  1. I'm right there with you! I love Morbius and was excited for the movie already. Seeing a Von Miller x Marvel colab got me so pumped.
  2. The Draft Network is so CB heavy in the first round. It's hard to even land Elam at 25 now in their sim. I hope their system doesn't translate to the actual Draft.
  3. "Bad Things" vibe. Looks like we've got a legit monster on our hands 😉
  4. Pretty simple. Beane has faith that what he saw last season from him in a small sample size will continue. This is proven by his matching the deal. If he signed him to a one year 2nd round tender - then he'd be a FA again after this season. And if he performs up to expectations, the price tag would have went WAY up. So in letting him go out and test the market now, he was able to get him long term this year at a much lower price than he expects to have had to next season.
  5. At first I was confused as to why they didn't put him on a 2nd round tender so they could have had him for cheaper with no competition. But now that I think about it, I wonder if this was what Beane wanted all along. He wanted Bates to sign a long term deal with another team so that he could get Bates locked up long term at what his market is now after a small sample size. As opposed to what he perceives his market will be after a full year as a starter.
  6. Draft Booth, McDuffie, or Elam (in that order) at 25 if either are there. If not, try to trade down a little bit to grab McCreary, Gordon, or Woolen and grab some extra picks. Or select at another position at 25 and trade up from 57, if you're feeling so bold and/or you're a big fan of Woolen (might even be able to stand Pat at 57 for him if the board falls correct). Sign a mid-tier FA veteran willing to come to play for a winning team on a discount to fill in at CB1 or CB2 (depending on how quickly the rookie picks things up) while Tre is gone and to provide added depth to Dane Jackson alongside Taron Johnson in the Nickel for when he returns. Done.
  7. So let me get this straight, there wasn't a single team that would give a late round pick for him because no one wanted to take on his 14.3 million dollar contract and he thinks someone will pay him 20? Methinks Jarvis has taken one too many shots to the head.
  8. Okay, maybe just ignore it then? If you Google Stefon Diggs, there's a TON of news articles discussing this. There's two on the front page of ProFootballTalk right now. Things have progressed to his brother, who he's extremely close with, openly talking about his hope he could be moved to the Cowboys. Whether or not it's yours or @Westside's cup of tea, it is something being talked about by Bills fans and non-Bills fans alike. It has become news worthy and it is something to keep an eye on. Or don't. That's your prerogative.
  9. This entire board is discussion about things we have no control over lol
  10. The fact that this is 50/50 is mind boggling to me. You don't find Stefon Diggs route running and playmaking ability every year in the Draft. Pay the man.
  11. It's a good thing no one has ever thought to not play and hold out because they don't like their current deal. Also a very good thing Stefon Diggs doesn't have a history of posting cryptic things on social media, causing issues behind the scenes, and ultimately forcing the team he was on to trade him. ... oh, wait.
  12. Yep. This is getting increasingly scary. I doubt Trevon is just posting this as a random thought. Give the man an extension and some money up front with an out after a few seasons. He's too important to what we're currently building for him to be unhappy or ask for a trade.
  13. While I don't think we're going to match it, I find it interesting Beane hasn't said 'yay' or 'nay' by now. Makes me think he's looking into his other options and isn't 100% one way or the other yet.
  14. Uh huh. We cut Cole Beasley, Daryl Williams, Jon Feliciano, AJ Klein, and Star Lotulelei. We re-structured Micah Hyde, Matt Milano, and Matt Haack. We extended Mitch Morse, lowering his cap figure. Save for a Diggs or an Edmunds extension, all of the obvious moves have been done already. We're at 7.6 over. We'll need about 2.4 for Draft Picks. Bradberry would cost us another 6.5. So we'd have to roughly come up with another 16.5 million to do it. Really not as simple as you want it to be. And that would include them not only paying half of his salary, but also eating 12 million in Dead Cap. I don't think they're going to do all of that for a late round pick. So we'd have to give up, probably a 3rd, for a 1 year rental. Bc Beane isn't going to pay Tre what we're paying him and back up the brinks truck on the CB2 with everyone we have coming up.
  15. @Hapless Bills Fan has kept a comprehensive post here on the board meticulously calculating the Top 51. It's on the first page. 7.6 million over for the Top 51 without Taiwan Jones calculated.
  16. We're 7.6 million over the cap (plus Taiwan Jones' contract that we don't have the details on). We gotta free up around 10 million just to sign our picks. No way we're fitting Bradbury in. Maybe we can swing an E.J. Gaines level journeyman CB to join our Rookie, but you're right, we HAVE to draft a quality CB.
  17. You do understand most star RB's in the league weren't selected in Round 1, right? And Breece Hall doesn't have the complete skillset of the studs that were. If this were two seasons ago and you focused only on the top two guys, CEH and D'Andre Swift, and said "why take one at all" if you can't get one of them - you'd have had us not drafting the 3rd best prospect, Jonathan Taylor
  18. No, we didn't. We did meet with Rachaad White though. But he's not Breece Hall, so he's apparently not worth talking about.
  19. In relation to my point, he is. Najee Harris was taken at 24 and Travis Etienne were taken at 25. Breece Hall may be (and I'm not even convinced he is) the top RB in the Draft. But he's not the prospect that both of them were, nor did he have the college career, or production that they did. Again, I'm predicting a RB will not go as high as they did. As for who I want in Round 1? A Cornerback. Idk if you've noticed, but we don't have a CB2 and our CB1 won't be ready to start the season. We're looking at starting Dane Jackson and Cam Lewis right now. And if we don't retain Bates, we'll need a Starting Guard. And Beane has spoken of needing speed at WR. We don't have that. I'm in on taking a RB. But I think a good one can be had in Round 3. People need to stop obsessing over one guy. Watch some James Cook footage. Check out Isaiah Spiller. Breece Hall isn't so much better that he's worth ignoring other needs just to have the "It" guy.
  20. Everybody likes to point to them being interested in Etienne as reasoning that we'll be in on Hall. Two things - 1.) Hall is not Etienne. 2.) There's no saying that we would have taken Etienne at 30 if he were there. People made the connection (just as they're doing this season) that his value was in where we were selecting and that we don't have a game breaking RB. But I'd bet dollars to donuts that we still would have selected Rousseau, even if Etienne were there. They said they didn't expect him to be there. I doubt we would have passed on him for a RB. Hell, we STILL selected another DE after we took Rousseau. Which says to me DE was the focal point going in. Beane's MO is to not spend premium draft picks or premium money on the RB position. And I think that's the right call. We're only looking for a complimentary back next to Singletary. That's why we agreed to a deal with McKissic for 3.5 million per. If selecting Hall in the first were a thought, we wouldn't have made that move. And you don't shift from that to taking a guy in the 1st. It doesn't make sense. So? You don't reach for a guy just because they won't be there 32 picks later. Especially at that position.
  21. I feel like Breece Hall is not the talent that Najee Harris or Travis Etienne was coming out of college. I'd bet despite all the hype and the mocks, a RB doesn't come off the board until Round 2.
