Referee Tony Corrente corrupt as *****!!!
Coach Tuesday replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a mess -
On Sunday it was clear Beasley was injured and not only were they force-feeding him, they were slamming him into the defense on bubble screens as a substitute for a running game. He got beat up even more and could barely finish the game. It was General MacArthur-level insanity and it’s squarely a coaching/communication issue - really bad look for McDermott.

You're spinning out of control the last few days.

Wyatt Teller-the one that got away
Coach Tuesday replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Colossal failure of internal scouting and player evaluation. So far - and it's not even over - Beane's continued mis-evaluation of Cody Ford has cost the team Wyatt Teller, DK Metcalf (who could've been drafted instead of Ford) or Dalton Risner (same), and Jack Anderson who was poached by the Eagles off our PS a few weeks ago. Disgraceful. All GMs make mistakes but this is a really, really big one. -
Beane keeps throwing second round picks in the garbage. If you’re going to whiff every year on those you might as well start trading them for established vets.

See I don’t buy this. Every offensive line can run block. It’s much easier than pass blocking and helps the line establish an aggressiveness and rhythm. With the Bills the problem seems schematic to me - precision blocking and disguising the running plays as pass plays simply doesn’t work with the level of “talent” they’ve collected (and vastly under-coached and overpaid). Go heavy and pound the rock until the line gets in a rhythm and starts to establish the LOS. It just simply is NOT that hard to run the ball in today’s NFL against light defenses built to stop the pass. Something is fundamentally wrong with their entire approach and let’s be honest it’s been a problem for the entire Daboll era.

We have a terrific field goal kicker we hate to use
Coach Tuesday replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I was wondering also whether McD didn’t want to risk letting the refs give them a first down with a penalty. -
That will get Josh killed.

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
Coach Tuesday replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Pats are built on offense to play well against the light, pass-focused defenses of today’s NFL. Two good tight ends, power backs, and linemen who can run block - they found the inefficiency in the market and exploited it. They also have an identity on offense and a QB who plays within the structure (because he has to). They are dangerous for sure, and that’s just on offense… -
I’m starting to disagree here. Daboll called 9 runs in a 9-6 game. His line can’t hold their pass blocks long enough for deep passing routes to materialize, and Allen fixates on the big play and won’t take underneath options if there is eye candy downfield. I’m starting to think they should stay in 11 or 12 personnel, commit to a running and play action game (NOT RPO, though), and eliminate the deep options until Allen, the line and the backs adjust their style of play. Otherwise teams will continue to keep their safeties deep and dare Allen to throw into coverage, and he simply cannot stay disciplined enough to avoid it. I’m on the fence with this. You’re right that the safer approach is to lean into your strengths but I fear we’ll just keep seeing the same result over and over again if we don’t fundamentally change the approach. In the offseason I would go shopping for a new line coach, some guards and new backs. Beane should do some serious self-scouting on his evaluation skills wrt the interior line.

Give Allen some credit for his play today

Josh Allen (the QB) agrees with my take but I’m sure he appreciates the soft landing here. -
Give Allen some credit for his play today
Coach Tuesday replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have seen Big Ben win MANY games in his career just like this one, where his line was garbage and the playcalling was odd and his receivers were uninterested. He often overcomes (or used to) those conditions. Josh was a huge part of the problem today. I’m giving him no credit for sucking and neither should you. Hell, he admitted in his post-game that he played like sh—. Blind loyalty does no favors. -
Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
Coach Tuesday replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
You really can’t know for sure until you see how they and other teams respond. If Allen permanently loses trust in his protection and the playcalling, if Diggs checks out or starts griping, if McBeane circles the wagons on Cody Ford to prove a point, if other teams play deep shell zone because they trust their front four to manhandle the Bills’ line, then yes. -

Top three things Beane’s mis-evaluation of Cody Ford has cost us: 3) Wyatt Teller 2) DK Metcalf 1) Homefield advantage in the 21/22 playoffs -

You are demanding that someone prove the un-provable. On both INTs there was no reason to make the throw he made. -

Both interceptions were colossally dumb decisions where there was no need to press. Both fumbles were on botched plays were better situational football and following the play design avoids disaster. No one played well today. But Allen was atrocious in the second half and they couldn’t overcome it. -

McD pulled him aside on the Jax botched challenge time out and told him not to take a sack - that a field goal was fine there. Allen took a sack. He is at a crossroads. Huh? Show me another time I’ve ever posted about this? -

I know you aren’t good at digesting things like reality and objective evidence. There are no “Allen haters” on this forum that I’m aware of. Allen had a decent first half and a four-turnover second half where he stacked bad decisions. He makes a quarter billion dollars and was completely flummoxed by the worst pass defense in the NFL. He was trash today.
