10/18/21 Gameday Bills @ Titans Postgame thread
Georgia Bill replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. It says we are afraid we can't beat you in the 5th quarter. Play scared - lose. -
stupid call. Kick the damn ball and win in OT. Daboll got greedy.
-
Frankly, I don't think you beat the Bucs twice in a season. So I'd be quite happy to lose the first one in a squeaker, end up 15-2 with home field, and beat them again about a month and a half later 😄

The rotation worked great last night. At first after seeing KC hold the ball a long time and us scoring much quicker I got the old "crap, they're going to wear us down and by Q4 the D will be spent" concern. NOT! They were looking really fresh even near the end, still swarming. I like a great D even more than a great O, and am loving what I'm seeing from this unit so far - fun to watch!

Wow that SUCKS! Here in Atlanta I've been looking forward to watching the Bills - Chiefs on my man cave big screen TV for weeks (the only Bills game that's aired locally so far), and at the last minute Dish shuts off NBC. Just found out this morning - WTF!!! I guess I'll have to go see if I can get Peacock Premium loaded on the TV. What an unexpected disappointment and pain in the ass! Dish did this BS previously with AMC, then HBO. I understand that they're saying the company that provides the locals is trying to rape them with an outrageous increase in fees, but it looks like Dish's policy in such cases is always the same - we'll play hardball and just shut off the programming to our subscribers, and blame it on "the other side". Me thinks that is not a winning strategy with their customer base.

Highmark Stadium now requiring vaccination for entry
Georgia Bill replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the US we have 660,000 deaths among 41 million Covid cases, or 1 death for about every 62 cases. Hell, assume that number of cases is way underestimated, assume it was among 160 million cases - that's still 1 death for about every 240 cases. The mortality rate is not "so low". If 1 out of even 1000 died from just getting vaccinated, we'd have had 180,000 deaths due to vaccination by now (180 million fully vaccinated). That's not the kind of thing that just gets covered up/not reported. The real numbers that have died due to vaccination are immensely lower than that. Then again the types of people who believe in conspiracies could probably be convinced to believe just about anything. For what? To suggest it is "safer" to not be vaccinated than to be vaccinated is simply a ridiculous argument. -
9/12/2021 Steelers @ Bills Post Game thread

Same with Dan Fouts and the Chargers. You can have a great passing attack, but need to have some balance. -
I took a look at the Chiefs forum on JJ Watt. It looks just like this one, including the photoshopped picture of him in a Chiefs jersey, the claims he's past his prime, the claims he'd make the D better, that it would be good to get him if the price was right (due to cap issues), and that if he's chasing a ring this would be a great place to land. Swap "Bills" for "Chiefs" and it all reads the same 😄

Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?
Georgia Bill replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, you're right on that second bullet - the Bills have had pretty good success against Brady and Gronk - that would have surely worked to our advantage -
I agree, if we had gone to the SB and lost it would have been devastating, adding another chapter onto to a painful legacy. It is VERY important that this team WINS it's first trip to the SB, otherwise all the "same old Bills" crap will come out, "O-fer", the "curse" talk, etc. Can't have any of that...

Super Bowl Thread: KC at Tampa Bay
Georgia Bill replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be watching with interest to see if the Bucs defense can find a way to slow down Mahomes and Co. Many people here saying you can't slow them down, so your only way to beat them is with an offense that can keep up with them. I'm skeptical of that - it would imply a need to be virtually perfect on offense. I am still optimistic that a well schemed defense with talent can slow down the high power offenses. The Bucs defense isn't the highest ranked, by a long shot, but they've been playing pretty damn good in the playoffs. IF they can bother/affect Mahomes, that will be something to take into consideration as we think about what the Bills highest priority needs are. As for the Brady hate - I would much rather see the Chiefs go down in the Super Bowl. Brady's days are numbered, I really don't care if he gets another ring. -
Simms breakdown of the game
Georgia Bill replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm very interested in seeing if Tampa Bay can slow them down or not. They did a good job on the Packers. If a defense can slow them, it may make the "no one can stop them" argument lose a little merit. We shall soon see - there might be more than one way to skin the cat. -
Was that our easiest playoff loss to take?
Georgia Bill replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe they'll get so bored they'll lose a few games next year, and we can take the number one seed 😄 -
I think it will be very interesting to see if the Bucs can find a way to beat the Chiefs or at least significantly slow their offensive fireworks. If they do - start figuring out how to copy that. Also, what is with all the Andy Reid coaching genius love? Sure he won one Super Bowl, but he also got his team into the playoffs lots of times and couldn't get there, and to 5 NFC championship teams, but his record in those was 1-4. If we end up 1-4 in AFC championship games with McDermott, is he going to go down as a genius? Fans here would be roasting him alive.

Thanks Bills for a great year! We improved more and went farther than I thought possible, and they gave us some great games. Let's add some pieces in the offseason to help us get to the next level. No need for a tear down or rebuild, nor over-reactions just because of this one game. Just fill in the missing pieces. Thanks again - go Bills!
