Week 12: Bills at Lions on Thanksgiving
Georgia Bill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know you're all past this point, but for sure it was blue on blue. My avatar is Josh getting the first down on a fourth down keeper play in that Dallas game and you can see the blue on blue. Josh was not going to be denied on that play, and right then it became obvious to me that we had secured a hell of a QB - he won me over with his grit. -
bumping this, not sure anyone has noticed it...

Ah yes, that was quite a storm. These are a couple of pictures I took near my Aunt's house in Town of Tonawanda. It seems like this snowfall that's going on now is going to top that one! -
NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread
Georgia Bill replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who the F gives a crap about whether Josh Allen gets MVP? I'm kind of sick about hearing all that talk. We need to win games and championships. If he is worrying about being MVP we have a real problem. -
I was stunned to read that he was replaced by someone with NO NFL or college coaching experience. Found this: "The Indianapolis Colts hired Jeff Saturday, who has never coached above the high school level, as their interim head coach on Monday. The move stunned fans, the news media and executives of other N.F.L. teams. Saturday, most recently an ESPN analyst, was a two-time All-Pro center for the Colts and the Green Bay Packers over a 14-year career. But as a coach, his only job has been as an assistant and then the head coach at Hebron Christian Academy, a high school in Dacula, Ga., a suburb northeast of Atlanta. His record there was 20-16." I lived in Dacula, GA for 14 years. There is some pretty good high school football teams in the Atlanta metro area, but Dacula is a sleepy little suburb and the Hebron Christian academy football team was never taken seriously and was mostly laughed at by the big boy teams in the public schools. How the hell he made the jump from there to being a head coach in the NFL is a real puzzler.

NFL Week 8: Packers at Bills - post game thread
Georgia Bill replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. I think the Bills thought the Packers were going to HAVE to start throwing the ball in the second half, and they stuck to their guns in being prepared for it. It cost us in the run game with respect to yardage, but normally, if you're down three scores in the second half against a team with a competent offense, running the ball is not a winning strategy. It did not turn out to be one for the Packers. They never got closer than 10 points after our first couple scores and the Bills secured the win without much drama. I'll take it. Something we need to keep in mind is all the media keeps talking about is how great the Bills are, how they're the Super Bowl favorite, etc. EVERY team we play is going to come at us with everything they have because they want to prove themselves. -
Let's hope it's built in just the right position that the visiting team never gets any sun, while the Bills sidelines gets as much as possible for 1 pm start times. Just opposite of Miami's stadium that keeps the Dolphins sideline nice and shady while visitors broil.

I was amazed at how loud that crowd was, all game long (til the last 51 seconds of course). It has to be hard to play in that. I look forward to having that Chiefs team in a crazy loud Bills stadium for the AFC Championship, with the Bills feeding off the crowd's energy. The Pats got a taste of that in last years home playoff game. So much to look forward to - Go Bills!!!

NFL week #6 - The Bills at the Chiefs - 2nd half game thread
Georgia Bill replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
So glad they pulled out that win. Proud of our boys - KC is a tough opponent. -
I think it's crazy to think or hope that the game will be anywhere near as exciting as last year's playoff game. That was off the charts. From a sheer football purist's perspective, that wildly exciting, intense game with 25 points scored in the final 2 minutes is not likely to be topped or matched for a long time. The hype is high for Bills and Chiefs fans - with few hoping to have a game like that again and most wanting to have their team prove they are the top dog, and the more lop-sided the score the better for them. I'm in that camp. Go Bills!

NFL WEEK #4 - Bills at Ravens - Post Game Thread
Georgia Bill replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Down 20-3 I posted this in the first half thread (when all the boo birds were aflutter): "So, looks like we won't get a blowout win today, we'll have to win a close one " It's too early to give up due to one bad half. Glad the Bills didn't. -

Brady tried to engineer his way to Miami: TAMPERING!
Georgia Bill replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall
He saw Von Miller signed with Buffalo and might become the only starter in the NFL to win a Super Bowl with three different teams. And he got jealous and said "well hell, I could do that too". -
That was the "non-call" where Higgins face masked Ramsey and got away with it. At least 9 times out of 10 in regular season that is called as offensive PI. I really think that was the play that caused the Rams defense to catch fire, which led to their victory.

But does he love the Bills? Would he always love his Patriots more and feel like he was disrespecting them moving into their division? I think if this happened the despicable hit on Tre would come up in the media. For the sake of team unity and preventing awkward press questions to both, he'd have to publicly apologize. If he said he wouldn't - F him...
-
There's really no comparison between them though. Brady deserves the attention and praise. Until someone does more (very unlikely), he is undoubtedly the GOAT. I hated all the wins he helped orchestrate against the Bills, but you have to admire what he accomplished. It just sucked that he was in our division.

All three other games that weekend ended with the winning team kicking a field goal to win it on the final play. Every one of the teams that lost are wondering how in the world their defense let that damn other team get into field goal range. We're not alone in all the second guessing of play and/or coaching.
