jersey's available. I'll become a Raiders or 49ers fan. I hate that f*$%ing idiot so much, I'll turn my back on the Bills forever if he is indeed hired. Edited for new page BAM!!!
  2. RUSH FREAKIN' ROCKS!!!! If you haven't pick up the R30 DVD, do it! You won't be dissapointed!
  3. Try cooking turkey the traditional way, but cover it completely with Bacon!!! All that bacon fat seeping into the turkey!!! Nothing better!!!
  4. Yeah, RIGHT!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2278077 Brees suffers torn labrum, faces four-month rehab Associated Press SAN DIEGO -- Chargers quarterback Drew Brees has a torn labrum in his right shoulder and plans to have surgery as quickly as possible. Brees dislocated the shoulder in Saturday's home loss to the Denver Broncos. The team suspected then that he had a torn labrum, which was confirmed during an MRI on Sunday. The fifth-year pro plans to get a second opinion from noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. "Obviously I'd like to get this thing operated on as soon as possible," Brees said Monday. "We're all very optimistic. The doctors are very optimistic, saying that this is something that they've seen before, done before, It shouldn't be a big deal." Brees anticipates a four-month rehab. Brees was hurt late in the second quarter Saturday. He dropped back to pass in his end zone and was blindsided by safety John Lynch, who knocked the ball loose. Brees dived for the ball and defensive tackle Gerard Warren landed on him. "In order for it to be dislocated, some other things are going to have to give way. The labrum was the thing that kind of gave way," Brees said. "I feel like I'm going to come back better than ever. In my mind, I don't think anything's changed. I'm serious." Brees' injury could complicate the Chargers' decision on their quarterback surplus. Brees played this year under an $8 million, one-year contract as the team's "franchise" player, while backup Philip Rivers has four years left on his contract. Rivers replaced Brees on Saturday and led the Chargers on their only scoring drive. Brees led the Chargers to the AFC West title in 2004, but regressed some this season. The Chargers (9-7) missed the playoffs for the ninth time in 10 seasons. My prediction (and you can't spell prediction without d-i-c), Brees will be out until the 4th to 6th game of the 2006 season. Torn Labrum's require a minimum of 6 months, just to get the strength back to throw. Then it's getting your accuracy back, getting back into football shape. 4 month rehab is a pipe-dream.
  5. TD isn't going to Minn. Ziggy, the new facist owner of the Vikings is gonna try to hire the ghost of Stalin as the coach, citing something about discipline...
  6. I was walking at Pier 39 in S.F., and saw Bill Walsh walking out of the Sports Clothing Store there. He was shoving a Bills sweater and hat he just bought into a clothing back he had from his days at Stanford. I heard him say to his wife, "Don't let any Bills fans out here see this! Mr. Wilson wants my hiring as President/GM/Co-Owner to come as a complete surprise." Then he bought some coffee, and proceeded to swim to Alcatraz. Really...
  7. With the pace you're on today, you'll be at 100,000 by the end of the Rose Bowl.
  8. Since we're at it... [wishfull thinking]Package Willis with our #1 this year, and another, to Houston. Get the #1 pick. Package J.P. with a couple of choices next year (one of them being our #1) to N.O., for the #2 pick overall. Draft Bush and Leinhert Back-to-back.[/wishfull thinking]
  9. Moving down lower in the draft makes it sure that the "glamour pics" are not there. This is where good player evaluation comes into play... "BRING ME A NEW BILLS GM BEFORE APRIL SANTA!!!"
  10. I don't know if this has been mentioned. I know that Larry Ellison (Oracle) wants a football team badly! If he bought the Bills, that would probably purchase their ticket out of Buffalo, but with Ellison's attitude, he would at the very least, spend money in the short term, to get the Bills to a powerful level, then move them. He would tout them as a winning franchise, that needs to be in a winning city. Not a slam against Buffalo, but that is just how Ellison works.
  11. - Let's see you out in 100 degree plus weather pick the food that you eat, pick the grapes for the wine you drink, etc. - In your infinate wisdom, you would have known that California was a part of Mexico no more than 150 years ago. - Even the Mexicans can defeat the French! (Cinco de Mayo). If it was not for Immigrants from south of the border, Illegal or not, this country would stop! Not only in California, but I bet there is a large community of workers in Western New York right now, doing the jobs most of you wouldn't even think of doing! The argument that they're taking jobs away from those of us who have a right to live here is not valid. Again, let's see you out in 100 degree plus weather pick the food that you eat, etc. If we were to send all illegal immigrants back tomorrow, the U.S. Economy would stop dead in it's tracks! Then we would be invaded by England, and we would fall back under Brittish rule. (Sometimes, that really isn't a bad idea!)
  12. The foothills of the Sierra Mountains is also not a very friendly place to those of color.
  13. Thoughts and prayers to the Dungy family. No matter what music his son listened to.
  14. No. Not as stupid as others saying that the Bills are trying to loose, so TD can move the team out of Buffalo. That being said, Joel Giambra could do a better job as GM than Mel Jr.
  15. Today is December 21st, or 12/21, or... 21 12! At 9:12pm, or 21:12 play that CD of the same, and your day will be complete!
  16. Do I love Buffalo? I will always love Buffalo, but I don't exactly miss living there. The Bay Area has soooooo much to offer. You can literally go to a pro sports game of some kind every single weekend out of the year. People talk about driving for 30 to 45 minutes going from Buffalo to the country. Here, 1 1/2 hours and your from Downtown S.F. to the Napa Valley, and there isn't a more peaceful or beautiful place to visit. There are things I definately miss. The building architecture in and around Buffalo is the best anywhere! Although there are some very good restraunts out here, nothing compares to the amount of great restraunts in Buffalo! One thing that has changed since I've moved from Buffalo, is that I don't drink nearly as much as I did. I would be at the old Three Coins on N.F. Blvd. 3 to 4 nights a week, sometimes spending as much as $100 just on drinks (not all for myself!). Out here, a hard night of drinking is maybe 3 beers? The thing I definately see lacking is the widespread community support for teams like the Bills or Sabres. That's probably because there is such a wide choice, but the passion level doesn't even compare to those who are fans of Buffalo teams. Talk to a 49ers or Giants fan, and the overwhelming majority of them don't know a lick about sports. They just think they are better than everyone else. Also, I've lost track over how many requests the management of McCovey's in Walnut Creek have had asking the "loud and obnoxious fans of those Bills" to leave, because we were making too much noise, and thus disrupting their lunch! One time they brought me over to a complaining couple, and asked the couple to leave, because in their words, "These Bills fans bring the type of atmosphere we want on a Sunday Morning!"
  17. Y Y Z The only initials anyone really needs to remember!
  18. I was hearing on the local Peoples Republic of Berkley news here, that Donadahoe was petitioning the Governator (no relation) for clemency for Tookie, so he would become the strength and conditioning coach. Donadahoe believes that is where the Bills problems lie.
  19. Listening to Vince Young on ESPN Gameday yesterday, he isn't gonna be available for the draft. He basically said that he will return to Texas next year. But man! I would take him over Leinart in a flash!
  20. Very good points. I am not an ex-NFL receiver (although I did say in a Holiday Inn, once). I would like to see more consistancy in terms of catching the ball, and I would be completely sold! Otherwise, too inconsistant to have as a regular.
  21. Watching in Walnut Creek, CA. All games were on. Sporadic cheers for whomever people are routing for. When Josh Reed scored the late T.D., everyone in the place applauded and cheered. Even the 5 Pats fans in front of me. All I could do is laugh.
  22. Jerry Porter hasn't been the receiver the Raiders had hoped. With Tuiassapo now the QB in Oakland, a Moulds/Randy Moss combo would be just downright deadly.
